As I wrote in her own review perhaps I can only blame myself for being too open and trusting, with some guests. Too much of a positive guy to think badly of anyone. So much so that I even waived payment of their security deposit. However, regretfully, following this incident, I have to look into things very differently in future. Having given her and her guests the freedom of the house, and notwithstanding the fact that, under the listing they chose, was to stay in 'a private bedroom for three in a shared apartment' specifically mentions the areas accessible and what is available to guests, is clearly written and specified in our house policy, and which I hate to mention Judith could not be bothered to read let alone accept. (Mind you, her guests did and perfectly understood its contents). The incident of the mislaid money mentioned gives me great concern. To begin with the amount in question that was 'lost' is far off from the amount claimed by her guest which when questioned I was told that she had 150 (or perhaps 160) and she took out 50 or 60 from what she had to spend for the evening and left 100 behind which she did not find the next morning. The two other guests still residing here at the time, need I mention they both work in finance, left my apartment the following morning to return home after a six night holiday. Having felt so good about their stay, I gladly offered to give them a lift to the airport at 0430 in the morning. Being their last night in Malta, and a village feast in progress, I invited them both to dinner and eventually enjoy the venue around. So basically, these two guests were with me throughout their last night except for the early morning hours where everybody was at home. Judith and one of her guests reported that a 100 euros was missing out of the girl's handbag, the day after their arrival, however what I could not accept is that they blamed the previous guests for it, when I could vouch their whereabouts, hence I feel strongly that these funds were somehow misplaced. Referring to your last remark about the beach mattress (sun sponge), I offer my sincere apologies, I found it later. It had been misplaced .... like your money perhaps!!
