The apartment was dirty, my room was full of spider webs and very dusty. The Bathroom tub was full of molds not very healthy. When I told her about it she said she had just washed the bathroom with vim.
I am very sorry but It is not important for me that it looks stylish but for me it is very important that it is clean.
I did not stay there for the full time as I found myself another place to stay.
Fantastic place and eat location! Can't beat it.
Gail was welcoming and very informative about Montreal.
Gail was super friendly...
But she was 1 hour late ,so I had to stay outside for 1 hour waiting and was really cold, so I had to go to pizza place next door, even after I spoke to her 2 days before confirming exactly what time I was gonna be there. The bed I was supposed sleep on wasn't even changed yet , the place is extremely dirty and smells bad , So I end up sleeping in another hotel , which as expensive , but clean
I guess the cheap always end up being more expensive
But I learn my lesson
No more cheap places...
Stayed at Gail's downtown house for 10 days on my arrival in Montreal. Good place, comfortable room, big terrace behind, pleasant in Summer. Well-equipped kitchen. New guests coming all the time. Therefore, perhaps not very intimate; but if you need privacy you can stay in your room. Gail comes in a few times a week and is always very helpful. I can recommend this place.
Nice location, room was nice. There was plenty of space in the apartment. The kitchen was rather large and there were 2 fridges to put anything you may have bought. They had basics like oil, salt, pepper etc and pans and utensils to use if you wanted to cook.
Meme si l'appartement n'était pas un exemple de propreté (salle de bain en particulier), notre séjour s'est bien passé. Lit confortable, rangements, table à disposition. Colocataires tres sympathiques avec barbecue sur une belle terrasse
This apartment was perfect for my stay in Montréal! Gail was very nice, and when I checked in late Thursday evening, the room was waiting for me clean with towels provided. It was quiet but not too far from fun places to eat and hang out. I will definitely be staying here on my future trips to Montréal!
Gail was very nice and the apartment was very clean as was the room. Bed was comfortable and the shower was perfect. Had a bit of a hiccup on my arrival but Gail was very apologetic and sweet.
I had a very pleasant stay and miss Montreal.
In the beginning our stay didn't go to well. We were supposed to be able to check-in at 11am and we were there about 1030 when we called her and she said she would be there in about 5 minutes. She ended up getting us mixed up with another booking in a different location so we had to wait a little while. When we called again she said she had a doctors appointment at 11am... Which didn't make sense to me because we were supposed to be checked in at that time. So we didn't end up getting in till about 130pm and after taking the red eye that morning it was a bit ridiculous. Shortly after she came and then we waited till about 2pm for the room to be cleaned. Once we were in and had a nap we talked with her a bit and she was a very lovely lady and very nice, just a bit disorganized. The house itself was a bit dirty in the living area but the bedroom and bathroom were pretty clean and she also had a fan which was a very welcome sight. Other than the not necessary long wait in the beginning, it was a nice place to stay and she is a very nice person.
Gail is a very friendly, accommodating, attentive hostess. The house itself is a charming prewar building (with some of its original interior architectural details intact). It's located incredibly close to amenities - grocery, restaurants, pet supplies, etc. and it's at the intersection of several interesting neighborhoods. The rooms there are quite comfortable, and other lodgers are tranquil and amiable. All told, Gail's place is a fantastic spot. I truly recommend it.
