Everything we needed, very comfie, bikes were a huge plus, and totally considerate and lovely host. The location is a short distance to groceries and nightlife, but tucked into a quiet residential neighborhood. Perfect for independent travelers. If we come back through NOLA, we would stay at one of Tara's spots most definitely.
This apartment is so clean, so wonderfully and uniquely decorated, and a great location. Tara our host was so friendly and accommodating. Best part is it was very cheap for how nice the accommodations are. Bikes, Laundry, and Kitties! I wholeheartedly recommend you to stay here.
Tara was absolutely wonderful. She has a lovely attitude, a pretty trendy space, would communicate with me every day, and was very accommodating. She oriented me to the area near the BnB, and made herself available for any needs or concerns I had. I wasn't a big fan of NOLA; but, I was a HUGE fan of Tara and her place!
Came to New Orleans for a fun way to celebrate Halloween. Tara's place fit our needs exactly and had some special design vision that made our trip exra special. It was easy to forget you are in a big city with the friendly chickens coming to the back door to say "hi" and cute puppies that love some belly rubs. The garden is private and makes you feel like you stepped into a different world. We enjoyed the bikes and were able to explore the city without ever getting back in our car.
Tara was an excellent hostess and was very responsive to questions and requests. Can't wait to visit again and see her progress on the property. Thanks for the memories!!
Tara is great. Nice house really near of the center. Tara give me a bicycle and with this the visit to new orleans is fantastic. Really good experience.
Tara was a fantastic host! She knows New Orleans and her neighborhood well and was a great resource. She was readily available whenever I had a question but I had complete privacy the whole time I was there. The space itself was incredible. Plenty of room with beautiful art on the wall and absolutely spotless. The location was perfect too. Close to everything. A great New Orleans experience. Can't wait to come back. Thanks Tara!
I had a wonderful stay in Tara's magic kingdom. The cats, (allergic, but they were great, we looked at each other, no petting), the dogs (cute cute cute), the roosters (eh), the art (amazing, I want to know more about the sculptures), the books ( I read one, was tempted to take another but honor forbade it), the neighborhood (scruffy - but a fantastic food co-op 6 blocks south) and the price (doesn't get any better). Tara and Hailey were super efficient and friendly. Great place.
Staying at Tara's house was a great experience! She was super helpful throughout the whole process - being flexible with our arrival time, answering my questions, and helping us find things we needed throughout our stay. The space itself is wonderful, creative, and relaxing. The kitchen was great for cooking meals at home. The outside garden was also nice and the bikes were a great option for when we didn't feel like driving. The ride to the French Quarter was indeed super short and easy. As an animal lover, I especially loved having four cats around and seeing the chickens and dogs outside in the garden. Overall, a great experience!
Tara was a wonderful host. The place it's self was inspiring and all in all a wonderful experience. If you're looking for a tourist like experience this is not for you. if you want to live like a local and experience the everyday life of local, this is perfect. the healing center was a few blocks aways, and a great place to check out. the animals were precious, especially Florence. He was a fabulous companion throughout my stay. there is such a pleasant and positive energy at her place. I loved it dearly.
Tara was both accommodating & welcoming. She has a quick response time. Additionally, her space is aesthetically pleasing while not being intimidating. The courtyard is gorgeous.
