Rent our beautiful home in the Inner Richmond neighborhood of San Francisco, just a few short blocks from Golden Gate Park, near University of San Francisco.
Our home was built in 1936, styled after Rousseau, a well-known architect, famous for his inner light-well/courtyard. Our house has a central atrium that spreads light through the main parts of the house. It has a great layout, with plenty of room to spread out. We love our home and think you will too.
Perfect for a vacationing family, this is a full family home with a brand new garden. Our house has 3 bedrooms, including a master bedroom/bath downstairs looking out onto our newly redone backyard and two bedrooms upstairs. There are 3 beds (two twins and a queen), plus a trundle in one of the kids room, and room to sleep more with an air mattress and futon if you choose.
The Kitchen is super well equipped with a Viking gas range, Rancillo espresso machine and grinder and all the tools you will need to make great meals at home. We love to cook!
The dining room and living room (with a working gas fireplace) are modern, comfortable and inviting after a long day visiting the city.
We live across the street from a great local park that has tennis and basketball courts, a swimming pool, a great playground and large fields. We are a 5-minute walk to Golden Gate Park. 1 mile from the Presidio. 10 minutes walking to Clement St. and walking distance to major bus lines and restaurants, shopping, etc. Our neighborhood has easy street parking (a big bonus in SF!).
High speed internet
Potential use of our vehicle (to be negotiated)
Garage with lots of workout stuff -- TRX, weights, etc
Some local attractions:
Walking distance to the Academy of Sciences, the De Young and Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park
Walking distance to the Haight Ashbury
Walking distance to Clement Street, short distance to downtown, Marina, Crissy Field, North Beach, Golden Gate Bridge…
Short drive or bus to Ocean Beach
If you are visiting the city on business, the Downtown Express bus (BX) leaves a block from our home.
Easy access to Highway 101 and Marin makes Muir Woods just 30 minutes from our doorstep, the wine country is less than an hour from our door-to-vineyards.

Our family made ourselves at home in Steve's home. With two teenagers, the location near Golden Gate Park was perfect. One of our kids was at the Outside Lands music festival in GG park, so the house became a bit of a teen hangout before they went to the show each day. A great and quiet place to stay, a refuge in busy San Francisco. All the amenities a family needs (and more) were right there.
The Hagler/Marcus Home is a perfect place to enjoy your visit to San Francisco. The house is beautiful, clean, and inviting. The house is of a nice size with plenty of space, private backyard, and quiet neighborhood. It is walking distance from Clement Street (favorite breakfast place was B-Star-Yum) and Alamo Square....Just a cheap cab ride away from everything else.
We enjoyed our stay tremendously and plan to be repeat customers on our next visit back to San Fran. Thanks Julie, Steve and gang.
We had an excellent stay. The house is in such a convenient location, everywhere we wanted to go, and all the amenities we needed, were close by. The Hagler's are such excellent host and prepared the house in such a way to make sure we would be comfortable during our stay there.
And what a stay it was, I can't decide if it was the kitchen, or the fireplace, or the basement garage that was our favourite place. Not too mention the cool sound system they had wired in their house.
If I needed a place in San Francisco again, I wouldn't hesitate to try this place again.
We felt right at home the moment we walked in the door. The house is cozy, comfortable and bathed in natural light in every room. Our family of four enjoyed being able to spread out into separate bedrooms -- our son and daughter each in their own room, and the two of us downstairs in a roomy and private master bedroom suite.
The house is perfectly situated just a half block from a neighborhood park and only a few short blocks from the neighborhood market (and a great women's consignment shop) and a five-minute walk from Golden Gate Park. Also close by was Clement Street, with numerous Asian markets and ethnic restaurants, as well as bakeries, used bookstores, shops and ice cream parlors. The house is also near a number of major MUNI bus lines, which eliminated the need for a car.
Staying in a comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood definitely enhanced our stay in San Francisco. At the end of a busy day of sightseeing, it was great to be able to come "home" and relax. We'd definitely recommend this home to others.
