The hosts were so gracious and communicative and also gave me privacy that I needed. If you want to experience being on a secluded farm near a beautiful river, this is the spot. The alpacas were so friggin cute :)

We had a great time at Matt and Micki's place! The house is big, confortable and is located in a beautiful place. Communication was easy and we loved meeting all the animals, specially the alpacas. We also spent some great time playing with the kittens and with Charley and Chevas, their adorable dogs! We had easy access to Mount Hood, Hood River and White Salmon, so I really recommend their place to anyone interested in exploring these areas!

Steelhead Ranch was such a relaxing place to stay, exactly what we needed. Micki was very welcoming and allowed us to use their firepit, even provided wood and smores fixings. The place itself is very quiet, calm and very well kept. Only stayed for a night but would definitely stay again.

Steelhead Ranch ~ Matt & Micki User ProfileSteelhead Ranch ~ Matt & Micki is a superhost.

We are a working suri alpaca ranch on the White Salmon River. We have 2 beautiful log cabin guest units, One unit has a king size log bed and the other has 2 queen size log beds. The units are completely separate from the house in a log cabin structure, they share a porch and a common wall... besides that they are completely separate units.
Please come join us for a night or two... meet our 40+ alpacas, very social barn kitties "FuzzBall" and "Katness", "Dexter" the duck and the other 9 ducks, 3 African grey geese, laying hens and livestock guard dog "Chevas", and the crazy 'fetching' German Shepherd puppy Charley...
We can introduce you to the area and tell you about great places to hike, bike, cross country ski, snow mobile or just relax with a beverage and good food.
