if you want bare minimalism and find helmut newton offensive, this is not the place for you.
whole apartment - however, there are some cupboards and trunks which are clearly not for guests use. the cupboards and drawers in the bedroom for guests are clearly marked. food in the kitchen that is left out and clearly marked for guests to use is available to them also.

Other Things to Note
I tend to need a week's notice. generally I don't book for more than 2 weeks but please ask - dates might work out!
August 2014 - at this juncture i cannot do long stays (a month or more) for the next few months so no point in enquiring.
please email before sending through a request.
children are treated as adults and count as an extra person. please read house info - yes it's the whole flat available, the price should show up when you put your dates in and this is the price of the booking (i won't consider discounts, sorry). also, please ensure you put the correct number of people in when enquiring.
also open to house swaps if they are in places i need/want to go! (New York, other areas of America, etc.)
i don't accept bookings from someone with no photo and all guests must be verified. I also ask for copy of passport from all guests staying.
no smoking - the building is non-smoking so if you want a cigarette please go to the roof or downstairs communal garden. please don't burn candles either.
NO PARTIES OR GATHERINGS IN THE APARTMENT. I've had some damage to the floors caused by airbnb guests - the trunks are not extra seating.
please ensure downstairs windows are closed when you leave the apartment, upstairs window is left open always to air the place.
please ensure heating is off. when heating is on please make sure that sofa is not pressed against it. any damage to the sofa will be taken from deposit.
please ensure the rubbish is deposited in the rubbish chute (down the corridor) when you vacate the apartment. the recycling is down in the basement - if you go towards the gym it's the outdoor area on the right.
please be energy efficient - turn off the lights, plugs at the mains and don't leave heating on when you leave the house (it is electric).
please use coasters for drinks so the table doesn't get damaged.
please ensure dishwasher is turned on (if filled with dirties) before you leave.
please turn off laptops when you leave the house. any excess electricity/internet download use will be docked from deposit or i will contact you at a later date when the meter is read if excessive use has occured for a contribution.
please do not remove anything from the house - any missing items will be reported missing/taken from deposit.
it would be great if when you leave, you could strip the bedding and leave it in a pile with the towels.
if things are in cupboards and/or clearly not for guest use, please be respectful. the trunks should not be moved - previous guests damaged the floor doing this.
Please - no shoes on the carpeted areas.
due to recent events, i now require a copy of passport to be scanned and sent to me upon reservation. I also need names of all guests.
This is a short let - no mail to be sent to the apartment.
Please be courteous to the concierge - he is only doing his job.
thank you and enjoy yourselves!
We had a wonderful experience in Carolina's loft. The view was stunning, and the space is just as it is pictured in the photos. We really appreciated the use of the amenities, such as the washing machine, iron, etc. We especially appreciated use of the fantastic gym. The loft is wonderfully located, just steps from several mainline bus routes and the tube. Carolina is also very responsive, answering our questions within 24 hours at most. We found all the doormen to be very helpful and courteous. We would definitely stay there again!
hi - i do not provide detergent for guests. just use of the washing machine!
thanks for letting me know about the smell - i just checked and it seems to be that the truffle honey was left slightly open? FYI the stuff on the top shelf of the fridge is not for guest use.
We stayed at Carolina's flat with our 1 year old son for fuor days and we have enjoyed every bit of it. The flat was full of personality, clean and cozy, not to mention the wonderful view of the City's skyline! The big sunny rooftop was also a nice place to chill out and our son had a lot of fun in the playground situated just in front of the building. The only negative aspect was that we had to pay for our toddler as a grown up person, whereas hotels and Airline companies don't, making our stay a bit overpriced. Carolina was very attentive and when we had a small issue she solved it in a heartbeat!
My boyfriend and I stayed here for six days in May, and the apartment was perfect for us. The kitchen is really well equipped, so it's easy to save money and cook at home if necessary, which was very useful, but it's also near lots of great pubs/restaurants as well. It's close to several tube stations (about a 15 minute walk) and there are several buses which run regularly right at the end of the street. We found it very easy to use as a base for exploring London, but also enjoyed just relaxing in the apartment, as it is a very cozy and sunny apartment. Carolina was also very easy to get in touch with and very friendly. I would recommend both the host and this apartment to anyone!
A refaire !!
I found this place for my mum to stay for a month, mainly we chose it because we live just around the corner. But what a beautiful place it is! My mum very much enjoyed her stay there and especially the view over London's skyline is stunning. She slept very well, which is really not a given and said the bed was very comfortable and despite the decor not quite what she's used to, she felt very much at home. The kitchen is well equipped and she enjoyed cooking in it. Unfortunately we're moving, if we weren't she'd be very happy to stay in Carolina's flat again! Carolina was a lovely host, very easy to contact and helpful.
Loved my stay! Carolina was there when I arrived and was very courteous. she gave me the rundown on everything, and had explained some past issues so I would be up to speed on what I needed to know about her concerns. there were enough towels and clean bedsheets. I was there for 5 days and it was the perfect space for 2 and the location is amazing. Pubs, little restaurants and even an Odeon movie theatre. I had a great time. Thank you Carolina!!!
Fabulous apartment, beautiful building and great location. Carolina is a very helpful host and thought of everything we might need for our stay. It made our break all the more pleasurable and I'm looking forward to staying there again when I next visit London.
