The second bedroom in my apartment is great for couples or a single person traveling to New York or working short term in the Navy Yards or Sterling Studios. My neighborhood is home to the Brooklyn Flee and Farmers Market and some great coffee houses.
This is a bright 1 BD apartment in a elevator building with central air +++PLUS, great kitchen/living room area with big screen smart TV with fios/WiFi, balcony, full size bathroom, washer dryer IN THE UNIT, roof top access, A Garden Terrace on the Second Floor, video/buzzer intercom, 5 blocks from the subway and located 3 blocks from beautiful Fort Greene Park. CITIBIKES right outside my door, which is a great way to get around and see brooklyn and the city.
The Private room has lots of light, a nice size dresser, mirror, nightstand, access to closet and Full size bed. I will provide clean sheets and towels. There will be full access to the kitchen and washer and dryer. Though I am near the Highway the sound is pretty constant and reminds me of the ocean or white noise. I always provide ear plugs and eye mask incase you are a light sleeper.
Fort Greene is a wonderful neighborhood not far from some of the greatest attractions in Brooklyn. BAM, Pratt, Barclay center, Brooklyn Flee, Dumbo, Fort Greene Park are within a 20 min. walking distance. It has a huge variety of top notch restaurants and is a very safe and diverse neighborhood. 24 Grocery store is a block away. There is the Building 92 museum which has the history of the Navy Yards and amazing brownstone architecture and mansions from the turn of century over on Clinton St. Fort Greene is a wonderful neighborhood to walk around and enjoy.
You will have access to the full apartment, kitchen, bathroom, balcony, garden terrace, TV and wifi.
Interaction with Guests
My interaction varies since I am freelance hairstylist. It will depend on my week how much I will be home or how much I will be out working. My boyfriend also lives with me and will help out with the hosting duties when I am not around. He speaks fluent Spanish and can help translate for my foreign guest.

Monet and her Boyfriend Glenn were extremely responsive, and her place was ideal for me and my girlfriend visit to Bike the Brooklyn Bridge. We truly enjoyed staying there, and would highly recommend it to anyone that wants to stay in Brooklyn, or be close enough to bike the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhatten. They also have access to an outside Deck which is fabulous, although we did not get a chance to use it due to time constraints. Also the FREE Parking on the Street was fabulous!! Although we brought our own Bikes, Money left a Citipass card that we could have used, and I highly recommend getting around New York on a Bike...Awesome Experience!!
Monet was very quick to respond to my request. Her apartment was very clean and even though she was unable to be at the apartment when I arrived, she was awesome about coordinating with Luis and me to make sure I found the apartment and got in okay. She left a cute welcoming basket and had a guest book to sign. Her apartment was very clean and while I did not see Monet, Luis was very nice and helpful! Would definitely stay here again.
Monet was very welcoming and made us feel at home right away. The room is super cute as is the whole place, I love her decorating style! She even left us earplugs, eye masks and bathroom essentials to use. The free parking right outside saved us a ton of money and time. The only downside is the nearest subway is a mile away, however there may be a bus that is closer, I didn't look into that. Very nice!
Monet was very welcoming and she was super nice. Our stay was only for one night tho. But everything was great. Walking distance to Brooklyn brigde. She also offered us breakfast, super nice! She had lots of good stuff is the room for us.
Very happy with my stay at her place.
I had a very nice stay in Brooklyn. It was a short trip, but the apartment is located in my favorite neighborhood in Brooklyn. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Unfortunately I didn't get to meet Monet, but her boyfriend was nice and showed me everything I need. There was a cute little welcome basket with towels, mints, etc. when I arrived. The room itself was very comfortable and clean. I even brought my dog, and he was comfortable too. I would stay again for a weekend trip.
Everything was perfect! After a 30 over hours flight, we were happy about the nice and comfy room. Keys, town maps, wifi password was all well prepared by Monet. Location is easily accessible by bus and MTA. Right across the street, you can find some eateries, grocery shops, convenient stores, etc. I would stay here next time I am visiting New York.
No problems with the room. The highway noise didn't bother me. Very convenient to a citibike station.
Monet was really helpful and accommodating.

I am a freelance hairstylist based in New York. I am originally from CA and have lived in the area of Fort Greene for the past 5 years. I love this diverse quaint neighborhood. Feel free to ask questions on places to go or things to do. I love exploring the city and can give lots of tips. My boyfriend recently moved in and will also be sharing the apartment with us, but most of your interaction will be with me as I manage the airbnb guest.
