Nice bright room where you can stay comfortably and cheap for a longer stay. The room is one of eight in a modern teracced house which is shared with seven students. It has two bathrooms and one toilet and two small gardens.
Next door is the bus stop that can take you all the way to Stockholm university or to Kista that has Stocholms largest indoor mall it is less than ten minutes away. The subway is a three minuits walk away and it takes you to the centralstation in twenty minutes. Next door you also have the Järva field, one of Stockholms biggest nature reserves which is made for beautiful walks and bike rides. We have bikes you can borrow.
The house is equipped with a washing room. You will have internet access and a great host that will tell you everything you want to know about the art scene, clubs and attractions in Sthlm.
Simple! Clean up your own mess, pay for what you break, only eat waht you bought and the private rooms stands for privacy.
The house is great! Little bit crowded at some times as there are 8 rooms, but the cultural diversity makes up for that. Don't worry too much about the neighbourhood, it has enough supermarkets and it's very close to a metro station. I would recommend it if you are here for work or study reasons.
We didn't see Mariam much, but she seemed like a really kind and helpful person. Whatsoever, there were always people at the house willing to help for whatever we needed. There room was also clean and pretty nice. Recommended without second thoughts.
Mariam is very practical and has a lot of empathy and good spirit. The house is very well organised and has a wellcoming touch which I enjoyed much. I recommend gladly
Had a great experience staying here. The whole house was clean. The street room was big, comfortable, quiet, and had a nice atmosphere. I met some other really cool travellers here. A friend from Stockholm laughed when I told him which suburb I was staying in, but don't be intimidated by the neighbourhood. It was a great experience
I spent three months in the arty guesthouse (Street Room) and had a great time there. What I really liked about this place was the possiblity to meet so many nice (young) students, interns and travellers from all over the world. Sometimes, it could have been a bit cleaner in the common areas, but that's to be exptected when you live together with so many people. Mariam was very nice, relaxed and helpful - she has a great knowledge about Stockholm and its surroundings as well as its inhabitants. Often, I spent much more time talking to my (website hidden) in the kitchen in the evenings when I originally intented to. Don't believe what people tell you about Rinkeby - it might appear a bit shady in the beginning, but I found it to be a perfectly safe and calm neighbourhood with the added advantage of being very close to Kista where I worked. Furthermore, there is a bus station just outside the house and the T-Bana station is only 4 minutes away on foot. I can only recommend this place to anyone staying in Stockholm who is not adverse to a lively home and children (Mariam's daughter Khloee and her partner Jason are also living in the house) and would always return when coming back to Stockholm!
We were warmly welcomed and the flexibility on check-in/out time was greatly appreciated, not to mention the nice trip to the local flea-market with the hostess and general tips and hints on where to go and what to do in Stockholm. A pleasant stay - we will most certainly book as room again next time we are in Stockholm.
First of all we had a pleasant stay at Mariam's guesthouse. I was travelling with a friend and we chose the "Street Room" - a good choice! Mariam arranged it very cosy and stylish and added a second bed so we had enough space. With all this interesting pictures and paintings all over the house you found yourself in a pretty little galery. Mariam was very friendly - unfortunately she had to leave the house for a few days, so we can't get to know each other so well. Maybe next time ;)
