Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Taise is very friendly and helpful. She came and picked me up from the train station and even allowed me to come around early. Kaoru and Noel are the hosts of the property I stayed at and they were both lovely to me. Each day Kaoru has prepared a lovely breakfast for me and when I fell sick Kaoru helped me get some cold medicine which was a godsend as I can not read Japanese well enough to get some from a chemist on my own.

  • Taise and Kara San (sorry I am sure that is spelled terribly) were absolutely wonderful, accomodatings hosts. Always happy to answer any questions, inviting me along to things and showing me around but never in a way that felt like I was being pressured into doing things. They are so friendly, and you will just love staying with them and LOVE Tokyo- It's such a fun city. I will absolutely stay here when I come back again. I already miss the cute morning breakfast chats. This is the real Japan. Thanks Taise so much!!

  • I introduced a friend to Taise and everything went great. Taise answers very quickly and was always polite, helpful and accommodating.
My friend said the place was very spacious and clean. She also said Kaoru-san is very sweet and even have her some Japanese lessons.
Great cost performance, would definitely recommend Taise's place to anyone.

  • An excellent bed and breakfast spot. Excellent quality and prices.
If you have the japanese spirit, you will accommodate very quicly to this house.
Moreover, Kaoru-san is a very kind host. When you have a problem or need something, she can always help you.
She will be like your mother, or your grandmother, depend of your age :)
In bonus, she will teach you some usefull expressions in japanese, or more, depend of your level.

  • I was very fortunate to have stayed with Raise and Kaoru-san, beyond the great location of the house and the house itself I was lucky that they were my hosts. To my great misfortune I sprained my ankle during my stay in Tokyo. Kaoru-san was kind enough to not only take me to the hospitals but also cover some of my medical expenses because I was short on cash (obviously I paid her back). I can't thank them enough, not just for the excellent conditions in which I was hosted but also for the unbelievable help I received when I was injured. Make sure to stay here.

  • Taise and Kaoru-san were fantastic hosts - generous, friendly, and easy to communicate with. They were always willing to do what they can to make my stay comfortable and pleasant. It was great talking to Kaoru-san every morning because it really improved my Japanese! The house is very nice and located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood - location is also quite convenient. My first bnb experience and a great one!

  • Taise was a great hostess. She responded quickly and was a great communicator. She made my first day in Tokyo amazing by offering her advice and assistance. Her home was as pictured, clean, and welcoming. I would definitely stay with her again. She managed to make my stay with her warm and inviting, which made me feel like I had immediately found a home away from home.

Hi! My name is Taise, and although I am originally from Brazil, I have now lived in Japan for 12 years. I have a degree in hospitality, and I have been hosting guests in Tokyo since 2011. I am very friendly and easy-going, and I am always looking for new opportunities in the hostel business. Right now I have a few great apartments in Shinjuku, which is one of the most convenient places in Tokyo for travelers. Shinjuku station is central to the expansive network of trains in the Tokyo area, making it fast, cheap, and easy to travel almost anywhere. In addition to the two apartments I have, I can also sometimes rent my friends' apartments short-term while they are traveling. With this unique situation, we can make some great deals! Have a wonderful stay! Taise de Carvalho B&B Tokyo Casa
