House is set in the popular village of Newick, near Lewes in a small cul-de-sac, nice garden and off road parking. Breakfast is included and evening meal if required at extra charge. Double room has TV, and single room is available if more than two guests or 2 people requiring a room each. (See my other listings)
Lewes is a historical town, situated near Brighton and is packed with history, charm and character. It was the site of the Battle of Lewes and famous for its castle, Guy Fawkes and the home of Anne of Cleaves. Nearby is Hever Castle, home of Anne Boleyn and the N.T. gardens of Sheffield Park.
There are three local pubs which also serve food should you wish to have a meal there and a good indian restaurant.
Transport wise, there are 3 stations nearby - Lewis and Haywards Heath 15 minutes drive away and Uckfield station 10 minutes drive away.
Lovely quiet room in a peaceful cul de sac. Very clean and comfortable, the bathroom is well equipped with an excellent shower. Rita cooked me a delicious breakfast overlooking her charming garden. Wifi reception is excellent.
