I can only say good things about Vida Silvestre and Laury and her team. What you will get is as you see in the pictures, the space is great, including a pool and a barbecue, and you have Tulum´s beach across the road.
Thank you Laury, Oscar, Juan and Maluco for a great stay, we hope to come back!
Vida Silvestre is a great spot in Tulum. Pictures are an accurate representation of the villa, and location wise, the villa is positioned very well within the area. Laury was a welcoming host and even helped us book a tour of Sian Kaan. I would easily recommend this villa to any traveler.
Laury met us at the Villa and showed us to our accomodation and took the time to give us tips on beach access and local food. She showed us around the ground and was really nice. We felt that all the people working there were friendly and great people. The accommodation was beautiful and we loved grilling out by the pool.
Me and my boyfriend rented one of the villas for four days. We had a nice stay and were welcomed by Oscar when we got there. He was very friendly and showed us the place. We met Laury one day after our arrival. She gave us some god tips of what to do and where to eat in Tulum! Laury is very accommodating and friendly. The house was clean and inviting. The bed was nice and comfortable. We rented bikes for the hole stay which was much cheaper than retning somewhere else.
The house is not located at the beach but you could easily go there. Only a 3-5 minutes walk and you are there!
It got a little loud at night from the electric power station but nothing we could'nt deal with. If you are sensitive to sounds just bring earplugs!
We truly recommend Laury as host!
Laury se preocupó de todos los detalles. Mi hora de llegada, instalar una cuna para mi pequeña hija, darme la bienvenida e indicaciones. Las personas a cargo de vida silvestre también muy atentas y serviciales.
Vida Silvestre was perfect! The villa was clean and comfortable. Laury & Oscar were available and immensely helpful. There was some noise from the hotel generators, as other reviewers have mentioned, but it wasn't intrusive and seemed to disappear at night.
This was our first time to Tulum and Laury provided plenty of great tips. Simple, the seafood restaurant she pointed us to our first evening there, had delicious food and super friendly service! We ended up eating there twice and once in the breakfast/sandwich shop connected to the restaurant, Tulumski (inspired by the Big Lebowski!).
We also had dinner once and then returned for drinks at Mama Muu right next to Vida Silvestre. They have simple but yummy grilled food and an incredible selection of mezcal. The drinks we had at Mama Muu were the best we had on the whole trip (including the ones we had at the much-hyped Gitano. Those were good, too, but the place was a bit too fancy bro-ish for our taste. Mama Muu was way more chill!)
We didn't have a car, which for 5 days was no problem at all. We used USA Transfers to get from the airport to Tulum and back. Super easy! We took advantage of the bikes at VS (just $10 for the whole stay) and rode out to the big grocery store as well as to the Mayan ruins. We took a cab to the cenote Laury recommended, Cenote Cristal, and stopped off in the pueblo on the way back for coffee and waffle (Cafe Babel) then cabbed back to the beach. No problem!
What else? We hung out at the beach near Aura & also Las Ranitas. As others have mentioned, it wasn't a big deal to use their beach chairs. We just had to buy a couple of drinks and snacks which we would have wanted anyway! We also had drinks and the best ceviche of the trip at Be Tulum as well as delicious breakfast there on our last morning. And one last mezcal margarita!
We spent the whole time we were staying at Villa Silvestre talking about how we needed to come back with friends and stay for longer. And we will!!
