Phillip Island is a beautiful holiday destination all year round. It is the home of the famous Little Penguin parade, and also has a countless variety of beaches to explore, including some of Australia's best surf beaches. The house is 900 metres from Red Rocks Beach which is a peaceful, north facing bay beach - perfect for swimming and for young children who can explore marine life in the many rock pools.
Other attractions on the island include koala sanctuary and wildlife parks, bush walking, sea kayaking, surfboard hire or lessons, horse riding, bird watching and wildlife spotting (you will often see kangaroos, echidnas, and many other beautiful animals just walking to the beach). There is a chocolate factory, ten pin bowling, 2 golf courses, plus mini golf for the kids, pelican feeding, and lots of free school holiday activities.
The house is tucked away in a quiet location, yet only a couple minutes drive from the heart of Cowes which has any kind of shop you might need.
There is a large undercover carport on the property for your car or bikes.
We felt totally relaxed and at home during our stay in the bungalow. The bungalow was comfortable for the three of us and equipped with everything we needed. Kaela was kind and had such a beautiful calming energy that allowed us to totally be ourselves. The location was perfect for us. It was very convenient but far enough from the busyness of the town during summer. It was a noticeably quiet and relaxing place. Phillip island has so much to offer with a wide range of activities for all. Even during the busyness of summer we were able to find beautiful walks and beaches to explore crowd free.
Kaela has a lovely house - lots of space for guests. The wood fire is fab and a bonus that Kaela has it all set ready to go for visitors (unfortunatly we didnt have time to use it as lots to see and do on Philip Island). The outdoor area is also lovely for outdoor eating in the good weather.
Our stay in Kaela's home was perfect. There were 4 of us in the house - 2 couples. We were very comfortable and had plenty of room, with a bedroom and bathroom upstairs, and a bedroom and bathroom downstairs. The fireplace was a welcome treat for those chilly nights.
We were in town for the Moto GP, and we couldn't have picked a better location. The house is a 5 minute drive from the centre of town, and 10 minutes from the circuit. Also about 10 minutes from the Penguin Parade.
Kaela was very helpfu in the lead up to our stay, when we arrived, and during our stay. When we arrived Kaela gave us a tour of her home, and helped us build a fire for the night. During our stay she even dropped off some additional kindling, and texted once or twice to see if there was anything else she could do to ensure we were enjoying our stay.
Thanks again Kaela.
Kaela was away while we visited, but we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay in her charming home. The wood stove was a nice treat!
