Big apartment on a historical building, design by one of the most famous Brazilian architects, João Artacho. At the top of the building you will have a unique marvelous view of the town, that you can enjoy by the pool.
Privileged location: you can walk to many of the most important touristic points, restaurants, pubs and clubs of São Paulo. This is the place to be if you want to see a lot of the city in a short period of time. We are near by two malls, theaters, parks, public library. On the weekends people go to a park nearby to sell homemade food, clothes and accessories and play music.
You can have all the public transportation you want. We are two blocks away from the subway (yellow and red lines), buses that go all around the city pass nearby and there is a cab point just outside the building.
If you need to get to USP University, this is the right place for you! After a 15 minutes metro ride you will be at a walking distance.
I share this three bedrooms apartment with one more person and we know the town very well. I write a blog about things to do on São Paulo and will be glad to help you out on whatever you need.
Because this is a building from the 50´s, the apartment is big and we have a lot of space. There are huge windows with a great view to other historical buildings and to the small park just in front of us. We just hanged a net in front of the window to better enjoy it. :)
At the weekends there are two restaurants on the park in front of the building that play live Samba music. Locals go there to eat, dance and have fun.
I am sure you will like it.
Smoke: only at the living room window.
Dishes: you can cook, but you must never leave dirt dishes at the sink/ oven.
If you break anything, you must pay for it.
You cannot bring friends over.
All yours belongs must stay in your bedroom.
No loud noise after 10pm on work nights.
Please bring a copy of your passport.
Ana is a beautiful person - inside and out! She was a kind and caring hostess and helped me organise myself and feel more confident to move around Sao Paulo. Ana made me very welcome in the flat and I instantly felt at home.
Ana came with me to the subway to help me buy a travel card and use the trains - this was a great help because my Brazilian Portuguese is practically non-existent! Ana also helped me to purchase a local SIM card for my phone and sort out a problem I had with a booking for a forthcoming plane trip - she was always willing to help if needed. Because I was travelling alone, this really made all the difference to my trip.
The apartment is downtown Sao Paulo, so it's right in the Centre of this busy City. The location of the apartment is good for moving around as it is close to a subway station but you an also walk, get buses or hire taxis from directly outside the apartment entrance. There is also an airport transfer service nearby, close to the Republica subway station.
Ana knows the City really well and is very sociable, so she can give you ideas of where to go and it's likely she'll take you out and introduce you to her friends too! We had an awesome night watching a local band while I was there!
If you need to be in the Centre of Sao Paulo, this is a great spot!
Let me start by saying that Ana is a very special person. Over the course of the week that I spent in her well located apartment, I had the opportunity to get to know the warm, inclusive and good-natured woman that she is. That she is a travel/city blogger in Sao Paulo is an extra benefit for those new to town - She is a wealth of information on the city.
