My whole, big one bedroom apartment is at your disposal.
Minutes away from the Metropolitan Museum, Guggenheim Museum, The Frick Museum, Central Park.
You can do laundry right across the street, grocery store is right around the corner as are a half dozen restaurants. If you stay here, you will be in good company as the famous singer Madonna lives on the same street.
This One Bedroom Apartment is located on 81st Street near the East River, which translates to a peaceful and safe street.
It has a fashionable living room, the bedroom is faced in the back of the building for a quiet night's sleep. The kitchen has a cozy feel to it. The bathroom is right next to the bedroom, it has a bathtub, toilet and sink. A/C, Internet available. Clean bedsheets and towels are at your disposal. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I will be happy to answer any of your concerns.
Thank you for viewing my listing.
No matter where you stay in New York City, you will have a great time.
We ask that you not smoke in the apartment as it is not allowed to smoke in the apartment building, thank you. I would kindly ask that after 11pm to be considarate towards our hard working neighbors who are in bed by then, thank you. Lastly, if you could, it would be most appreciated if you treated my apartment as you would your own, thanks so much and enjoy the stay, Renne.
Nice, modest apartment. Could have been cleaner. But larger than average. And the price was reasonable. Portable coat rack was a nice touch. Be prepared to walk up stairs. Would stay here again.
Overall, we had a lovely time in Renne's apartment. It's not super luxurious (old kitchen, couch falling apart, tiny bathroom that could benefit from some TLC) but it was fine for us for the two nights we spent here.
Things we really liked:
- Renne was very prompt in replying to questions.
- great location in the UES.
- clean space; the pictures were accurate.
Renne and Kristina have a nice cosy apartment up on the Upper East side of Manhattan.
While it's a little far from the subway (by Manhattan standards) it was a comfortable a partment in a nice quiet neighbourhood.
Only thing is the place is on the 4th floor so be sure to travel light.
The apartment comes well furnished and wasa great place to rest after long days of walking.
I would recommend the place to younger to middle age travellers who don't mind walking a little more.
Two positives: The location was very good and it was quiet.
Many negatives: Very run down, inferior bedding, gas odor, substandard bathroom with discolored tub and neglected grouting - I could not take a shower.
This apartment is in a great location with so many awesome restaurants within walking distance
The apartment is clean and spacious and a good quality full size mattress .
The apartment has a few flights of stairs to climb so be mindful f that with luggage .
This apartment is no means luxury but it is cosy and would suit a young non fuss couple.
The neighbourhood (calm and pleasant)
The bed – good quality mattress
Be careful of the initial price that appears on the website : the real cost is much higher (variations due to the occupancy rate, the season, the dates,)
Far from the subway
No windows in the bedroom (the windows are shuttered)
The bedroom is adjacent to the building corridor: earplugs highly recommended against the noise of neighbours heading home, as well as loud refrigerator in the next door kitchen
High and narrow steps leading up to the fourth floor that make them difficult to climb
Exceedingly tiny bathroom with miniscule washbasin
Kitchen: a single dishcloth is provided (in our case for 9 days)
No coffee machine, no microwave
Living room: the so-called “couch” has no back-rest cushions (one sits back against the frame of the couch), the imitation leather is literally falling apart with bits of fabric lying around on the floor
And to top it all: we had planned an appointment with Christina to give back the keys when we were leaving. She didn’t show up, she didn’t respond to our messages on her cell phone and didn’t apologize. We had to figure out as best we could (the taxi was waiting downstairs to bring us to the airport) how to close-up the apartment - which can not be closed by just slamming the door, the doorlock needs to be closed with the keys - and find the superintendant to hand over the keys
Conclusion: this apartment is exceedingly expensive in regards to the stateand service provided. We absolutely do not recommend it.
Clean and value for money but not luxurious. Suitable for two people. Three flights up. No microwave. 10 minute bus ride to subway system but convenient to museums and central park.
