ABOUT a small cozy house NOSTALJI:
This place is HOMESTAY style. Not a Guest house. Hotel, neither. I want you to experience something different in Japan. We need to have "HOMESTAY CONTRACT". If you do not respect the rules, deposit is not refundable.
The purpose should be not staying with me as a tourist but living as a part of my family even if it's for a short time. Don't miss the chance to have the same life-style as local Japanese people do! Many Japanese are not rich at all. Neither am I. So please do not expect too much. I will prepare one dinner if you stay two nights. Two dinner if you stay 4 nights.
My house is simple and small. You sleep on the 2nd floor. When I host female guests or a married couple, I won't stay here.
After you booked, we will send you a map and the details.
Location is very good, it's just 15 minute walk from Central Kyoto station so you have easy access to many touristy places as well.
City bus and subway are convenient.
1 day city bus ticket...500yen
1 day subway ticket...600yen
1 day sightseeing ticket...1200yen
2 days sightseeing ticket...2000yen
Bus stop and subway is not far from this guesthouse.

I can hardly welcome these people who ..
1. smoke too much or drink too much.
2. party animals (Find a hotel or a hostel in downtown. There are many there.)
3. use my place as a love hotel. If you need to do something, please stay at a hotel or hostel.)
4. are not well organised. (We should be very organised as we are always busy. We can not be stuck just for you all the time.)
5. always play by one's own rules.
Tomo san is a great host. He and his partner are so welcoming and make us feel really relaxed. I loved his cooking and even had a musoc jam with his other guest that night. Will definitely visit him again when we are in kyoto!
Tomo's house is amazing! We love those CDs! The house is clean and cozy even the weather is hot in Kyoto (they have air conditioner so don't worry). We really enjoyed the dinner from Tomo and chatting with other interesting people in their mini bar. Hope we can go there again.
Tomo's house is fantastic! The house is in a great neighbourhood, close to the bus lines and the station and the indications Tomo gave me were very clear. There is everything you need in the house and I was made to feel very welcome by Tomo and his girlfriend. She cooked me the best breakfast ever and it was lovely to spend time with them and the other guests in the very cool, secret bar they run! I cannot recommend it enough and I already miss the place!
Accoglienza ottima, abitazione molto bella, Tomo persona unica e la sua cena pure!

About the Host, Ponkichi
Please ask the availability first. Beacause I am too busy to update the calender. Do not send me a booking request without our conversation about the availability.
My name is TOMO. I live with my Taiwanese girlfriend. I like cooking. I'm a great guide and know many local places which are not touristic at all. I play music for fun and love magic trics. If you can play the instrument, let's jam together. I have a guitar, an Organ, a toy piano, a harmonica, an ukulele and a Sanshin(traditional instrument from Okinawa.)
