Spacious 1 BR in prime San Francisco location. Located on the edge of the park providing a great balance of the bustling Haight life (bars, restaurants, shopping) and the expansive natural beauty of Golden Gate and it's many museums contained within.
Well maintained apartment overlooking the panhandle park in a quiet 4 unit Victorian building. Perfect location close to Haight Ashbury restaurants and shops and Golden Gate Park's natural beauty and museums. Essentially this is an ideal, safe, & central location for an out of town visitor!
Our home is great for a couple, but the large living room also has a day bed which can be converted into a queen in order to sleep an additional two. There is an office and wifi for those that are needing to get some work done.
The apartment comes equipped with a lush Temperpedic bed with fresh linens, towels, dishware, cookware, utensils, kitchen appliances, hair dryer, and iron. Because we live in this space, you can probably find absolutely anything you need, however that also means you will not find cabinets, drawers, closets and the fridge empty. While this may not be ideal for everyone as a rental, it will provide you with the true experience of living in a cozy SF apartment! The place will of course be professionally cleaned prior to your arrival.
We have cable, a large movie selection, and wide variety of games for those looking to play. I will leave maps and recommendations for local spots I highly recommend. And should you want to stay close to home, there is also a beautiful private garden in the back which is great to relax in. It also may be possible to arrange parking for a small fee though street parking is available and ample (no residential tag needed).
Interaction with Guests
While I'd love to show you around San Francisco personally, the reason our apartment is available to you is because we are out of town. Therefore, don't expect much interaction beyond a key transfer. However, I'll prepare you with local suggestions prior to your stay and am always available by phone should you have any questions or need assistance. I am sure by staying in our curated apartment in the lively Haight neighborhood and checking out some of our local recommendations, you'll leave SF with a good taste of the city.
If there's any area of San Francisco that evokes images of the long-gone '60s hippie culture, Haight Ashbury is it. But save for a few hippie relics, the Haight today is a whole new scene. Exclusive boutiques, high-end vintage-clothing shops, Internet cafés, lively bars and hip restaurants have all settled in, making the Haight one of San Francisco's commercial centers. It also is bordered by Golden Gate park with a beautiful, sprawling landscape and cultural attractions such as the California Academy of Sciences and the DeYoung museum.
There is easy access to public transportation (Muni N line nearby) should you want to go downtown or to the ocean. There's also buses and taxis that are easy to catch on Haight st. at any time of day.
Other Things to Note
Please message me if you have any additional questions or want to inquire about availability.
No parties, and please try to leave the place in the same order as it was when you arrived. If you break something accidentally, please let me know. If it's anything big it can be covered by insurance. If it's small, at least I know to replace the item! Thanks!
Kate was wonderful to interact with online, and so quick to reply to messages! She provided all the info I needed and made herself available for questions via phone or email at all times. The apartment was just as advertised--adorable, cozy and full of houseplants and sunshine!
The neighborhood was also perfect for our needs, right on the edge of Golden Gate park and 2 small blocks from the great vintage shopping on Haight.
I also really appreciated that Kate took a chance on me as a new Airbnb user. I did my best to earn and keep her trust, as I'd love to stay here again sometime! This apartment (and it's owners) are top notch!
the apartment was clean, nicely decorated, and homey, with plenty of space for my brother and me to stretch out. the sofa/bed was very comfortable, and a good option for those needing more than one bed.
i esp appreciated the kitchen where we stored left-overs and breakfast stuff for the next day's meals.
the apt. is ideally located for those wanting to explore the haight-ashbury neighborhood and the golden gate park.
and, yes, street parking is easy to find!
Lovely apartment in great neighborhood. Our host made us feel elcome and was easy to communicate with. She left a ton of information for us and was very responsive when we had questions. The apt was a little tight for the 4 of us but great for 2 or 3. With a great kitchen and lots of amenities. Also, as the host said in her description, this is their apt with all of their stuff so there is not much room for suitcases, clothing, unpacking. Very wonderful time for us in San Fran.
From the moment we booked this apartment, Kate was the perfect host, helping us make the most of our stay in the city and never complained about the endless emails I sent her with questions regarding not just the apt but local businesses as well. She answered every email promptly and in detail. The apt was as described and special touches she left made us feel welcome and at home from the minute we walked in. We would definitely stay here again!
Awesome apartment in an awesome neck of the woods. Had such a great time walking to get coffee on Haight, exploring Golden Gate park, and taking in a Giants game.
Apartment was exactly as described and Kate was so helpful and accommodating. All of her recommendations for the neighborhood were spot on. We had a wonderful experience and can't wait to return!
Excellent communication during booking and prior to arrival with lots of helpful information about the area. A very comfortable, spacious and well equipped apartment. Plenty of space for the extra bed in the lounge. Although not a huge issue, it would have been nice to have somewhere to hang clothes. An excellent location next to Golden Gate Park and all its treasures and very close to all the shops and eating places in the bohemian mix of Haight Street. The Bistro Central Parc in Central Avenue was a great find within walking distance.
I am a young tech professional living in the city with my husband Brian. We like to travel, occasionally we rent our place out when we do. Lucky you!
