Alex, Satoko, and Anthony were fantastic hosts! Their home was easy to find and is located in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Parking is readily available. I felt immediately welcomed and I had a wonderful conversation with them over dinner. The room was clean, cozy, and complete with fresh flowers. The bed is luxuriously comfortable. I was in town for interviews, and they were very supportive but also respectful of my privacy. Overall, I had an amazing stay and would return if I'm back in town.
This was my second time staying with Alex and his family. There are lots of things to like about this room. Fresh flowers, the room is tidied up every day, clean towels, sparkling water, and snacks. Alex is also very responsive to any issue that might come up. Thanks for an excellent stay!
Alex and his wife were super nice and accommodating. Alex let us use his laundry and even set up an ironing / hanging station for us.
The apartment was really clean and the morning coffee and pastries were wonderful.
Alex is a good host. The room was very nice and clean and in a quiet neighborhood. The bottle of San Pellegrino every day was a nice touch.
Alex and his family really made me feel at home when I stayed over. They are extremely knowledgeable about San Francisco as well as traveling and helped with planning out my stay in the city. We also had some really great conversations about many topics throughout my stay which I enjoyed. Breakfast and coffee was cooked and ready every morning and if I was in the house for any other meal I was invited to sit and eat with them. I was even a guinea pig for homemade peanut butter ice cream (which was delicious). I felt like I was more a part of the family then just a guest.
The room itself was spacious and quiet with a comfortable bed, desk, bookshelf packed with books that I was allowed to take with me while I explored the city, and a closet. The room and bathroom were tidied up every day. Parking right in front of the house was also convenient. You will need to drive or take public transit to get into the city but the bus stop is right behind their house.
Overall I had a great time and would recommend staying with Alex and his family.
Alex and his family are so friendly and nice! I already miss them and Satoko's homemade scone(It was so goooood!). The room is so clean, quite and comfortable and the bathroom has beautiful sun light in the day time. They cleaned my bathroom and changed towel everyday and it feels me like staying 5 star hotel. It's easy to access SF downtown. The bus stop is just right behind the corner but you'll enjoy walk with peaceful light breeze from twin peak.
