This house is absolutely AMAZING! My girlfriends and I rented it for a 30th birthday trip/college reunion and it was the perfect place for a group. This would also be a great choice for a few couples to share on a wine tasting vacation. The pictures of this house and property don't even do it justice - it is huge, beautiful, and fully equipped for groups. The house is located in a private area, but very easily accessible from downtown Sonoma and the other main roads that take you to the other areas for wineries. The view from the backyard is also unbelievable. I would absolutely stay at this house again if I come back to the area with a group.
The house was beautiful and very large, and our group of 12 had a great time for our long weekend in Sonoma.
The greeting was a little odd, when we arrived the owner was putting together new patio furniture and he asked us to wait until he was done (about 30 minutes) before he would hand over the keys and walk through the details. Not a big deal, just a little odd.
The house was wonderful to stay in, though I would strongly recommend the description of the rooms be corrected. There are only one private room (with a king bed), the other two "king suites" both have sofa beds so they are NOT private. This place is perfect for three couples (six people), where each could have a room. Kids would be OK on the sofa/sleepers, because it's expected to share with them. I wouldn't recommend this place for more than three couples, unless the people are comfortable with each other to share rooms/beds. The sofa/sleeper mattresses are not comfortable enough for adults to sleep on. Some of our group moved to the couches because they couldn't sleep.
Other than that, the place was great for entertaining a large group of 12 people. Plenty of space to prep food, cook and dine either inside out out on the beautiful patio area. There was plenty of space in the living room area, and in the patio/yard area to hang out and relax for everyone.
The house was absolutely wonderful and exactly as described. Prettier & more spacious than advertised! Only about a 2 minute drive to downtown Sonoma and about 10 mins from Napa. Very quiet and private grounds.
Michael & Marie very communicative before, during and after the check-out as we had random questions during our stay.
We very comfortably had 9-10 adults stay at the home and never once felt crowded or on top of each other. Will definitely plan to return to this property in the near future.
A group of 10 of us went for a wedding. The owner was very accommodating in terms of setting up the rooms and couches in a way that would work well for us. The place was even nicer than the pictures, with huge massive rooms and large grounds. I would definitely go back.
This house was perfect for my birthday weekend! There were 12 of us celebrating for the weekend and everyone was comfortably accommodated. The property feels secluded but is not far from town (about 2.5 miles from the Whole Foods and downtown Sonoma). We spent most of our time at the house relaxing but when we ran out of supplies it was super convenient to make a run into town. The house was well stocked for cooking and the grill worked great! I couldn't have asked for a better house to spend my birthday weekend!
We had a great get away at Rancho Paradiso. The house was exactly as described and Michael was easy to reach while we were planning our trip.
It was the perfect house for two families with kids. All three bedrooms have bathrooms so it felt so private. The kitchen is well stocked. We really enjoyed cooking and sharing meals at their long table.
Look no further you have found your house with a pool in Sonoma.
This was the perfect getaway... it was absolutely true that it was private and the house was spacious. There were 4 of us and we all felt like we would want to come back. The kitchen was well equipped (we like to cook) and we spent much of the weekend in the perfectly heated pool. And hot tub. We paid extra to have it heated, but we were glad we did. It's a great house for several friends or couples to gather at. Comfortable, luxurious, and private.
About the Host, Marie And Michael
We are very grateful to be living in a most beautiful area of Northern California where the natural beauty of the area is available to be explored in our many Parks, Recreation areas, the San Francisco Bay, the Pacific Ocean, the Lakes and Rivers of Sonoma County and beyond.
We like to hike, we love to eat! from Food trucks to Diners to World class restaurants, eating out is such a pleasure in this area with so many fresh food, farm to table choices.
Also, if you are a junior chef, Farmer's markets are fantastic here year round.
Traveling is what we do best! Latin America and Mexico are our favorites although, our very favorite yearly trip is camping in a simple campsite, no showers, no shops, no cell phone service, just a lake within 3 1/2 hours drive...perfect.
There is a wonderful music scene here and live music venues are plentiful.
Michael is a huge sports fan, I keep telling him to start a blog he's so into it!
Marie is a huge music fan, reggae is her favorite and she loves to cook.
