Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • We enjoyed our 2 day stay. The room was clean, beds comfy and bathrooms and shower sparkling clean. Variety of sourdough artisan breads and great eggs for breakfast. Rob provided explicit directions and clear info prior to our arrival. The best thing? Getting "kisses" from Pumpkin, his friendly, quiet and well behaved dog (I encouraged her...)

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Rob's house. It was great having access to the kitchen and everything was very comfortable. Rob was incredibly responsive and we look forward to coming back one day!

    October 2013
  • Everything was as described. Room was clean and comfortable as was the rest of the home. Quiet street with adequate off street parking. Rob was not there but his room mate Alex was. He was very pleasant.

    August 2013
  • Rob's house is the BEST! Great location and great little town.

    August 2013
  • Rob was great. Pumpkin is precious. So glad we stayed there!

    July 2013
  • Rob's directions are crystal clear, and he provides all you need so you can enjoy nearby Great Barrington, Lenox, and Stockbridge cultural activities (check out Naumskeag in Stockbridge, only minutes away). It was in the middle of a heat wave, so we stopped in the gem of a library down the street to cool off--nice place. I also suggest the Great Barrington Bagel Bakery, where I had the bagel-n'-schmear of my dreams.

    July 2013
  • This place worked well for me. Although Husatonic is rather sleepy it is nearby Great Barrington and Lenox, where my activities were centered. The kitchen was large, with washer/dryer right off of it. There was also a separate dining room, or you could eat at a counter in the kitchen.

    July 2013
  • Rob's mom graciously greeted us as Rob was not in town. We were pleased with the bedroom and the updated bathrooms. Everything was as portrayed in the description. We appreciated the wide variety of breakfast goodies that were available.

    July 2013
  • We didn't meet Rob the weekend we stayed at his home. That wasn't a problem because he emailed great instructions that answered all our questions. My spouse, Carolyn, wishes he had been there. His kitchen is stocked with stuff found only in the homes of great cooks. We recommend Rob's accomodation without reservation

    May 2013
  • We need a place for one night to sandwitch in between mid-week reservations in the area and a week at Justin Lake, Vermont. Rob's place was great, comfortable with style. I would have enjoyed spending more time there. Pumpkin the new puppy was an unexpected treat.

Solar Industry
It's not easy being green, but I try real hard! I play builder, and work as a Project Manager in the solar industry. both are a far stretch from my art school and teaching days, but I am totally passionate about my impact on the earth (but not to the point of preaching) . I really enjoy traveling with my partner and son. Love the outdoors, thus living in the beautiful Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. I need trees! I'm quiet, my son and I would say I'm a bit of a geek and happy about it. A vegetarian but not a preachy one, I made my choice others make theirs. I bike, hike and love the water.
