The 1924 bungalow-style house is super convenient to Lake Washington and Mt. Baker Beach, as well as the light rail station to downtown (15 minutes) and the airport (22 minutes). Plus, the neighborhood is great for walking, eating and shopping.
The house has wi-fi and ample free street parking. The room has wood flooring, a large closet, a double bed and desk, and a view of a green and serene garden backyard, which you are welcome to use. The bathroom is shared among house residents, which include mom, occasional young adult daughter, international student and 2 cats (cats have separate facilities).
This cozy house has bright rooms, oriental carpets, and warm colors and furnishings combined with welcoming atmosphere in a great neighborhood. If you have time, be sure to walk to the lake and along the park that will take you 3 miles to Seward park, the home of a 120-acre old growth forest!
Just a note: the price listed is my normal spring and summer rate. If you are trying to book for March, I will give you a special rate of $40.
* Third guest - $15 / night.
Guests can use any of the shared living space and backyard. Feel free to use the fridge to store your food and the kitchen to cook, as long as you clean up after yourself.
Guests can expect welcoming host, interesting conversation, and advice for getting around Seattle. Actually, chatting with guests is my favorite part about hosting. But if you want privacy, that's fine, too.
Mt. Baker is an old neighborhood with 100-year old houses and great architecture. You can easily walk to a variety of restaurants, parks, and Lake Washington.
Light rail is a walk away. Four bus lines within walking distance can take you downtown, across town, and to the University District. There is information in the room about various sights and neighborhoods to check out, as well as bus schedules.

Easy stay. Kristin made everything simple. Awesome!
My friend and I stayed with Kristin for only one night, but it was very convenient and close to everything we needed. Kristin is very hospitable and kind. The bed is super comfy too!
I loved staying with Kristin. The fact that she picked me up from the light rail station since I got in much later than expected was so kind. I slept comfortably and enjoyed a very nice shower. I also loved walking down to Cafe Il Posto in the neighborhood. I recommend Mt. Baker for any one who wants to see what Seattle is really like, as opposed to the glitz of Capitol Hill. Kristin was a perfectly respectful and helpful host.
Kristin was very kind and clean. She gave us many helps to make our travel more comfortable. Thanks !! Her two cats were charming.
Kristin was super helpful in connecting with us before our arrival to make sure we'd be able to get in to the house (even if she wasn't home when we arrived as our schedule was so wacky arrival day). She communicated clearly and was very helpful. We weren't at the house much except to shower and sleep, but she was very flexible with us/situation with a friend needing a quick shower before getting on an airplane which was very kind of her to be so accommodating. The room was perfect- big enough for two people and the bed was very comfortable. The house is on a quiet street convenient to the rail and not far from downtown/the airport. Perfect, cute place to stay with a great & knowledgeable hostess!
My girlfriend and I stayed with Kristin for one quick night on our trip down to Seattle. It was a brief but very pleasant experience; Kristin was friendly and welcoming and the house was really nice. The whole place was super clean and tidy and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. My girlfriend and I agreed it was one of the best sleeps we'd had in quite a while. I would definitely stay again.
We had great stay at Kristins' place though it was just one night. Kristin was very friendly and gave us some amazing tips for our road trip. She is just the perfect host you can hope for at any air bnb's you want to stay. Thank you, Kristin
Kristin was very quick in responding to our last minute stay and quick to communicate with us. Everything was in order at check in and check out was super easy. The room was cozy and warm, with a very comfortable mattress!
Kristin was a great host! Her place is very close to transit and totally convenient even if you planned on spending most of your time downtown. We were very comfortable and really enjoyed our experience there! Thank you Kristin!
