Don't pay central London prices. This traditional wood cabin is unique and offers a great location for both Heathrow and Central London. It's self-contained with it's own private entrance. Sleeps 2 in the bedroom with a further 2 on the large futon.
**** If you need cheaper accommodation for just 1 person you can also view my double sofa-bed listing ****
This log cabin is at the end of my garden. It is a separate dwelling from the main house with a private entrance via a mock garage door and side alley. It is ideal for those needing a place close to Heathrow and for those on vacation who want a self-catering place within easy reach of central London. It is suitable for tidy, self-sufficient guests. Families are welcome.
It sleeps up to 4 guests. There is one double bed and one double fouton. It gets a lot of natural light. The kitchen has an induction hob, washing machine. microwave, fridge and other kitchen items. It is perfect for a self-catering stay. The bathroom has a large shower cubicle.

**access to a wide selection of DVDs**
Don't forget to bring a power adapter from your country plug to the UK 3 pin plug.
Check-in anytime after 9am (when I am awake) but before 10pm. If you are arriving outside these hours please tell me before booking. It will also depend on the check-out of any previous guest. Please be flexible and understanding.
Check-out is flexible but if I have back-to-back bookings then I may ask for an earlier check-out depending on when the next guest is arriving and me also needing to wash linen and clean the place.
Located in West London close to Heathrow. Close (10mins walk) to the Underground for travel into central London. Safe area and walking on main, well-lit streets to and from the metro and local restaurents
There is a Marks and Spencer's supermarket at the end of the road where you can buy tasty food. There are also a McDonald's 2mins away and lots of restaurants (pizza, Indian) 5 minutes away, as well as banks and bus stops.
About your host:
I am male and single. I am of Indian origin but born in the UK. I enjoy going out, movies, travelling, reading and meeting new people.
- Heathrow Airport is 2 train stops away
- It takes about 45 minutes by train to Leicester Square
- Great location for A30 and M4
- 10 minutes walk to Hounslow West train station
NOTE: The cabin is in close proximity to the airport and the planes do fly overhead on occasion with the noise that results from that.
The guests will have access to all the amenites stated as it is all self-contained within the cabin. They will have their own keys for the cabin and main entrance. There is no restriction on coming and going as it has its own totally private entrance.
Interaction with Guests
The cabin has it's own entrance so you can come and go at any time. It is very private. I am available in the main house if you have any queries or need any help. I generally leave you alone to enjoy your trip without worrying about the host I will be available if needed.
Close by are restaurents. You must try some of the asian cusine on the doorstep. London is a must see if only for a few hrs on a layover. If you like planes then you will be in your element.
The location is perfect for travellers to central London or as a base for day trips as the public transport is accessible and it is close to the major road networks. Walking to the underground is on well-lit streets and very safe. Parking is free on-road and right outside the place. From the airport access can be by taxi, bus or underground and they are reasonable in terms of cost and duration. If needed I can help with airport pick-up.
Other Things to Note
I am mostly on hand to help with with information on travel, London sights, etc. I would be happy to help in any way I can.
If you make an enquiry or a booking between midnight and 8am I will probably be asleep so will respond when I wake up.
As it has wood floors I request that shoes are removed by the door. I don't charge a cleaning fee so I request that you look after the place and leave it as clean and tidy as you can to help me get it ready for the next guest.
There is no smoking in the cabin as it is made of wood.
There is also a manual in the cabin which I recommend you read and take note.
Clean, nice cabin with many videos available. Perfect for our overnight and in & out of Harrods visit. Definitely will visit again. Mandeep was very helpful.
Mandeep's log cabin is great - well insulated, warm, and perfect for a budget stay. Mandeep was very helpful with local knowledge and was very obliging. We had a little trouble opening the garage door which leads to the cabin but most days it was fine. Recommended for a budget stay near Heathrow and tubes into Central London on the Piccadilly Line.
Mandeep wasn't around on arrival but left good instructions on how to get into the Log Cabin. Everything was as described and we had a very pleasant nights stay.
It was a great location for Twickenham at 10-15 taxi ride.
We met Mandeep briefly on the day of our departure and he was very nice and curious about our nights stay. Overall a good stay and experience.
My stay was only one night, but Mandeep was a great host, checking in to see that I was ok, even offering some of the dinner he was preparing! I settled on a restaurant of his recommendation, which was super good. :)
The log cabin is lovely but has pros and cons. As I was there just for a layover, I have nothing but praise for it. Super cute, clean, everything you need. If you ever dreamed of having a clubhouse/treefort, you'll love it.
The things you should consider are two: First, it's in Mandeep's backyard and accessible through his garage. Entering and exiting is a multi-step process, but you'll get the hang of it. Second is the constant airplanes overhead. Very low, very loud planes, every 5 minutes from 8am to 11pm. This didn't bother me as I was there less than 24 hrs, but this would be huge over a longer period.
Overall it was a great space for a great value. If I ever have a heathrow layover again, I'll strongly consider his offering.
Thanks for the feedback. I do make a note of the location and hence the noise of the planes. I am so used to it now I forget about it. Heathrow do alternate the landing runways so some times of the day get no planes while other times it is regular. Thanks for mentioning it again ensuring other guests are prepared and take that into account. The entrance is not really a garage but a covered alleyway. The garage door is a security precaution. However, it does make the entrance private.
The log cabin was so cute! It's perfect for anyone who loves tiny houses. It was clean, had everything we needed, and was in a wonderful neighborhood. Mandeep was a very friendly host, he was great at communicating and took care of all our needs. Check in instructions were very clear and directions were too. It is the ideal place for anyone visiting London from Heathrow. It's very simple to get to the heart of the city, and we loved not having to get up very early to go to the airport!
