Away from the beaten path. Relax in this calm, stylish, single-level 100m² villa with fully enclosed garden, central air-conditioning, wi-fi, EV charger and modern amenities. Whether you are here on a short relaxing trip or staying for longer, the house has been thoughtfully planned and designed to be a comfortable and welcoming home away from home. Come enjoy a refreshing dip in the private pool, a leisurely siesta in the garden, or al fresco dining on the patio in the evenings.

The space
Full of natural light, the house has a large living room with comfortable seating, a dedicated workspace, and a dinning area with a round extendable table and chairs. A large 12m² bedroom with a queen size bed, and a further 10m² bedroom with two single beds, either of which can be transformed into a queen size bed, means the house can easily accommodate up to 5 people plus an infant. A spacious modern shower room and a fully equipped open-style kitchen complete the space.

Outside, overlooking the 40m² swimming pool, is a large garden and patio with pergola, a dinning area, loungers, a relaxing sitting area, an external shower and a barbecue. Benefiting from lights that come on automatically at dusk, you will be able to relax and enjoy this space day and night.

The kitchen comes with a large fridge freezer, a vitroceramic 3 ring hob and an electric oven, a microwave, a slimline dishwasher and a large washing machine (up to 10kg) and dryer. There are 2 exterior clothes racks and an interior clothes airer should you prefer to dry your clothes naturally.

To make your stay more comfortable, bottled water, ice and a selection of provisions (olive oil, vinegar, salt, herbs and spices, sugar, sweetener, tea bags and coffee capsules) will be available on arrival. A kettle, toaster, coffee machines (choice of filter, French press, Italian and capsules), a blender, citric fruit juicer and a sandwich maker are provided as well. Should you require anything else feel free to ask as I am happy to help.

In addition to the welcome cooling central air-conditioning during the summer months, for the cooler winter months, there are radiators in all bedrooms, the living room, and a ladder radiator in the shower-room.

All bedroom windows have blinds and curtains, mosquito nets and exterior shutters. There are integrated USB chargers beside the beds, as well as USB sockets in the kitchen and the living room. Electric fans can be provided upon request.

The TV comes with Netflix and Amazon Prime, as well as Spanish channels and an array of international channels (All UK channels including all Sky channels, all French channels including Canal+, German, American, Portuguese, Italian etc.)

The internet connection is via fibre optic broadband. Wi-Fi speeds are around 400 Mbps and cabled speeds can be up to 1Gbps.

We are fortunate to enjoy dark nights free from light pollution, great for watching stars and meteor showers.

There is an EV charger at the front of the property should you want to charge your electric car.

Most of the electricity used, particularly in summer, is produced by our 16 panel PV system (with an output of 8.5Mwh/year). The water we use in the house and in the garden comes from a 80 metre deep well located on the plot.

Guests have access to the 100m² house itself, a 900m² private garden and 40m² private swimming pool which is maintained and available all year round.

The house has on site parking space for 2 cars on a shingled driveway. The EV charger is at the front of the property. For maximum comfort, the fully secured and lockable, automatic gate opens and closes via a remote.

A short walk away you can find a communal children's playground, a basketball court and a pétanque pitch. A tennis court is available by prior arrangement.

Other things to note
Luggage storage is available should you arrive early or depart late.

Nice, friendly, and well-behaved dogs are allowed by prior arrangement. Please advise if you need beds and bowls for them.
Dog owners are responsible for picking up their dog's mess in the garden. They are also responsible for any damage their dog(s) might do to the house, garden, furniture and contents. Please ensure that the garden is clean and cleared of any dog mess before your departure.

Sorry, due to allergies, we do not allow cats.

Please don't flush any toilet paper or any other products down the toilet, even if it states that it is flushable. This is important as the house sewage system works with a septic tank and there is a risk of flooding if toilet paper etc block the pipes.

I live next door and have 2 very friendly dogs of my own. They do not have access to the garden or the house, as there is a fence between the two plots.

Where you’ll be

The villa is situated in an "urbanización" (Sant Jordí d'Alfama - Sector Bosque). The main road is tarmaqued but the last 400m to the house is on a very good compacted earth/sand road. Having a car is strongly recommended as there is no public transport nearby.

We are five minutes away by car from Calafat, Tres Calas, and the secluded coves and beaches around L'Ametlla de Mar. There is a lovely restaurant (La Tasca de Sant Jordí), serving locally caught fish, and barbecued meat a short walk from the house.

Popular beaches such as Cala Sant Jordí, Cala Vidre, Cala Forn and Cala Lo Ribellet are just 3 km away, while L'Ametlla de Mar town centre, and train station, is just 10 minutes away by car.

The nearest supermarket, EuroSpar, which is open 7 days a week, is just a 5 minutes drive away in 3 Calas. Lidl and Mercadona which are also open 7 days a week, are 10 minutes away at the entrance to L'Ametlla de Mar.

There are great hiking routes with outstanding sea views along the GR-92 coastal hikking path and inland along olive groves and pine forests.

With several marinas nearby, you can rent a boat for the day or practice an array of water sports and activities, or even go karting at Calafat circuit, a short 5 minutes drive from the house.

Heading South, on the AP7 motorway, you can visit Tortosa and the nature reserve of the Delta del Ebre wetlands. Further South, Peníscola and its castle are just an hour away and Valencia is just 2 hours away.

To the North, exclusive Infinitum golf resort, Port Aventura amusement park and Aquapolis are just 35 minutes away by car, next to the larger tourist attractions of Salou and Cambrils. Tarragona and its Roman heritage, and Modernist Reus are 40 minutes away. The medieval town of Montblanc, an hour away, is well worth a visit and cosmopolitan Barcelona is just 90 minutes away by train or car.

Falset, Gratallops and the wine-producing Priorat region with its spectacular mountain ranges are just 50 minutes away heading West. Enjoy a lovely day out with stops at the villages of Miravet, with its templar castle, Rasquera, and Siurana, the last moor hold-out in Cataluña.

The nearest airport is 35 minutes away in Reus, while Barcelona airport is 90 minutes away. To the South, Castellón airport is 75 minutes away, while Valencia airport is 2 hours away.
