About This Listing
This lovely, beautiful, very romantic apartment is part of a magnificent "Villa" located in a narrow lane crossing the well known Via della Lungara, just where this meets the "Green Island" of the Botanical Garden of Rome. This park located in the middle of Trastevere was originally established in 1883 when the Corsini family donated their garden to the Italian Government. It hosts over 3500 species of plants.
The maisonette is completely indipendent and consists in one comfortable and bright open space with a dining table, a fully equipped kitchenette, a sleeping area with a comfortable queen size bed and a large bathroom with shower/tub.
The enchanting, exclusive, quiet terrace enrich this accomodation with a touch of unique charme and uncomparable grace.
Surrounded by the trees and the soft songs coming from the garden, you will hardly realize to stay in the very middle of the "Eternal City". To stay in this cosy apartment means to experience a country life in the heart of the History and Culture. In fact all the most attractive, interest sites are at walking distance and you won't need to take public transportation or car to reach all that worths a visit in Rome
Our stay here was great! The apartment was even more charming than in the photos. We really enjoyed the terrace too which was nice and private (watch out for the mosquito's though!). The apartment is at the end of a very nice road in Janiculum, just a street away from the hustle and bustle of Trastevere. The location was excellent as it was close enough to the action but still nice and quiet.
Emiliano was very helpful, and gave us all the information we needed for getting to and from the apartment. We had a very relaxing stay and would definitely stay here again next time in Rome.
The apartment was very well equipped for home cooking, and the bed has to be the most comfortable one I've stayed in! the bathroom was also very nice and spacious.
The firing of the midday cannon from the hill in Janiculum was a nice surprise too! Just in case one oversleeps... :)
All in all, thanks for a wonderful stay!
Esperienza ottima.
This was our second time in Rome and what an amazing experience we had. We enjoyed a truly wonderful week in Trastevere. The location is excellent in a nice quiet street in the less touristy area of Trastevere. It makes for a good retreat after a long day of exploring Romes many attractions. The apartment was very central in Trastevere and had a wonderful terrace, which was really quiet. When sitting on the terrace we could not hear the cars, only the song coming from the birds at the nextdoor neighbor…a beautiful Botanical garden.
Emiliano is a wonderful host and he made sure to check on us and answered our questions. I highly recommend this small charming apartment and neighborhood.
We had a fantastic stay at Emiliano's place ! The location is perfect for the Roman first-timers that we were. You can visit the main city places by walking from home and if you need a cab to go to and from the airport or Termini train station, the Piazza Trilussa is just round the corner. The neighbour and governant Elena was adorable and totally available in case of need.
The appartment was perfectly clean and with all commodities. You have plenty of options to buy your own food or to go and eat outside in the area. The terrace is a marvellous place to rest and listen to birds. You just feel like being in the heart of the Botanical garden… We highly recommend it !
As described, a charming, secluded apartment in a lively part of town.
The terrace is perfect for unwinding after a day's adventure in the city, and the bed is dangerously comfortable.
Our host was incredibly attentive, responding to our every need, including booking taxis to and from the airport.
First of all: five stars for Emiliano! I have rented in multiple European cities over many years, and I have never worked with a better host: communicative, gracious, responsive, etc. He arranged for transportation to/from the airport (so helpful) and the next time I'm in Rome (ideally soon), I will rent from him again.
Now: the apartment. Thoroughly charming, lovely terrace with good light, plenty of drawers/closet space, just like in the photos. Shopped in the local markets and made amazing meals in the utilitarian kitchen. Very quiet block near very lively area with fantastic restaurants. Yes, it's a studio, but it made a big difference, after a long day of walking, to come home to a nice-sized bathroom with a deep tub and endless hot water.
We didn't use the television but we did use the wireless for music (we brought a sound dock) and it worked fine.
What downtown NYC is to midtown, what the Marais is to the 7th, this neighborhood is to the usual tourist areas of Rome. We walked almost everywhere, and when we needed a taxi, there was a good stand a few blocks away near the Ponte Sisto.
