Scenery was beautiful and apartment was pretty cozy. It could have been an ideal holiday except for the following: -ad says it is ideal location in winter: we did not find that to be accurate. Streets are very narrow, remote and dark (there is no light at all) to get to the apt. When lucky taxi drivers accepted to drive us there (most refused as the street where the apt is is so narrow that barely any car can drive there without getting scratched/hitting a wall; the taxi driver who first drove us there wanted to drop us 10-15 mins walk away in the middle of the night with all our luggage and we had no clue where we were... We had to insist and eventually call the owner who came to pick us up with his small car. There was no mention in the ad that you need to have a small car to reach there; No public transport on Sunday so we were stuck...we got there at midnight as our flights arrived late and had no food. There was a small place to eat only open late am otherwise 30 Mins walk up and downhill to the nearest grocery store then 30 Mins back up... - water boiler was so small that the 2 of us could not manage to have a hot shower on the same evening. We travelled the whole day and were not able to have a proper shower as hot water ran out within 10 mins. We had to boil water from the kettle to pour in the sink to wash. Not fun especially in winter; - wifi had problems at first then issue was fixed; TV did not work. Again the location is beautiful but logistic problems were significant and basic comforts were lacking. Maybe in summer it is ok and if you have a small car (you need a car to get there and dont rely on taxis -these latter which we didn't even account for yet had to use) ; We mentioned the problems to the owner's husband but there didn't seem to be a solution so we left 4 days before the end of our stay. We wouldn't stay here again due to the above. Again: location lovely, heating very good, cozy apartment but be prepared to walk a lot ( 10-15 Mins only to get to bus stop and bus runs on an hourly basis).

it is really a nice and quiet place outside the Firenze, a little bit tricky to find the location when we first drove there because the road on the hill is quite narrow and hidden but it is a good place to rest and relax. Rosaria's husband waited us and welcomed us. the house is clean and quiet ,the outside is a spacious garden with lovely cats and olive trees. We drove to a near town to park and shopping food, also took tram to Firenze. it is perfect place to stay if you drive and also good to stay for a long period of peace. i really enjoyed our 3 days stay and even my husband who is not a big fan of airbnb, also loved this trip. Thanks

The landscape around this, the Poet's Home, is just gorgeous. My husband and I are in our late 20s, and eager to be out walking, so we walked from here to florence nearly every day. At an unhurried pace, it would take us just about an hour to be at the heart of the city, by the river and the Uffizi. The walk is lovely, following old roads that wind through the countryside, past churches and old buildings and lined with stone walls, with very little traffic. The home is also very near Scandicci, with a nice selection of grocery stores about a 15 minute walk away. This walk isn't as nice — along a busy roadway with a narrow shoulder — but very manageable once you've done it one or two times, even at night. The home itself is comfy. Great bed, nice kitchen, and small but effective bathroom. The hot water tank is a bit small but holds plenty for one blazing hot shower in the morning, and another at night. The kitchen was fully equipped, so for the month that we stayed there we cooked most of our own meals. The hosts are sweet. Nicola seems like he's got a great story or two to share, but sadly we didn't get the chance to pick his brain. Finally, whether you stay here or not (and I do think you should; it's lovely), when you are in Florence, take coffee at Ditta Artigianale. They're the only 3rd wave shop in town, and you can actually work on a laptop there. In closing, we were very happy with our month here. A shorter stay would surely have warranted a place in the city, but for a longer stay this Poet's Home was poetic ;)

Rosalia and Nicola are the wonderful host family and they always try to help you so that feel so much comfortable and well secured. The poet's house is really ideal for those who love to live on the charming Tuscan hill, feel fresh breeze, enjoy breathtaking sunset far over the cypres trees. But you can still access to the central city only 10 mints. walk and another 10 mints. bus ride. the huge supermarket Esselunga is also newly opened just down and around the corner to fulfill your appetite!! I had such a wonderful experience there, thank you Rosalia and Nicola!

The Poet's home is very nicely done, I was by myself but it would also be perfect for a couple. It was super clean, nicely furnished and prettier than I expected. Everything I needed was in the house. I loved the area. It's very peaceful and relaxing and only ten minutes from the center of Florence (as long as you have a car, which i did). Rosaria is very nice and honest. She even offered to get me medicine when I got sick. I was never bothered and really felt like having my very own home on top of the hill in Tuscany in the middle of the olive garden. I highly recommend the place if you're looking for a peace and privacy yet close distance to all the touristy stuff.
