We loved our stay. Steelhead Ranch is beautiful, peaceful, and unique. Our cabin was modern and spacious with a large, comfortable bed and a cozy fireplace. Our hosts were friendly, generous, and helpful - they pointed us to a spectacular hike on the White Salmon River and offered us a bottle of local wine when we arrived. We loved interacting with the animals on the ranch. The alpacas are fun to watch, and the barn cats and Chevas the dog are sweet and happy to receive petting if you're an animal lover. This was a great place to stay for a relaxing weekend, and it would also be great as a base for outdoor adventures if you're after something more active than we were. We hope to visit again and bring friends to take over the other cabin.
The cabin was beautiful and relaxing. We were looking for a quiet spot to rest and this was perfect. The bed was comfortable, the fire romantic and the wooded view was lovely. We would come back in an instant. Thank you for sharing this treasure with us!
We had such a great time at the ranch. Our hosts were so welcoming and friendly! The place was very clean and new, just as pictured. We were also pleasantly surprised by the animals on the ranch, including one duck, two lovely cats, and one very sweet dog. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
The owner gave us easy directions find the property. We arrived late at night and found everything as was described. The property is incredible! The sound of the river combined with the wooded area and animals make this spot truly unique. The inside of the cabin exceeded expectations as well!
This cabin and Steelhead Ranch are great! I could not have enjoyed learning about (and hugging) the alpacas more. The other animals were a hoot and a half! It was an awesome overnight experience!
This is a great weekend getaway. We enjoyed meeting all the animals and the hosts were very friendly. We followed the advice of a previous reviewer and stayed more than one night and are so glad we did. The log cabin feels cozy and private. The location is great, with easy access to Mt Adams and the Gorge.
Matt & Micki were great hosts! They were extremely easy to coordinate our check in time with and were more than hospitable upon our arrival. Their ranch was absolutely beautiful and the cabin was everything we were hoping for. This environment made for an extremely comfortable and cozy weekend!
