Great location! 5-10 minute walk to most attractions. The apartment was clean and modern. Wi-Fi was reliable and fast. If you're looking to do the "sound of music tour " there is a hotel right across the street where the tour bus will pick you up.
The listing for the apartment says there is parking, but there is no designated spot. One must find a spot on a side road behind the building. If there are no places there, you need to park on the street, which costs money during weekdays.
There was once a Billa grocery store (mentioned in other reviews) below the apartment. This is no longer open, but there is a different supermarket 2 blocks away.
We didn't meet with Marion & Walter, but rather a different person who was very difficult to communicate with.
I enjoyed my stay in Salzburg at Marion and Walter's apartment. I didn't get to meet Marion or Walter as I checked in with their employee, but the process was easy and Walter was very quick in responding to my messages before the trip. The apartment is in a good location, about 10 minutes walking distance from the old town and about 15 minutes from the central station. The apartment is spacious and had everything we needed. The only negative I experienced was that the shower head sprayed sideways and the shower itself drained poorly. However, I'd still recommend the apartment to someone visiting Salzburg.
Marion and Walter were great at communicating with us and did their best to be flexible with our schedule. It was a bit difficult to check in because we didn't have access to Internet to know to call their assistant 45 minutes before arrival. But once that was figured out, everything was grand. The flat was pretty spacious, clean, and was stocked really well for our 2-night stay. Old Town was only a 10-15 minute walk away, and there are quite a few restaurants nearby. It's a little loud at night so we had to close the windows, but since fans were provided, we were able to stay cool. We'd definitely recommend this flat!
I stayed at Marion & Walter's apartment in Salzburg in Sept 2014. Every single thing was as described and expected. We were met by a contact person who was very friendly and helpful with specific instructions for everything. The apartment was exactly as pictured, and was so cute and clean. Everything was new and modern and in working order. There really was a grocery store in the same building and it really was just a few minutes walk from the pedestrian area which I was very happy to see. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The weather when we got there was cold but the apartment was warm and had everything we needed. Toaster, coffee maker, dishes, dishwasher, extra blankets, everything. The beds were ridiculously comfortable. And the Murphy bed in the living room really was very easy to open and close. The one and only thing would be the noise from the street when the windows were open. I come from a city so it didn't bother me, but my mother and aunt found it a little noisy. But luckily it was cool enough at night to have to close them so it was no trouble at all. Also you could hear the neighbours (and they can probably hear you), but that is all part of apartment living. It certainly was no big deal. I would highly recommend this apartment.
The apartment it's nice, fully equipped and near the center of Salzburg. It's a good option if you want to visit the city.
이번 유럽 여행을 계획하면서 처음으로 에어비앤비를 접하게 되었는데 너무 좋은 경험이었다.
한국분중 에어비앤비를 찾고 계신다면 추천합니다.
It was great and perferct for family with one baby.
reception was kind.
room was perfect.
location was perfect.
everything was perfect for our family.
Great location in the city - short walk from both the old town and the train station, as well as above a grocery store. The apartment was very spacious, clean and newly renovated with quality appliances. It was short on some essentials ((website hidden) oil, laundry detergent, extra garbage bags and toilet paper) that are necessary for short stay apartments, but if this was sorted out we would certainly stay here again!
