In the heart of the Marina neighborhood. Within 2-5 blocks you will have 40+ restaurants and bars, 3 grocery stores, 2 movie theaters, 2 yoga studios, 1 gym, 2 drug stores, and arguably the best running/biking path in the US (Marina Blvd). You're also be within walking distance (1mi) to the following neighborhoods: Cow Hollow, Russian Hill, Fisherman's Wharf (Ghirardelli Square!), the Presidio and Pacific Heights.
The Marina is flat and 100% walk / bike friendly. 2 bikes are included with your rental! The apartment is 2 blocks from the center of vibrant Chestnut Street but it is also 3 blocks from the marina (beach), where you can walk along the Bay admiring views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, Palace of Fine Arts and the mountains of Marin. In addition, it is just a 45 minute drive to Napa/Sonoma wine country. Two blocks from the apartment there are 2 bus stops that run busses catering to all neighborhoods of the city. We don't recommend bringing a car, but we can help you get a SF visitor permit if necessary.
Cats and dogs are welcome but we ask that they stay off the furniture and that you clean up the patio throughout your stay. The washer/dryer in the garage is for the exclusive use of our unit. Please use the front door, not the garage door to enter & exit the apartment. There is no smoking allowed.
We moved to San Francisco at the end of December and looked for a place to stay while looking for a permanent home. We had no idea about different areas and chose Stephanie & Tyler's place purely based on the great reviews and what looked like a convenient location for work - and we weren't disappointed. The apartment is in a beautiful part of town. The location is the best you could get - you are a few minutes walk away from Chestnut Street which has lots of bars and restaurants, you have a supermarket nearby, the beach and lots of parks. It's ideal - in fact we loved it so much that we found a permanent place just a few streets away. The apartment has everything you need and is great if you are staying there for a longer period of time. It is very quiet and the comfortable bed will ensure you have a great night's sleep.
Stephanie and Tyler were so helpful and kind and have helped us with all our questions we had beforehand and were very accommodating with us moving in and making it as convenient for us as possible. We would definitely recommend this place and we would recommend anyone staying here.
Stephanie and Tyler were fantastic hosts! The apartment was clean, comfy and bright. The location was also amazing. It was so centrally located to great shops and restaurants and a three minute walk to the water. Stephanie and Tyler's place made staying long term so easy and had every creature comfort thinkable from coffee filters to hair conditioner. It was fantastic.
They were quick to contact us and make sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. We would enthusiastically recommend staying with them. They were incredible hosts!
Fantastic host ! What can I say we LOVED this apartment !! Even nicer than the pictures. Perfect location for everything we wanted to see. It was very quiet with a nice outdoor area. We really enjoyed our stay at Tyler & Stephanie's apartment. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in San Francisco.
Great experience, location and hosts. This post is realistic and accurate. Thank you Tyler and Stephanie!
We had a great one month stay at Stephanie and Tyler’s place. We cannot say enough about the location. The place is two blocks from Chestnut Street with great stores and restaurants. The area is very nice for walking and running, with Crissy Field and Fort Mason nearby. We made good use of the bikes that come with the place, since the location is next to excellent bike routes, one towards the Golden Gate bridge and Sausalito, and the other to the Ferry building.
The place has everything for two people, very functional, bright and comfortable. The place is very quiet and has friendly neighbors. We occasionaly cooked at home and eat outside in the garden (weather permitting in August in SF). We comfortably worked from home, and enjoyed the space. Finding parking around is not bad by SF standards, and we got a monthly visitor parking permit not to be limited to 2 hour parking in the vicinity. Checking in and out was very smooth and communication with Stephanie and Tyler was excellent although we did not meet in person.
We had a great experience. Tyler & Stefanie were extremely responsive, helpful and friendly. We stayed in the apartment for three months with our 2-years old daughter, and had a wonderful time. The neighborhood is beautiful, with the waterfront just a few minutes walk away. I am quite sure that this is one of the best places to stay in SF - and even a bit sad that we could not stay longer.
We are a young couple who love to travel and eat well! SF is our home base but we're currently living in NYC and we couldn't be happier. We try to be environmentally and socially conscious, we love animals and volunteer at San Francisco's SPCA in our free time. Our perfect weekend day consists of walking down the street to a boozy brunch, relaxing at Fort Mason, walking or biking down to Crissy Field towards the Golden Gate Bridge, and then heading to a delicious dinner (notice we never even had to leave our neighborhood!). We swear by HGTV, Anthony Bourdain and Parks & Recreation. In all, we are an easy-going, fun-seeking couple who love exploring!
