The Podere (farm) is an absolutely unique place which lies just on top of the hill facing the Rocca d’Orcia tower and holds a breathtaking view of the vast and poetic senese landscape. An old farm, recently restored so that the neatness of modern architecture blends with the antique in a very powerful final result, the Podere Perelli mantains intact all the fascination of a typical Tuscan stone building.

With it’s five different units, transformed in elegant apartments refurbished with antique family furniture, the place has the looks of a small country village. The house is in the middle of a 62 acres farm, which produces bio olive oil with experimental methods and is surronunded by 25 acres of olive trees fields and a 37 acres woodland. A very fascinating place, it’s the ideal choice to spend quiet holidays, with a strong Nature all around, which makes this hidden spot of Tuscany an authentic paradise.

The Podere Perelli is part of the Artistic Natural and Cultural Park of the Orcia Valley, recognized by UNESCO as World Heritage.
A unique landscape, with the soft slopes of its hills and the harshness of its crevices and crests of clay, this territory has been a deep source of inspiration for painters and artists throughout Renaissance.

Rich in pathways and naturalistic routes which permit a large variety of excursions (horseriding, hiking and biking), the Orcia Valley is the perfect place to admire typical Mediterranean flora and fauna (

At dawn and dusk it’s not rare to spot herds of deers lazily grazing in the fields, solitary foxes, porcupines, pheasants, plus various bird species from the cuckoo to the hunting hawk and the night owl.
Refreshing walks along country roads which skirt through vinyards, fields, woods and rivers are just out of the door. At Podere Perelli You’ll find all the information You may need to explore the area: books, maps, suggestions.

D'orcia is a beautiful Tuscan area (our favourite, in fact) and Podere Perelli was an excellent place to stay. Extremely tranquil, rustic charm with a beautiful pool, great view of the landscape and a wonderful host, Angela. She really went out of her way to take care of us and suggested great restaurants and sights in the area. We highly recommend driving or renting a car if you're staying here. If not, Angela will sync you up with driver services. We used and Paolo and team were fantastic. Beautiful location and couldn't have asked for a more idyllic place to stay.

Overall, our stay was comfortable and the grounds were super lovely. We did have a few hitches. We had a tough time finding the property. The address on the itinerary is incorrect, although I've since noticed the one on our receipt is correct. Once we got there, Angela was welcoming and brought us to our unit. There are 5 units in this property. The pictures of this unit include many pictures of the communal breakfast area, and pictures of the other units as well - it also says it has 3 bedrooms and 5 beds. Anyway, I didn't realize she was advertising several units with the same ad and that the unit we would be in was two rooms instead of 3 (the cost is the same regardless of the number of rooms because it's based on occupancy). This particular unit has two rooms and two bathrooms - one room has a large bed and a twin - it's spacious and the other room has a squeaky twin day bed, a tiny kitchen and a table and chairs. It also has the best view of all the units to the Rocca d'Orcia. It is in a very beautiful area and within a reasonable drive to several nice towns. It's secluded and quiet (unless you have neighbors - the toilets are so loud they woke me late at night and first thing in the morning). It was very nice that they provided some breakfast. It included coffee, orange juice, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal flakes, sliced bread/condiments, and some cakes. My daughter and husband really loved the pool which was also beautiful. There is even a little baby pool.

We had a lovely stay at this property. The rooms were very clean and spacious, the grounds were incredible and the view was spectacular. We enjoyed the use of the pool with our young toddler, they even had pool toys which he loved. The breakfast was much larger than expected and there was a great variety of food. The location was a great base to discover the amazing region and we wished we could face stayed longer. We would go back without question.

The hospitality shown to us by Angela and her household was really outstanding. We arrived late in the night and found ourselves lost not far away. Angela came to find us in the dark to show us the apartment. The best features of the apartment are it's stunning views of the Rocca d Orcia and the surrounding countryside, and the huge beautiful terrace available for use. We loved the poolside, it was the perfect place to spend a lazy afternoon. Breakfast was generous every morning, Angela was always kind and helpful. Definitely a winner!

We had a great time in Agriturismo Val d'Orcia. The pictures are accurate but stunning views and nicely secluded location make this place really unique. It is a great location - you can enjoy quiet time by the pool in the mornings while enjoying the views, drive to all Montalcino and Montepulciano areas in the afternoon and have great dinners in the near by local restaurants offering authentic Tuscan dishes and great wines in reasonable prices. The host is very nice and welcoming and makes you feel at home - also lady helping her is super nice. The rooms are typical Tuscan house rooms and are comfortable and clean. Our room (no. 5) was equipped in AC units which helps in the summer time. Breakfast are simple BUT really tasty thanks to fresh croissants and home made fig, plum and other marmalades which are to die for. This is what I was expecting on my way to Tuscany and I've got it plus some more. Great place, great people, great views and great food, great wines....cant ask for more. Grazie!

Olimpia was very helpful in the booking and Angela was lovely in greeting us. It is indeed a bit difficult to find, however Anjela met us and drove us there so we had no problems. The pictures of the apartment are very realistic, and everything was very, very clean. We have a 1 year old and they generously provided a baby cot and also an inflatable pool as the water in the big pool was a bit too chilly. Angela helped us with directions and was there but not too imposing. We felt that we could come and go as we pleased. The location is a bit farther from Montalcino than expected due to the dark winding roads at night, but overall we were very happy here and found this a wonderful spot in Tuscany to base ourselves. Lovely stay!
