Moments on the rooftops of Paris
On the verandas of Tennessee Williams
Through the alleyways of New York
And the crashing waves of Venice
From house to house without too much fight
Our love passes
With spice and song and laughter
We create within ourselves this art called life
And drink together after
For years we watch, we trade, we cry
We hang out at Billy's
While their world passes by
Our romance intense
The story a steamy one
All on the breeze of a palm tree
Sinking in the ocean with the sun
Should you come to one of our parties
Be you lucky enough to attend
Our special neighborhood
With subtle obscenities
Secretly with the smell of dinner and music
Then you may end up staying
A long while, i may add
And soon it will become difficult to leave this place
Has your heart
Such an excuse
Groovy, cozy, serene hideaway in Venice. Awesome location. I never met the hosts, but they emailed clear instructions on how to get in, etc., and were very responsive to emails and texts when I had questions.
This was my 2nd visit with Tracy. Really enjoyed her hospitality and property. Recommend property to anyone looking to stay in the Venice Beach area.
Tracy is warm and friendly and her place is amazing. We loved our stay there. Highly recommended
Great stay in the starry night room. Beautiful neighborhood, clean common spaces in house. Very artsy and warm feeling to our stay. Gracious host
Such a beautiful and amazing home!!! Why did I ever pay for a hotel?! I will never come to venice and not stay in this warm and beautiful home. My birthday was so beautiful and this home was the cherry on top of the pie!
Tracy was a very accommodating host. Her house and garden were very mystical/new age and had a great, positive vibe. The garden was magnificent... It was almost like staying in a cabin inside an enchanted forest. Her kitties were so sweet, and the neighbourhood was both convenient and nice to stroll. I have honestly never stayed in a place with shared bathrooms, but it didn't end up being a problem, especially since the main bathroom is so awesome (that shower! Wow!) The bedroom was clean and comfortable. We had a great time, and I will certainly be back if I travel through Venice again. I recommend this place to anyone who appreciates that which is out of the ordinary. Thank you for your hospitality, Tracy!
It was wonderful to stay at Tracy's wonderful, enchanted place. The whole house is like an interactive piece of art where you constantly discover new beautiful details and animals at unexpected places (like fish under the bathroom). Tracy was very helpful and well organized.
I researched possible rooms in Venice for hours on airbnb and, in the end, I went with the starry night room which had been my first choice all along and was so pleased I did. The bungalow is such an eccentric jumbling of Seussian proportions. Try sitting outside in the outdoor bed with duvet and pillows and look up to the sky and tell me if that tree is not right out of Dr. Seuss. I felt like Alice in Wonderland and wondered which piece of cake I had eaten. Tracy even has guinea pigs and chickens outside in a large cage. The cute outdoor paths, waterfalls, lighting all in such a small space were so delightful. I appreciated that my room had its own entrance and then I could go into the rest of the house. The bed is incredibly comfortable. I loved that the room is right next to the bathroom and it is the bomb! Killer shower heads above and on the side and, because I realized I was getting sick, Tracy drew the bath, filled it with epsom and dead sea salts, created the perfect lighting for me, and allowed me to bathe in a beautifully large tub with claw feet. It was so wonderful. Oh, and don't forget to switch the light on by the toilet and see the fish below the floor. Another bonus was the beach cruiser bicycle I was allowed to borrow which saved me $20 a day and allowed me to completely explore the Venice boardwalk all the way to Santa Monica and then the other way to the channels and canals of Marina del Rey, which was so beautiful and peaceful. I did not need a car. I discovered how close I was to Abbot Kinney Boulevard, the coolest street in the US and the restaurant Gjelina and its take out place next door. Would I return? Yes. And I would pick the Starry Night room again.
My main reason for visiting Venice for the 2nd time! Word cannot describe the experience here! It's like a live art space with great magic (and plants and kitties!) Everything is so beautiful and full with life with Tracy's wonderful artwork, the most exquisite sense of aesthetic, and warm personality. Both Tracy and her daughter are absolutely attractive and nice people. I felt sincerely welcomed and felt at home here. I stayed two times -- I fall in love with this place and the owners so much that I brought my friend there for a second trip. I plan to go back with my mom. Would confidently recommend to anyone!
