About this listing
You will feel very relaxed and welcome in my cool Williamsburg apartment. This cute room has plenty of light, privacy and comfort. I'm so close to 3 major subway lines, super hot Williamsburg and Lower East Side. Short stay or long stay, it works
The bedroom has an excellent queen size memory foam bed and is 11" x 10". It has an AC.
There is also a cute nook table and 2 chairs, not picture for a desk or dresser.
You will be sharing with me (an actor/intuitive life coach and an artist), and potentially another cool air bnber.
We share a kitchen and bathroom. Its a cool place in an older style building on the 3rd floor. It is a walk up.
Very New York! There is lots of light.
There is a large drugstore right across the street which is very convenient and a deli right downstairs. We are also walking distance to good supermarkets etc.
I'm close to the Williamsburg bridge that you can walk over into the Lower East Side in Manhattan and get an awesome view of the city. There is no shortage of fun stuff to do and great places to go in the hood.
Price includes hotel tax.
Unfortunately my sweet old dog Neville pictured and reviewed so beautifully is no longer with me. I miss him :(
As a result I am happy to have your well behaved, non-biting, good with people, and basically quiet dog stay. I work from home with clients so they can't be big barkers or yappers but I LOVE dogs and so they are welcome here.
Please bring your furry friend!!
Your bedroom, kitchen and bathroom.
You are welcome to cook and will have a dedicated cupboard and space in the fridge. Tea, coffee, oil, spices and breakfast cereals are provided.
Interaction with Guests
This is a casual environment. Expect the kind of interaction you would have with a friendly roommate. I work from home so I am pretty available to answer questions etc.
The neighborhood is fantastic. Williamsburg has been booming the last couple of years and is much more interesting to go out to bars and restaurants than Manhattan now. We are also right next to the G train which gives you access to all the hot spot neighborhoods of Brooklyn.
You are also 10 minutes away from great party area, Lower East Side and walking distance to all the great bars and restaurants in Williamsburg, one of the hippest parts of New York.
We are also near McCarren Park where there is always a lot of summer fun going on and I'll be happy to point you in the right direction of all the good places to go.
Williamsburg is a GREAT neighborhood with lots of great beer gardens and out door event during the summer. It's also a little more chill and spacious than the city but its exceptionally convenient to get into Manhattan.
Great subway access.
One block from the G train Broadway stop
4 minutes walk to JMZ Hewes and Lorimer stops
8 minutes walk to L, G Metopolitan/Lorimer
Other Things to Note
Fresh towels and linen are provided. Unlike in in the pictures the bed now has 4 pillows.
No Smoking of any kind.
Please give notice about additional guests. You're here to have fun but please be mindful about who you bring home and send a text if you have a visitor (see additional guest fee).
Please be quiet in the kitchen & halls when I am doing client sessions. The door to my room will be shut so you will know.
Please clean up after yourself
Lost building key is $150. These are security keys and expensive to replace. The apartment key doesn't matter.
I never met Georgia as she was out of town, but Lynda who made sure I got checked in Ok was quick to respond to messages. Everything was made easy thanks to an excellent printed out fact sheet, much appreciated since it wss my first air bnb stay. Room was clean, bed comfortable, area was ok. Thanks for the stay!
When I arrived at the apartment I was met with another AirBNB guest who stayed there for a slightly longer period. No problem in itself but when I tested the bed it seemed broken. Although Georgia assured me that it was perfectly save to sleep on with some books under it I opted for the mattress on the floor. The new bed arrived the next week but we did not install it.
The neighbourhood is ok with some nice shops very close by and also two subway lines one moving North-South and one going to Manhattan in only two stops.
The room itself is ok. It looks bigger in the picture then it is in reality but it is ok if you do not intend to stay there all day. I was doing a residency so I had another place where I would work. Personally I did not like the chairs which are not very good if you have to work or sit for a longer period. The mattress was not top quality but ok and especially nice was the air-conditioning for the few days that it was really warm. There was a book shelve in the room that looked like it was on its very last legs. The apartment was clean.
The bathroom was shared between three people which was no problem since our schedules did not match. I had to wait only once for somebody else to finish. We did not meet much with each other. Everybody kept to their own rooms pretty much although I went for a beer the first night with the other airBNB guest and I also met Lynda who stayed in the room of Georgia who was travelling herself.
The apartment building was quite noisy which I had to deal with since I slept in late mostly because as a musician I visited quite a few sessions.
Overall my experience in this apartment was ok and what you would expect if you want to stay relatively cheap in New York.
The bed and room were clean. Bed frame had been broken and the bed was held up by a stack of books. Lynda, Georgia's friend, had given me a heads-up about this and said that another frame was on order; it did not present a problem with sleeping comfort. I did not have a chance to meet Lynda, who was working late, but a key was left in the deli below the apartment for me.
Stayed for 3 nights and would recommend to other airbnb'ers. Both Georgia (prior to our stay) and Lynda (during our stay) made us feel welcome and were always quick to respond to any questions. Room is as shown in the picture: small but clean and luminous. Shame the bed broke down, but this should be replaced soon, Lynda indicated. Easily accessible by metro, supermarket across the street.
The room was in a great location, and Georgia et al were incredibly helpful in making sure we were set up well to stay there. I had a fantastic experience staying here, and would recommend it for both short visits or extended stays.
The room was exactly as depicted: small but clean and luminous. The bed is comfortable. The subway is at a 2 minutes walk and the neighbourhood is great! Georgia is a friendly and very discreet host. We loved our stay, thank you Georgia!

About the Host, Georgia
I LOVE being an airbnb host!!! I have met the coolest people from all over the world doing this and I love having the interesting conversations and cultural exchange. It's like traveling without traveling and I can truly say I have made some great new friends through this.
I am an Australian who has lived in the states since 97. I have done TONS of traveling and so I know how important it is to have a friendly face to welcome you and show you the ropes. I was a professional stand up comedian and now I act and work as an intuitive life coach. I give great readings if that is up your alley!
I am social and happy to show you where is fun in the hood or leave you to discover it yourself.
