I just had the best time ever with Kaoru San, she is an amazing person and I feel soooooo amazingly happy I had the chance to meet her. I learned so much from her, and I do admire her energy and her personality.
All this home stay experience with her was far far beyond all my expectations.
Her house is very nice, great sunny confortable bedroom, so close to a nice garden perfect for jogging. Very calm area, not so far from tokyo center, easy to go by metro, happy to come back after the craziness of the city. Great great breakfast, great home made soups, great great everything !!!!
The house can be a little hard to find even with the gps, so, if you go by cab, make sure you have internet access, or Taise phone number, so that she can help you..she is a very sweet and funny girl.
I am not sure my english is good enough to describe exactly how I feel about my host, so I will go on in french....
I recommend Christina T's B&B. I found the location in relation to public transportation was excellent (once I grew used to it). The real plus was the owner, Kaoru-san, who was very open, interested and accommodating. And Teise's friends, who came to collect me. It was a great experience! Many thanks!
Great place to stay. Appreciated Abbi's company as well. Good location made my stay in Tokyo easier
The neighborhood was quiet and secluded. Perfect for experiencing the calm, residential side of Tokyo. The house was neat and much larger than I had expected. All amenities are on-site and available.
My hosts were the most genuinely nice people ever and I would not think of staying anywhere else while in Tokyo. The worst day I had there was when my summer program was over and I had to leave.
It is a wonderful experience to live in the big house. The room is very comfortable and clean, breakfast is healthy and delicious.
Thanks Taise and nice owner.
The host, Kaoru-san, is a dear and very open person, yet very respectful of others. Provided that you offer the same respect and courtesy, it is likely that you will have as nice a stay as I did.
Clean room, clean bed, clean bathrooms. (so keep it that way).
The time-distance from Minami-Asagaya to Shinjuku is about 20'; I didn't mind one bit. An additional advantage of Kaoru-san's place is that it is quiet, with nice green-area surroundings (good for walks, meditation, or jogging).
Taïse is very effective and responsive in getting things organized to satisfaction of all parties.
Taise is very friendly and helpful. She came and picked me up from the train station and even allowed me to come around early. Kaoru and Noel are the hosts of the property I stayed at and they were both lovely to me. Each day Kaoru has prepared a lovely breakfast for me and when I fell sick Kaoru helped me get some cold medicine which was a godsend as I can not read Japanese well enough to get some from a chemist on my own.

I am originally from Brazil, I have now lived in Japan for 12 years. I have a degree in hospitality, and I have been hosting guests in Tokyo since 2011. I am very friendly and easy-going, and I am always looking for new opportunities in the hostel business. Right now I have a few great apartments in Shinjuku, which is one of the most convenient places in Tokyo for travelers. Shinjuku station is central to the expansive network of trains in the Tokyo area, making it fast, cheap, and easy to travel almost anywhere. In addition to the two apartments I have, I can also sometimes rent my friends' apartments short-term while they are traveling. With this unique situation, we can make some great deals!
Have a wonderful stay!
