The Space

I have a beautiful home in Boulder Creek, CA, and welcome you to come share it. It's located right on the river bank with stunning views of the river from my deck. I have one cat. My house is a 3BR, 2.5 bath. There are two bedrooms available to rent, with 1.5 bathrooms to share. The house has wireless internet, and you will have access to the kitchen, laundry room, living room, and outdoor spaces.

We are located in a quiet lane with giant redwood trees all around but plenty of sunshine. Our home is close to downtown Boulder Creek (1.8 miles), Big Basin (3 miles), Felton/Roaring Camp (6 miles), Santa Cruz beach and boardwalk (15 miles), and Saratoga/ San Jose (18 miles).

We are located near (0.25 mi) a bus-lane that goes to Felton, Scotts Valley, and Santa Cruz.

All in all, our home is a lovely place to stay. There are nearby campsites, hiking trails, amusement parks, beaches, local restaurants, and much more!

  • Tsege was most welcoming, the stay was very much plunging into her family life. We enjoyed the tranquility of the woods, Tseges welcoming and accomodating nature and her tips where to go hiking! (Thanks again, great trail!) The freshly roasted coffee bean coffee only added to the overall relaxing stay. As a plus, she accepted us at very short notice, everything was great! Be prepared to look a bit for the place, we let us fool by our GPS: there is a Manzanita Drive and Manzanita Road, be sure to take the correct one! (We didn't, it's another 3 mi to go) However, once you find it, it's just beautiful!

  • The owner's family was very nice and Tsegereda cooked very well; they, including their cat Penny, were always kind to me. I really hope to see them again in the near feature. Thanks to you guys!!

  • I stayed with Tsegereda and her family for 6 weeks and it felt just like home. A wonderful woman with such a caring heart and spirit. You will feel the warmth the minute you walk into the door. Beautiful panoramic views wherever you look, hammocks to relax in and some of the best food I have ever tasted. Oh and the coffee is amazing! Only 4 minutes to downtown Boulder Creek and 10-15 minutes to Big Basin with a selection of other hiking trails close by as well. I left feeling like I gained another family and I will be sure to stay here next time I am in Boulder Creek. Luv you and miss you Tsege!!

  • When I read all of the glowing reviews of Tsege, I thought they must be exaggerated. In this internet age, things are so often hyped beyond their merit, and we've all become inured to the inevitable disappointment that follows. Wow, was I pleasantly surprised! My stay with Tsege was really as wonderful as the reviews would lead you to anticipate; she really is fantastically warm and friendly; and her family is a treasure. Stay here if you get the chance.

  • Tsege and her family are wonderful hosts! I really enjoyed talking with Tsege about Eritrea; it's always fun to learn about other cultures! She's also a great cook. I felt very welcome. The setting was beautiful (GPS had a hard time finding it, but it was lovely once I got there!). It's also very quiet, wonderful for a peaceful night's rest. Many thanks, Tsege! I would definitely come again.

  • We enjoyed staying with Tsege tremendously. She is the consummate host and makes everyone feel comfortable, relaxed and welcome. And as an added bonus, Tsege is a great chef. Have you ever met anyone who roasts coffee beans just before grinding and brewing each pot of coffee? Awesome!

  • Very clean house (spotless actually), very hospitable family! The only thing is Tsege mentioned a queen size bed where it was really a full bed (we couldnt sleep all the 3 of us - with my under 2 yrs old in it-. Other than that it was really nice. We had to leave very early so not too much interaction but the overall feeling of tranquility was exactly what we needed to have a good night of rest.
    Thank you Tsegereda!

  • We were with Tsege during one month and it was an outstanding experience! She was always kind and polite and we were living as a family. The house is very beautiful, our room was very clean and cozy, every night we heard a trembling creek, which is flowing near the house. Everything is as in the pictures and even better. Tsege made a great coffee for us in the mornings and cooked traditional eritreian food (indzhera, ga'at, shiro and many other tasty things). We also hiked and went shopping together. She has a very big and warm heart and we called her 'mama Tsege'-)
