Romantic & sunny Venice Dorsoduro

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Sestiere Dorsoduro, Venice, Veneto 30123, Italy

Very romantic, sunny studio in the heart of Dorsoduro, very close to the Campo Santa Margherita: the center of the Venice student district. A/C , Internet Wi-Fi included

The Space

The studio has windows on three sides, a mezzanine with queen size bed, air conditioning, it is extremely pleasant, calm and with a character. I used to live there as a student. The studio has a private garden, wonderful for having breakfast or just a relaxed time at night.

The studio is an open space on two levels, very airy and sunny, as well as pleasant. The area is very lively: a student area with all the shops, restaurants and attractions. All amenities are in very close range: banks, market, bars, ATM machines, pharmacy.

Museums and tourist attractions nearby (Accademia, San Rocco, Zattere). Very nice walks in the area. Very well connected to public transport and very close (5/6 minutes on foot) to Piazzale Roma, 10/12 minutes to the train station)

  • Was great to stay at that place. It is central but quiet; placed in a lovely building with a beautiful backyard. Thanks Mark and Elisabeth!

  • Marc was very accomodating, service minded and quick to respond any queery before arrival. I was also allowed to check in way before stated check in time and was welcomed by his mother Elisabetta who in a gentle and warm way introduced me to the place. There was even breakfast in the fridge and a big bowl full of fresh fruit!
This bright, compact but airy studio is located on the top floor of a later added wing to an old palazzo facing a beautiful shared, peaceful and beautiful courtyard. Do not expect luxyry at this price but you definetly get your moneys worth and everything you need in a bohemian and very venetian setting. In the best sense of the word. Everything works very well, from kitchen to bathroom. Also the Wi-Fi worked fine for my needs. And you even get your own private garden!
It's a five to ten minute walk, depending if you’re on tourist or venetian walking speed, from Piazzale Roma (wich you will appreciate greatly if you arrive by bus from the airport) and just a bridge away from Campo Santa Margherita full of restaurants, bars, cafes, market stalls selling vegetables or fish and you have people, young and old; venetians, students from all over and children playing. Here’s where you can still hear venexiàn spoken between locals if you listen carefully. Enjoy all this with a Spritz at Caffè Rosso in the afternoon. Everything that you need is at hand; bakery, mini market and ATM etc. And easy access to the rest of the city on the vaporetto (or the traghetto just for rossing the Canal G) at San Tomà .
Ever since i studied architecture at the IUAV in the early 90s , this area of Venice has been my favourite part of town and in my book there could be no better place possible to start exploring La Serenissima than from here; Marc Reginault de la Mothe’s studio in Dorsoduro 3441.
I definately recommend this one and hope it will be free for my next visit!

  • very nice appartment, close to the train station and to campo st. margherita, which seems to be a a very lively plazza full of students, and late open restaurants.

  • My boyfriend and I stay in Venice was for 3 nights and 2 days at Romantic & sunny Venice Dorsoduro. The location was perfect as the flat was in a building with a shared private courtyard even though it was in a busy part of town, with easy access to all the areas we wanted to visit. The flat itself was small, but it fit us perfectly since we were out exploring the city most of the time. There was plenty of room for us to have our morning coffee before heading out for the day. The space is welcoming and unique in character. We would definitely recommend it to anyone with similar needs to us.
One element to be aware of, the wi-fi connection is not very good, at least while we were there. My advise would be to check with the owner before arriving about whether the connection has been fixed, and have a back-up plan if it's really important to have a reliable wi-fi connection while staying there.

  • Very comfy for 1, tight fit for 2. Nice location in student part of town near Campo S. Margherita. Great charm, windows, and ac. Student like conditions with well worn furniture and appliances, dishes, defunct CD player, funky shower etc. Beautiful setting in old courtyard.

  • Marc, and his parents ( Elisabeth and Michel), were extremely professional and the place is fantastic. Attractive, comfortable, and in a beautiful building.

A great location not far from Piazzale Roma and a bridge away from Campo Santa Margherita, which is full restaurants, cafes, and people, young and old. Everything that you need is close, from a grocery store to laundry and easy access to the rest of the city. Despite it being next to a busy Campo, this villa is tucked away off the street and wonderfully peaceful.

    Perfect.

I would absolutely stay here again.

  • Great place in a beautiful courtyard
