We are 5 blocks from the beach... only 3 blocks to restaurants and shops on Main Street... just a 20 minute walk to the famous 3rd Street Promenade and Santa Monica Pier... in a quiet safe neighborhood.

The space

The Pacific Ocean is only five blocks from this comfortable, well-appointed home. You can stop for a coffee, grab a bite, or visit the shops on Main Street on the way. The Third Street Promenade and world famous Santa Monica Pier are less than a mile away. In the other direction are the Venice Canals and also trendy Abbot Kinney Blvd, with eclectic stores, art galleries and more wonderful dining choices. Ten minutes walk and you are on the Venice Boardwalk.

The house is 1,100 square feet on one level. There is a King size bed in one bedroom and a Queen size memory foam bed in the other. In an adjoining side room there is a single bed for a kid, or a nap during the day.

The kitchen is fully equipped. Stock up on groceries, or get prepared food and specialty wines and beer at Whole Foods just a half-mile away.

There is a small deck for outdoor dining or morning coffee. We have cable TV, with HBO and Cinemax channels, and wireless internet for time spent at home.

There is a fantastic Farmer's Market 3 blocks away every Sunday and gourmet food trucks park there on Tuesday evenings, for an easy, local dinner option.
Main Street restaurants include coffee at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Starbucks or Urth Caffe. Find fine cuisine at Chinois on Main and Chaya Venice, or something less formal at Library Alehouse, Holy Guacamole, Panini Grill, Finn McCool’s, Wildflour Pizza, M Street Kitchen and La Vechia - to name a few.
This home is perfect if you are in LA for work or vacation. You can enjoy surfing, boogie boarding either down at Santa Monica Beach or at the Venice Beach breakwater; rollerblading or bike riding (rentals for both at the beach) on the bike path that winds along the beach from Pacific Palisades to Palos Verdes – especially great at sunset. Take a walk on the famous Venice Boardwalk.
Pacific Coast Highway and the 10 Freeway are nearby, so a drive to Malibu, coastal hikes or visits/meetings at Los Angeles destinations are easy.
This is a residential, quiet and safe neighborhood. My wife and I live right next door, so can help with your queries, and additional local info.

A dream location, charming house and gracious hosts. We especially loved being able to walk to the beach. It was the perfect place for our family's summer vacation.

This is a charming, clean & spacious, "vintage bungalow", walking distance to the beach, restaurants, farmer's market and boutiques. It's well equipped with everything you need for cooking and the beach and is nicely decorated. Just like the photos. However, be aware that there is only street parking which can be difficult, especially on a gorgeous weekend. And the house is on a busy street. You'll hear traffic in the front of the house, though the bedrooms in the back were quiet. It's residential and convenient - but "funky" -- not the upscale part of Santa Monica. We were concerned at first, but eventually fell in love with the house. Communication with Jake and Belinda was almost instant and much appreciated, as were the coffee and wine they left for us. A map orienting us to restaurants, grocery shopping, farmers markets, hiking, etc., would also have been welcome. Bottom line, this is not a luxury accommodation but it is comfortable and convenient to the west side, a good value for the money, and we would definitely go back.

This was our family's first time staying at an Airbnb. The experience could not have been any better! We had great communication with Jake and Belinda before, during and after our stay. The house was very tidy when we arrived and ready for our use. We were even greeted with a bottle of wine and coffee beans! So thoughtful :) We found parking within a block when we would come and go. The house and bedrooms were just as described on the Airbnb listing. Our family had plenty of room to spread out, and we appreciated the comfortable beds and pillows. There are SO many restaurants around to pick from within walking distance. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and Airbnb experience. Thank you!

We walked everywhere from this house -- to the pier and Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica and the other direction to Venice Beach. The walk is a very pleasant one along the beach. The house is a short drive to grocery stores and is also right off the freeway for sightseeing. Jake and Belinda are very pleasant and easy hosts.

Perfect location in Santa Monica! We spent a week in this cute cottage for spring break with our children and loved the location. The house is situated right in between Venice and Santa Monica Pier and close to the beach. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood away from all the busy hotel districts. We walked everywhere from the house...Beach, Santa Monica Pier, Venice, Main Street. There are many restaurants and shops right down the street. Our hosts were very attentive and helpful. They gave us some great recommendations for places to eat and explore. We loved our trip!

We live in a house just behind this one and are very familiar with the neighborhood. To us it is like living our lives on vacation. We love the beach and really enjoy spending days in our neighborhood without ever having to get in the car. Belinda and I are excited to help you enjoy this place as much as we do. Send us a message and let's get your good time started.
