This lovely, beautiful, very romantic apartment is part of a magnificent "Villa" located in a narrow lane crossing the well known Via della Lungara, just where this meets the "Green Island" of the Botanical Garden of Rome. This park located in the middle of Trastevere was originally established in 1883 when the Corsini family donated their garden to the Italian Government. It hosts over 3500 species of plants.
The maisonette is completely indipendent and consists in one comfortable and bright open space with a dining table, a fully equipped kitchenette, a sleeping area with a comfortable queen size bed and a large bathroom with shower/tub.
The enchanting, exclusive, quiet terrace enrich this accomodation with a touch of unique charme and uncomparable grace.
Surrounded by the trees and the soft songs coming from the garden, you will hardly realize to stay in the very middle of the "Eternal City". To stay in this cosy apartment means to experience a country life in the heart of the History and Culture. In fact all the most attractive, interest sites are at walking distance and you won't need to take public transportation or car to reach all that worths a visit in Rome
As described, a charming, secluded apartment (email hidden)ly part of town.
The terrace is perfect for unwinding after a day's adventure in the city, and the bed is dangerously comfortable.
Our host was incredibly attentive, responding to our every need, including booking taxis to and from the airport.
First of all: five stars for Emiliano! I have rented in multiple European cities over many years, and I have never worked with a better host: communicative, gracious, responsive, etc. He arranged for transportation to/from the airport (so helpful) and the next time I'm in Rome (ideally soon), I will rent from him again.
Now: the apartment. Thoroughly charming, lovely terrace with good light, plenty of drawers/closet space, just like in the photos. Shopped in the local markets and made amazing meals in the utilitarian kitchen. Very quiet block near very lively area with fantastic restaurants. Yes, it's a studio, but it made a big difference, after a long day of walking, to come home to a nice-sized bathroom with a deep tub and endless hot water.
We didn't use the television but we did use the wireless for music (we brought a sound dock) and it worked fine.
What downtown NYC is to midtown, what the Marais is to the 7th, this neighborhood is to the usual tourist areas of Rome. We walked almost everywhere, and when we needed a taxi, there was a good stand a few blocks away near the Ponte Sisto.
Emiliano is super-easy to work with, very friendly and flexible and helpful. Excellent English. The apartment is a funky, romantic little hideaway, a bit rough around the edges but nevertheless a very good value in a wonderful location. Clean, comfortable, quiet, and romantic. Darling private terrace. After three weeks of tiny showers everywhere else, I especially appreciated having a nice big bathtub! Would happily come back.
Great flat with a private terrace.
Fantastic location, in the centre of Trastevere but really quite.
Really cool overall.
Probably the best spot I've tried in Rome!
This little house is so cute.
This place is full of charm and so quiet in the middle of this botanical garden.
We were very welcomed by Emiliano .... Many Thanks
Great experience in Rome ! The appartment was perfect for 2 : very cute and well decorated, great terrace, perfect location. We were very warmly welcomed and would definitively come back on our next trip to Rome !
The terrace is great for having a drink after a long day of walking in Rome : you feel as in a garden even though you're just next to all the animation of Trastevere !
He was a magnificent person. The place was much more than what I expected. Clean and gorgeous. Very beautifull. Emiliano made the arrangements fon the taxi to pick me up at 5 AM to take me to the air port, and if I go back to Rome, I would go back to this lovely Garden Maisonette in Trastevere. And only 15 minutes walking fron Piazza Navona.
Apartment is very beautiful, comfortable, clean and good located. The terrace is truly amazing! I should say that Emiliano is a very good host. We had a problem with booking through the website till last minute but Emiliano was very helpful and patient. I will always recommend everyone to stay in this beautiful place or at any other properties of Emiliano!
We loved this small, tucked away apartment. It has a large terrace in a maze of small apartments that are nonetheless very private. The apartment is a studio with a double bed, a small kitchen area and a sitting/dining area. The bathroom is large with a wonderful tub. We would definitely go back - the location is perfect as well.
Many thanks to Emiliano for listing this gem. He is a very good host. Due to him and the other residents of the villa our stay was close to perfect.
I have been to Rome many times. For me the beauty of this apartment lies in the location. I have stayed on in hotels on Via Serpenti, Nationale, and of course, as all backpackers do, in the hotels around the Termini Station. But this location was the best. It is a short walk to all that Trastevere has to offer: restaurants, churches, markets, bars, an excellent vintage guitar store, and anything you might need. Our daily routine involved a quick coffee, a short walk to Piazza Trilussa, where we would buy supplies and orient ourselves, and then a short march across the Ponte Sisto into the historic centre; it was that close and easy. After a day of sight seeing , museum going or shopping our trudge up the dead-end street to the enclave nestled by the Botanical Gardens was welcome. It was like going home.
Practicalities: There is no oven, a microwave but no oven. Cooking facilities are basic. I could make extensive use of them because I am used to a bare bones kitchen. Plumbing and water are good. There is no problem with the shower or bath. The terrasse is wonderful (cats and geckos come visit). The bed is big and good.
Thanks again Emiliano.
