Check in: I work until 6pm so typically afterwards
Check out: weekends by 10am, weekdays by noon.
The room is furnished with a queen size bed/bedding/towel, dresser and fan and has a closet. We ask that you provide your own toiletries. Because we have only one bathroom we prefer to host only one person at a time but if it's a short time (3 nights or less) it may be possible for 2 people to stay with extra $20 fee/night.
Feel free to use the kitchen and accoutrement but please provide your own food stuffs. We've done a fair amount of outdoor adventuring and can give you some tips if you wish.
Any other questions just ask!
The key to the front door of the building costs $100 to replace. So just to insure we get it back after your stay we have a $100 security deposit but it won't be charged unless you lose the key so be careful when you're adventuring : )

The Bus #4 stop across the street and routes 14 & 18 are a few blocks away. Walking distance to downtown/Chinatown, I guess it just depends on how much you like to walk : ) Street parking, we've been told by other guests, has been within about 5 minute walk from our place.

Melissa was very helpful and clearly communicated everything I needed to know. Her place and surrounding area is as described. I felt safe walking around the neighborhood and I would definitely recommend staying with her. They are cool people. :) I let them know what I was planning to do and they had wonderful suggestions.
Since I was coming from a neighbor island, and only needed a place to sleep for 2 nights, I was coming late and leaving early and didn't interact very much with Melissa and her friend. The room is nice and clean. They were not here when I arrived but they arranged well the check-in. The only problem was the street parking that was hard to find, and had to walk at night pretty far away.
Melissa and Cindy were great hosts. I had a great time there, my room was clean and comfortable.
The host canceled this reservation 29 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Melissa & Cyndi were awesome hosts and their doggie is really cute & well behaved. They gave me a lot of info on things to do & places to visit. They're very cool, down to earth people who made me really feel welcomed. The room is simple & gorgeous. I loved the windows on each side of the bed so much, I kept them open the whole time. The location is very convenient, normally a 10-15 minute drive into downtown. They have visitor parking in the front that is helpful for unloading or if you just need to run up for something. It's only for a few hours & does not allow vehicles overnight. Other than that, I usually found parking on Spencer St. within a few rides on the street(but i did have a compact rental). They also have the perfect lanai for the fireworks every friday evening. I missed it but can totally tell that is VIP seating. Fun place, awesome location!
About the Host, Melissa
Cyndi and I are both in our 30's and have lived in Oahu for about 3 1/2 years now; I'm an occupational therapist and she's an art student. We moved here from LA with our daughter dog, Madeline Beans Baylor, to have the opportunity for year round outdoor adventures. We like to surf, hike, snorkel, scuba, bike... anything outdoors. We also do a little island hopping & camping when we can. Maddi comes with us almost everywhere & is a very well behaved but energetic pup. We're available to answer questions you have about cool things to do while you're here but generally let our guests have their privacy and prefer independent people since we have pretty busy schedules.
We hope you enjoy your time in Oahu and feel comfortable in our (new to us) Punchbowl condo!
