* More info on transferring from NYC:
We appreciate that you have many choices, so the following information is simply intended as an introduction to some of the options available to you, and is not meant to steer you in any particular direction. We are not affiliated with any of the businesses mentioned. An easy way to transfer between The North Fork and Manhattan is by luxury coach, picking up a hire car locally. The trains are good, but run infrequently and involve one or two changes. With luggage, this is not a good option. Everyone, including locals, uses Hampton Jitney, which has a convenient schedule, hostess, free wifi and a bathroom for the 2 to 2 1/2 hour journey.
For local car hire, Enterprise Cars has an office close to Hampton Jitney stop. To pre-book online, enter Zip Code 11901. It's important to note that on a Saturday, Enterprise closes at 12noon for the whole weekend, so you MUST take one of the earlier coaches to arrive around 11am if you are checking in on a Saturday. We also have Hertz Car Rentals in Cutchogue.
Other options are to take the LIRR train to the 2 big hubs at either Hicksville or Ronkokoma, then pick up a rental car there and drive the rest of the way.
Finally, we have some great guest reviews, which often include prior guest recommendations, so don't miss browsing them, then contact us if you have any other questions.

We had a very nice relaxing weekend at Joanna's studio apt. The apt was very clean and was actually nicer then we thought. The place, to us, was actually nicer then the photos show and its a very great location if your spending the weekend going to vineyards or beach. Lots of local farms and places to get fish, veggies, etc.
Having the Netflix was a huge plus for us as well! It's much better then a hotel and we would defiantly stay again sometime. Thanks again.
This was a lovely place to stay while on a weekend excursion out of the city. Everything was very clean and nice, and Joanna was very nice to email with. I would definitely AirBnB at Joanna Lane's property again!
My girlfriend and I stayed for the weekend at this listing and had a great time. The host Joanna was very nice and helpful with filling us in on the area. The apartment was great and in an ideal location to visit the wineries. We brought our own bikes and were able to get around to a lot of places that way. You do need a car to go out at night though and cabs can take a while. I would definitely stay here again though.
We had an excellent trip to the North Fork, and Joanna's apartment was delightful. We came in late and were out all weekend, so we admittedly didn't get a chance to meet Joanna and Dennis, but our stay couldn't have been better. Comfortable and well furnished, this was the perfect home base while exploring all the North Fork has to offer. Would definitely stay again!
As others have said, the place is just like in the pictures. It's on a very quiet side street in the middle of all the vineyards. The place is very clean and Joanna makes it very comfortable. I'm so glad I stayed here instead of a hotel. I enjoyed the Netflix movies for free. We also got to have coffee on the deck (provided by our host) while watching their colorful chickens. I took Joanna's suggestion and rented bikes from Dan Bike's. That was the best way to try the vineyards which I was surprised at how many great ones there were. For dinner and night life, you really do need to have a car since the better ones are in Greenport. I had such a great time in the North Fork and having a cozy place to come home to made it special.
We had a really nice stay at Joanna's place. It was clean, tidy and a good size. Only minor issue is that the refrigerator would make noise at odd hours, and since everything's in one big space, it woke us up a couple times. But aside from that we couldn't have picked a better time to come - Joanna recommended a great bike rental place and the location was a short drive/bike ride to lots of vineyards, restaurants and other towns. Thanks Joanna!
Joanna was a fabulous host to my Italian in-laws who stayed for two weeks in this beautiful apartment. It is clean and nicely decorated. Very quiet and peaceful. I recommend this spot to anyone looking for a sweet spot on the North Fork!
The location is great and the apartment is fantastic. Joanna could not have been more helpful. I would recommend staying here to anyone thinking of a trip to the Hamptons area.
Joanna was a great host, available and excellent!. The studio was quite pleasant and comfortable. The amenities she provided were excellent. Everything was super clean. The location is also terrific. You're a few minutes away from all the top vineyards (Bedell, Lenz, Osprey, Sparkling) and 15-20 mins away from downtown Greenport. I highly recommend and look forward to booking again when I visit.
My husband and I wanted to get away from the city for the weekend and we decided to visit the North Fork of Long Island. I was lucky to find this little piece of heaven! Great place to stay if you are looking for some relaxation and peace! The room was super clean and quaint! We absolutely loved it and we look forward to visiting soon on our next wine tour!
