Passing through or on a short contract in Cranberry with Westinghouse, or Shell in Center, stay on my quiet farm. See horses out your window. Plenty of parking, very near all the amenities (10 min to cranberry, 20 min to Center 25min to Pittsburgh) Queen bed, high speed wireless, 200 channels cable TV and pull out couch.
I spent time with you in your quiet house. I enjoy the spacious bedroom and the availability of any hygiene equipment at any time. I did enjoy your openness and your fluency in French.
The house is well located in a calm environment.
See you next time
My stay at Kirl's place was nice. Kirl and his wife were friendly and helpful. It's an older house in the country side, quiet and little far from the city's busyness. The room is specious and has a small attached bath with the basics, has a feel of an older house, cleanliness could have been improved. I had access to the full kitchen. Kirl made sure I had my privacy, helped me with directions, local info, and we had good conversations. He seemed to be a very nice guy. Overall, it was a good stay. Nice drive after work through the winding roads, through the mountains - I enjoyed the stay!
Karl is the best! Our first morning with him, we woke up to a flat tire on our van and he helped us change it. Also, he drew us a map to help us avoid traffic to where we needed to go for our work site every day. The house is beautiful and my employee and I felt very comfortable and welcome there. Thanks for making my first experience with airbnb a great one! Couldn't be happier!
House was located in what I thought was a wonderful area north of the city of Pittsburgh proper. Rolling hills and nice neighborhood. Eveyone that I encountered was friendly.
Karl was helpful and informative about what to see and how to get around. Very gracious. I appreciated his willingness to take time to give me directions and offer suggestions. It should also be noted that he was very understanding and flexible about my arrival time also as I only said "before 9 PM", and I barely made that. He is a pretty laid back sort of host.
I was disappointed in the room, mainly the bath as is was not clean. The whole bath needed a good scrubbing and the room, while bright and cheery, could use a fresh coat of paint also. Just a little dingy.
It was very affordable at $35/night, but my foremost criterion is that the place feel and look clean. The TV was nice, but as for me personally, I'd rather have a spotless fresh room without a TV. The microwave in the kitchen was a little scary too... that I used to warm my coffee.
Overall, I would recommend this place for its ambience and friendliness, but unless he gives the place a good once over to spiff it up, just be for-warned that it is a little on the rough side if you want "clean".
Jon was a great guest. He was the first person to stay after a long term tenant had just moved out that DAY but even the long term tenant was pretty clean. I think someone had indeed just spilled soup in the microwave but it's all good now :)
Just like on amazon, make sure you read all reviews :)
I enjoyed hearing Jon's stories of travel as he was packing his cooler getting settled in. Airbnb has been a great way to meet new and interesting eclectic people. I've been solidly booked that room every single day for years. Usually with long term people but if someone moves suddenly or with little notice, airbnb has made that room available for short term folks like Jon.
Very enjoyable experience...I spent 22 days there...karl was very nice & hospitably...I would definitely highly recommend this place
