The Haussman apartment is a beautiful three bedroom flat a 10-minute walk from the main train station and about 15 minutes from the vieux-port Marseille. It's in a lively neighborhood, directly above a supermarket and car-rental facility. It is on the 2nd floor overlooking the square, so you have privacy from (but a nice view of) the street below. There are lots cafes, a good bakery, a beer garden, and a charcuterie shop nearby. We were only in Marseille for a weekend, but it was a good base for exploring. We were sad to leave. The flat itself is well thought out. There is space to relax, creative art, the kitchen is well stocked with plates, cups, appliances, a washing machine for clothes, and an excellent iron. It is very clean, and there are beautiful architectural details on the walls and ceilings. The layout is itself a bit unorthodox. There is a main master bedroom with a comfortable double bed, very high ceilings and a bathroom. There are two single beds in a children's room that are very comfortable but will not fit a very tall person. There is also a loft bedroom with a comfortable bed but a low ceiling. The host is very nice. He was responsive and he met us a little earlier than we first asked when we arrived ahead of schedule. He gave us helpful tips about the neighborhood, and made us feel at home. We would be excited to stay here again!

A découvrir !

Native from Marseille, this city doesn't have any secret for my wife and I. Restaurants, travel tips, trips, walks, islands, sea, diving, calanques, nightlife ... travelling, I spent these last ten years inviting friend from verywhere to discover what I consider as being one of the most surprising city in the world. I so became a true tour guide.
A good bottle of french wine, friends, sun, are all what we like to have together with our one years old daughter.
Being a window on all the Mediterranean, Marseille is a place to discover flavours and culture from Sicilia to Marrocco, going through the Comoros, Turkey and Gabon, all of that together in the Natural Park of the Calanques. Come and enjoy !
