  • Giudita and George were fantastic hosts and there beautifully decorated home was incredible. They were very generous with their time. The room for rent was very comfortable, and I slept really well in their super comfy bed. Downtown or historic Nevada City was just a stone's throw from The Bridge, so, in all it was a super great stay! Thank you again, Giudita and George!

  • Giudi & George were spectacular hosts in their gorgeous and unique home! The beautiful room we stayed in was nestled facing the back deck and yard of their wonderful property, which made it very easy for our dog Trigger to go out. G&G have us great tips on restaurants and events around Nevada City as well, which were just lovely. We all had a very enjoyable stay and would undoubtedly return and recommend others to enjoy a quiet getaway at their home.

  • The Bridge was my first Airbnb experience and it couldn't have been better. It is one of a kind, gorgeous inside and out. Tranquil setting, tastefully decorated with great attention to detail, wonderful hosts; I can't help wanting to go back again.

Giudita & George have built this house from scratch and have lot of interesting stories to share. They are very generous hosts and accommodated all our last minute requests. Thank you Guidita & George.

  • The Covered Bridge is wonderful, and so are it's hosts Giudita and George. I overlooked the fact that our room was a private room in a house shared with the hosts, but Giudita and George were so thoughtful, fun and accommodating we felt totally at home sharing the common space. The night caps and morning continental breakfast was a sweet touch. :) Loved their story of the house and Nevada City history.

  • You need to stay here! The house was absolutely beautiful (inside and outside). It's so close to town (2 minute drive and 10 minute walk). Also, Guidita and George were lovely hosts who served us breakfast each morning and made sure we were comfortable and had our privacy too.

  • We had a lovely time at the Covered Bridge. Giudita and George are impeccable hosts. We had a particular interest in local swimming holes and they had a guide to some of the best spots waiting for us. You can walk to town from the house - ask Giudita about the path by the pond and baseball field.

  • Guidita and George were nice enough to let us rent the whole house instead of just one room since we were in town for a wedding and needed the extra space. Our only struggle was the stairs up to the other bedrooms (that aren't normally rented). The are super steep and tight, making it hard to get luggage and stuff up and down. Also one bedroom is completely on it's own so you have to go down a narrow staircase and up a seperate narrow winding staircase just to go to the bathroom. We made it work, but I wouldn't recommend for children or older folks. Although, not sure how often they rent the whole house so it may not be an issue. Overall, such a beautiful home! Very well decorated and they were so accomodating! The room they normally rent was really cute and has its own patio. There is great outdoor space to sit out in the nice weather and just have a glass of wine, and it's very close to town, making it easy to go check things out. Over all really great experience and place to stay!

  • We arrived at Judy and George's lovely home, the Covered Bridge House, on a Friday evening. They were there to greet us, and thus began a wonderful weekend. My daughter and I were warmly welcomed, helped to settle in and offered refreshments. What a lovely home, and what charming, down-to-earth hosts! The home is easy to find, just above downtown Nevada City. This made it very convenient for us to go back and forth, as we were in town for a film festival. We had a private entrance so felt comfortable that we could come and go without disturbing our hosts, though we weren't ever made to feel as though we were intruding. It was very nice to come home Friday night and find "turn-down" service that one would expect in a fine hotel. Judy served breakfast the next morning (complete with the all-important coffee) and they were a joy to converse with as we ate and laughed. George and Judy know the entire area very well, and could guide any visitor to interesting locales. We've spent lots of time in Nevada City, but for folks from farther away, this would be a Godsend. I thought the experience rocked, as we felt we were staying with old friends, yet in luxurious surroundings. My 14-year old and I travel quite a bit together, and this is one of the nicer stays we've had in recent memory.

  • Wow! The Bridge experience was just that--an experience. This is not your ordinary home with a room. This is a feast for your senses. From the backdrop of the forests surrounding the bridge to the art work on the walls. All was visually stunning. The bedroom was beautiful and the bed was the most comfortable one I've ever slept in. Giudita and George topped off the stay with being gracious and accommadating hosts from their recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants to their wonderful coffee and scones in the morning. We can't wait to stay there again!
