The apartment is an owner-listed, full-time rental so walk in closets and dressers are empty and there is no landlord to make you to leave when you arrive! The quiet, light-filled 1 br/1 ba garden apartment is in an adorable 3-unit 1920s townhouse with tons of SF character. The apartment is on a quiet tree-lined street with a private entrance, custom window seat, two sets of bay windows, and a sunny backyard.

The Marina is flat and 100% walk / bike friendly, and 2 bikes are included with your rental. The apartment is 2 blocks from the center of vibrant Chestnut Street, filled with the best restaurants, shops and nightlife of the city. It is also 3 blocks from the marina (beach), where you can walk along the Bay admiring views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, Palace of Fine Arts and the mountains of Marin. In addition, it is just a 45 minute drive to Napa/Sonoma wine country. Two blocks from the apartment there are 2 bus stops that run busses catering to all neighborhoods of the city.

Within 2-5 blocks, not only will you find 40+ restaurants and bars, but you will also be close to 3 grocery stores, 2 movie theaters, 2 yoga studios, 1 gym, 2 drug stores, and arguably the best running/biking path in the US (Marina Blvd). You will also be within walking distance (1mi) to the following neighborhoods: Cow Hollow, Russian Hill, Fisherman's Wharf (Ghirardelli Square!), the Presidio and Pacific Heights.

Full amenities include:
•2 mountain bikes (1 male & 1 female) with helmets and locks

  • We had a great experience. Tyler & Stefanie were extremely responsive, helpful and friendly. We stayed in the apartment for three months with our 2-years old daughter, and had a wonderful time. The neighborhood is beautiful, with the waterfront just a few minutes walk away. I am quite sure that this is one of the best places to stay in SF - and even a bit sad that we could not stay longer.

  • We stayed at Stepanie and Tyler's place for four months. The location was perfect for us - walking distance to the Presidio, Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf and other tourist sites, as well as plenty of things to do right there in the Marina district. We felt safe coming and going at all hours of the day or night. Transportation to other parts of the city was very convenient. North Beach, Chinatown, the Mission District, and the Castro were easy to reach.

Stephanie and Tyler were very helpful and responded quickly whenever we had a question. They did a great job of making our stay a wonderful experience.

  • Stephanie and Tyler's place was perfect! We were there for an entire month and not a single thing went wrong. It was very clean, cozy and quiet. The outdoor space was wonderful too and who can beat going for a run along the Marina Green just steps out your door. S&T were also always very responsive and helpful. A great experience all around.

  • Once again a perfect weekend. Such a sweet place to nest up while visiting the city. The rose garden was in bloom even! Thanks again!

  • Thank you so much Stephanie and Tyler for an amazing place to call home for the weekend. Perfect place for a small family to call home. Clean, well organized, amazing location, and comfortable.
We would definitely stay here again!

  • Nice little apartment in a great location in San Francisco. Very close to tons of wonderful shops, the marina, palace of fine arts and many cultural experiences. Good for both tourists and locals. Wonderful backyard and very pet friendly. Hosts are very friendly and timely.

  • I had a great stay in Tyler & Stephanie's apt. The location is ideal for experiencing the Marina, with the Bay and shopping/restaurants both within a few blocks. I stayed with my dog over Thanksgiving wkend, had AMAZING short-sleeved shirt/no fog weather, and the Marina is such a dog-friendly place! The apt was comfortable, CLEAN, (only my dog could tell another dog was living there ;-) , quiet, and private with a lovely back patio out the livingroom door. It had all the creature comforts of home, including a very comfortable bed, large sofa, HD TV, and wireless internet (used in the evenings since I stayed in with my dog). From the apt, we took daily walks to the Marina Green and headed west along the bay trail to the Palace of Fine Arts and the Golden Gate Bridge, or to the east to Fort Mason, Ghiraradelli Square and Fisherman’s Wharf. Tons of runners, bicyclists and dog walkers all over the place, with dogs allowed off-leash on the trail and beach-which I loved since my dog is a great off-leash companion. When I headed with him to the shops/restaurants on Chestnut and Union, it was very dog-friendly there too with dogs allowed in the shops and water bowls & treats at almost every door. The area felt very safe too, even walking at night. The nightlife seemed full of activity as I strolled with my dog, so if I hadn't had him with me, I would have enjoyed the many packed restaurants and bars. I highly recommend this place and working with Tyler was really easy as he left me instructions on how to access the place since we weren't able to meet in person. Whether you are travelling with dog or dog-less, you'll enjoy staying here with all the Marina has to offer within walking distance, and having the beautiful City of San Francisco at your doorstep.

  • We had a great stay at Stephanie & Tyler's - a nice comfortable apartment in a great location with lots of restaurants and wonderful markets. We were there for nearly two weeks on business and we had everything we needed within a few blocks. Their communication was great when we arrived getting settled and when our flight was cancelled when leaving and we stayed an extra night. Thanks for the flexibility!

  • Great location for restaurants and little shops. Easy to catch the MUNI and hop on and off tour bus. The bed was wonderful!!!
Be aware there is no telephone for taxis, delivery for a pizza or to call 911!!

  • We loved Tyler & Stephanie's apartment! Tyler was there to meet us and show us around, hand off the keys, etc.... It's the perfect size for 2 or 3 people, as we had our 10yo daughter with us. The neighborhood is great, safe, walkable, we were able to head down to Chestnut Street to pick up some groceries and great Italian food at Lucca's Deli. Also perfect if you're not planning on bringing a car, plenty of public transit available and close by to take you anywhere in the City. I would highly recommend it!

We are a young couple who love to travel and eat well! SF is our home base but we're currently living in NYC and we couldn't be happier. We try to be environmentally and socially conscious, we love animals and volunteer at San Francisco's SPCA in our free time. Our perfect weekend day consists of walking down the street to a boozy brunch, relaxing at Fort Mason, walking or biking down to Crissy Field towards the Golden Gate Bridge, and then going out (email hidden) before a delicious dinner (notice we never even had to leave our neighborhood!). We swear by HGTV, Anthony Bourdain and Parks & Recreation. In all, we are an easy-going, fun-seeking couple who love exploring!
