Had a great time at Swallows Keep! Everything was even better than expected, our great hosts Marcia & Ray introduced us to their farm animals including the newborn lamb only 3 days old, and their friendly dogs!
The property was great- widespread, amazing views, part farm, part forest, which backs onto a provincial oceanside park a short hike away. Cabin was cozy, clean, had everything you need to cook inside or BBQ. It had a nice fireplace to relax and read in front of. Lounging or eating a meal out on the deck while listening to birds and watching the sunset was great. Lots of privacy as well. Has everything you could wish for in a retreat. Hope to come back again sometime!
Marcia and Rays magnificent property is immaculate and unbeatable in terms of location. The cabin was spotless, super cozy and is conducive for reading books by the wood fire on rainy, misty nights or the perfect place to start the short walk to Coon Bay. We enjoyed sharing a bottle of wine while taking in the incredible view from one of the thoughtfully placed benches around their property and cooked dinner that night- the kitchen has everything you need.
Super relaxing couple of days, thank you for sharing your place with us!
Marcia and Ray are very friendly, hardworking, and welcoming. Their place is indeed a paradise and is a perfect getaway from the city. We happened to visit during the lambing season and yes the baby lambs were beyond cute. We are planning to come back soon!
It was a wonderful time again at the Marcia's and Ray's. The place is absolutely gorgeous even in cold cold winter. Marcia and Ray are the best, most hospitable hosts. We visited the barn and saw the baby lambs and they are the cutest thing ever! Had such a great time and couldn't have asked for more.
This was the getaway of a lifetime. The cutest most welcoming cabin in a gorgeous pristine setting. Lots of beautiful remote walking trails, and magical forests and beaches. Quiet, serene, amazing. Marcia and Ray are incredible hosts. Generous but inconspicuous. They are there when you need them, but not otherwise. Absolutely perfect. They even came to find us when we got lost at night. Wow. Totally lovely people hosting restorative rejuvenating vacations in breathtaking surroundings. Cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough. Stunning.
First and foremost thank you so much Marcia and Ray! The Cabin, the hikes, the sheep, the dogs, the chickens, the deer, the view, the company, the list goes on for us. We stayed November 15-17 and could not have had a better time. Such a great escape away from the city. Gorgeous views from the property with an easy hike to more gorgeous views down in the Bay. The Cabin itself has everything you could possibly need and Marcia's and Ray are wonderful hosts. When you stay here you also have to check out Marcia's studio as she does some amazing work with glass and combines her talent with other local artists to create wonderful pieces. Can't wait to go back in the summer and swim with the seals down in the bay and see how big Sofie has gotten! Such a fantastic place and you won't regret staying here!
