ABOUT a small cozy house NOSTALJI:
This place is HOMESTAY style. Not a Guest house. Hotel, neither. I want you to experience something different in Japan. We need to have "HOMESTAY CONTRACT". If you do not respect the rules, deposit is not refundable.
The purpose should be not staying with me as a tourist but living as a part of my family even if it's for a short time. Don't miss the chance to have the same life-style as local Japanese people do! Many Japanese are not rich at all. Neither am I. So please do not expect too much. I will prepare one dinner if you stay two nights. Two dinner if you stay 4 nights.
My house is simple and small. You sleep on the 2nd floor. I sleep on the 1st floor.
After you booked, we will send you a map and the details.
Location is very good, it's just 15 minute walk from Central Kyoto station so you have easy access to many touristy places as well.

I can hardly welcome these people who ..
1. smoke too much or drink too much.
2. party animals (Find a hotel or a hostel in downtown. There are many there.)
3. use my place as a love hotel. If you need to do something, please stay at a hotel or hostel.)
4. are not well organised. (We should be very organised as we are always busy. We can not be stuck just for you all the time.)
5. always play by one's own rules.
Location was ok, about 6-7 mins walk from Kujo station 10-15 mins from Kyoto station as described. Toilet was very smelly when we first arrived but Tomo fixed it after our feedback. Overall an alright place to stay.
E' una persona veramente gentile e la sua casa ha uno stile unico, purtroppo non siamo riusciti a mangiare da lui ma dicono cucini benissimo!
The stay at this home stay experience was lovely, a great seeing to be at an old traditional Japanese home. The host made us Bento meal which was very sweet and warm, all great experience it has enhance our stay at Japan, really recommend.
Me and my boyfriend went to Sento, traditional Japanese public bath place, which is near also very good to try out at night.
It has been nothing but great to have stayed here, thank you for this warm welcoming to us!
P.s. also location is very close and easy to everything, only a stop away from Kyoto station. Good location!
TOMO is nice. His cook is very delicious too. When we got in he is not finished the renovation of the house yet but thats not a bother. We got a new room instead of the bunk bed, a traditional japanese style, which is just like a Ryukan. So, you dont need to book an expensive Ryukan to stay in a traditional Japanese room.
We are sorry for inconvenience in shower room it was still under renovation. But we are happy that you liked the place. Yes, the room is like a Ryokan room. We want to make our guests experience a Ryokan style room in a resonable price. Next time stay longer. Hahaha.
Fantastic stay! Tomo is so welcoming! Helped us with busses and sightseeing for our 2 nights in Kyoto (not long enough!) The room was quirky, but we dig that style, plenty of character and close to the rail/bus lines. Beds were hard Japanese style but woke up feeling good. Would recommend!

Please ask the availability first. Beacause I am too busy to update the calender. Do not send me a booking request without our conversation about the availability.
My name is TOMO. I live alone as I am enjoying freedom in the rest of my life. I like cooking. I'm a great guide and know many local places which are not touristic at all. I play music for fun and love magic trics. If you can play the instrument, let's jam together. I have a guitar, an Organ, a toy piano, a harmonica, an ukulele and a Sanshin(traditional instrument from Okinawa.)
