Dollar point is a wonderful neighborhood! Tahoe city is only 3 miles away with many good restaurants. Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Northstar, Homewood, and Diamond Peak ski areas are all less than 30 minutes away. In the summer, Tahoe is an excellent area for hiking, biking, rafting, boating, sailing, kayaking, fishing, golfing, paddle boarding and playing tennis. In the winter there is great skiing, cross country skiing and ice skating.
There will be a $100 charge for the Dollar Point card if it is lost. Please message me regarding pets. There will be a $100 charge for garage door opener if it is lost.
Joan and Bruce's spot right on Lake Tahoe is spectacular! Location was perfect. Accommodations were perfect. Freshly baked cookies and cold beer on arrival were perfect! I would have definitely stayed longer but I had other professional obligations I had to complete. I will definitely be staying there any time I come back to Tahoe (assuming I can be lucky enough to get it when it is open...)! Thank you so much Joan and Bruce for your hospitality and trust!! You are amazing AirBnB hosts!
We LOVED staying here. The place was perfect for us. Very clean and comfortable. The location in Dollar Point is fantastic. Very close to Tahoe City and the Safeway.
Joan and her husband Bruce are fantastic. They were very sweet to make a small bed up for our three year old and made AWESOME homemade cookies. We hope to stay here again.
Joan was the perfect host. Quick to answer questions and a wealth of information regarding our interests in the area. The apartment was very cozy, bright sun, awesome views, and fully stocked for the launch of each day of paradise. Thank you Joan!
Tolle Lage am See. Nette Leute. Ansprechendes Apartment. Man kann tolle Sachen in der Umgebung unternehmen.
Joan and Bruce were wonderful hosts. The coffee was a nice touch. I'm afraid we used it all. The location was perfect to explore the North Shore to Shakespear on the Beach at Sand Harbor, The Truckee River to the Wine Festival at Squaw Valley and the West Shore from Sunday concert at Commons Beach in Tahoe City to the castle at Emerald Bay. We can't wait to go back.
This cozy studio is an excellent choice for accessing Lake Tahoe and its environs. It is located on the northwest shore of Lake Tahoe with convenient access to Tahoe City, Squaw City, etc. There are lots of wood- and lake-based outdoors activities in this area. It's also a short car ride to groceries.
The apartment is separated from the hosts' house, and so private, but right on their lake-front property. The hosts are very friendly and gave us a great tip to visit Squaw Valley for Blues' Tuesday.
If you're looking to stay and explore a bit off the beaten path of Lake Tahoe, this studio is the perfect base of operations.

About the Host, Joan
I live in Willow Glen in San Jose, CA. I love to walk to our little downtown with my Bernese Mountain dog. I also live part time in Tahoe City and have owned our home there for 30 years.
I love to cook and eat interesting food. Desserts and baking are my specialties and I enjoy reading and trying new recipes. I also enjoy many different types of restaurants.
Besides walking and playing with my dog, I enjoy playing tennis, laughing with friends, family, movies, reading and traveling.
