GRAND TRIPLE room
Sleeps up to Three | Shares Bath with One Room
This is our biggest room, decorated with an Asian vintage motif. Pastel colors, Japanese panels on the walls, soft lighting and antique oriental artwork.
The GRAND TRIPLE room has a comfortable double bed plus a full size futon. Two closets and direct access to a shared bath. The windowed bathroom is large and is only shared with the Menorca Room.
All rooms have A/C, cotton sheets, bath and beach towels and a large picnic blanket, which can be used for the beach. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the house. Every room is decorated with a Dreamcatcher, to protect your sleep and entice sweet dreams.
This gorgeous and intimate Guest House is located right at the beach in the gated community of Ocean Park, only 10 minutes away from the Historical Old San Juan and the airport.
The Dreamcatcher is thoughtfully decorated with mostly vintage furniture and collectibles. The house holds beauty and memories alike, every corner tells a story. The Dreamcatcher is a true oasis with many areas to find privacy as well as to come together with other guests and friends.
The common areas consist of a dining room, two lounging areas with rocking chairs and hammocks. A spacious living room that opens to the garden as well as a fully equipped Communal Kitchen. The garden is protected by dozens of Buddha’s, which quietly sit among the fruit trees, the water fountain and in between the flowers. In addition there is an edible garden in the front of the house with fruits, vegetables and herbs, where guests are welcome to help themselves.
Every room is decorated with a Dreamcatcher to protect your sleep and entice sweet dreams.
This beautiful neighborhood of Ocean Park is one of the very few areas in San Juan where you find direct access to the beach without having High Rises surrounding you.
All in walking distance you have cozy cafes, amazing restaurants, fresh fruit stands, a yoga studio, a farmer’s market, grocery stores, boutiques, surf shops, hair- and beauty salons, only to name a few..
It is a very safe neighborhood and from our house it's only a 10-minute walk to Condado and Isla Verde, both highly touristic areas packed with even more restaurants, spas and shops. The Historical Old San Juan is a 10 minutes car ride and so is the airport.
Staying in Ocean Park, you will enjoy more of a local flair than a mass tourism experience. We at the Dreamcatcher Guest House have made a map of the area with our recommendations for your convenience.
We have very loving and talented massage therapist that will come to the house.
There are some teachers that will come to teach yoga at night time and we gather around the lemon tree in the garden. Classes are subject to weather and will be posted on the easel in the lounge. All classes are by suggested donation.
Frequently we organize Salsa Classes at the House. Private Dance classes (various styles) can be arranged.
Few times a month dinner parties are planned, usually accompanied of local musicians, called bohemias. These are gatherings where street musicians come together to play latin classics.
KOMBUCHA & JUICING
We offer freshly pressed vegetable & fruit juices as well as home-grown kombucha for $8 a drink.
We are happy to do a load of laundry for you. Each load is $12.00.
We are two dogs and a human. I am Pippa, a 9-year-old golden retriever from the Culebra Island. My brother’s name is Malda; he is from Caguas, a city right on the outskirt of San Juan. Malda is 7 but he is very immature, people think he is still a puppy, he is very well behaved though….at least he tries. Then there is Sylvia, who is from San Juan. She is the one who put this amazing guesthouse together. Malda and I love living here, so many wonderful people come to stay at the Dreamcatcher house! Sylvia has put a lot of love into creating a peaceful place for friends and travelers. We have been doing this since April 2012 and we are getting pretty good at it! We are looking forward to meet and spend some time with you.

Memorable one night stay. Communication with the hosts was great, they were very quick to reply. I met Stephan at check in and he had a very kind/calm demeanor and did a good job of explaining the guest house. My room (Geisha room) was quite large had a bunch of unique touches that made it special. The part I enjoyed most is the common area, very funky decor and art books (ex: Salvador Dali). If you want to just chill out on vacation, stay here. And it's literally a 1-2 min walk from the beach. All this, and I only stayed one night! Wish I could have stayed longer.
Sylvia was a wonderful host. Our flight was delayed and we got in at 2 am - and she stayed up waiting for us. The entire house was booked but she still gave us individual attention. As for the house, its amazing!! The room/bathroom is modest but if you're traveling to Puerto Rico you shouldn't spend time inside anyway. There are outside showers, hammocks, coffee/tea and beautiful decor everywhere. Can't wait to go back!
Staying at the Dreamcatcher house was a great experience that added to the overall great time I had in San Juan. Sylvia makes you feel right at home from the moment she greets you, and she is extremely helpful with any question you may have. You will feel an amazing sense of community and positive vibes in the house.
The house is literally a two minute walk away from the beach. And Ocean Park Beach is predominantly a locals beach, so you won't be inundated with fellow tourists and you can learn about the local beach culture. Great restaurants and convenience stores are all within a few blocks away, which is really nice.
The outdoor shower is awesome and highly recommended. It will make you feel like a new person each time. And there was a community meal my last night there that was fantastic and brought everyone together.
Amazing house with amazing hosts. I'll make sure to stay here during my next return to San Juan.
A friend recommended staying at Dreamcatcher, and I could not be happier that she did. It was such a unique and relaxing place to stay. Sylvia and the other hosts were very nice and fun to talk to, and the location is wonderful (2 short blocks to the beach, safe, lots of restaurants nearby, and just a short taxi ride from the airport or to Old San Juan). You can't help but relax the moment you step inside.
This is a very convenient location for those staying in Ocean Park or near this area. You can easily get to the airport within minutes. The area has good eating options, including vegetarian. Sylvia and Stephan are friendly hosts with very approachable attitude. The house has plenty of garden plants, outdoor showers and common areas which allow for relaxing moments after a day at the beach. The atmosphere was serene. The rooms were nicely decorated with a touch of vintage elements. We enjoyed this location and is highly recommended.
The hosts, Sylvia and Stephan, are so personable right when we walked in. We quickly found out that this was no ordinary bed and breakfast guesthouse. The positive energy there is hard to describe in words, but I will say that I proposed to my new fiance there, which I think says a lot about how magical this place is. We really appreciated that the beach (a block away) was a local beach and not jam-packed with tourists; that there was plenty of amazing local restaurants within a walking distance (most of which were not super touristy); and that there was a walgreens conveniently a block away (we needed sunscreen!). The hosts also surprised us with a community dinner prepared by the hosts and guests themselves! We absolutely loved it here!
It's a stunning place, extremely close to the beach and everything else is within walking distance. Very friendly and accommodating hosts too. Great, safe neighborhood and as everyone else mentioned lots of bars and restaurants close by. Much better than the hotel zone!
This was the most amazing place I have ever stayed in my entire life and that says a lot! Sylvia's house is open with quiet hidden nooks to sit in and have a cup of tea with the sunlight streaming in and the sounds of frogs and birds in the background. Every inch of that place is filled with something beautiful. We stayed in the geisha room with 3 girls total and it was roomy and comfortable. We shared a bathroom with another room but sometimes snuck out to use the outdoor shower because it is amazing. You are literally two blocks from a beautiful uncrowded beach. You can do yoga under a lemon tree make a communal dinner and share in conversations with people from all over and all walks of life. I will be back soon!
Sylvia's house was absolutely beautiful. She put a lot if work & love into her home and it shows. Very quiet and serene if you want to relax and meet new people. And she makes a great veg juice!!
Amazing place! Sylvia was so nice and inviting. The place was so peaceful and relaxing, made me forget everything else around! Can't wait to spend more time there! Loved the dogs!
