The Forest was originally established by William the Conquerer over a thousand years ago as his royal hunting ground and it has remained more or less the same since. It is one of the largest areas of undisturbed countryside left in Western Europe with loads of wildlife and, uniquely, grazing ponies and cattle. There is plenty to do and see locally and Adrian and Zofia are glad to recommend their favourites!
We have 2 dogs and a cat, not to mention the chickens at the end of the garden!
We love to make our guests feel really at home. We are easy going and friendly and look forward to hearing from you!
Zofia and Adrian were the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble, their local knowledge and help with planning walking routes was second to none. They even rang round some local pubs to find out if any were showing the 6 Nations rugby for us to watch during our stay which was much appreciated!!
Having never stayed in a B&B before I wasn't sure what to expect but Zofia and Adrian immediately made us feel relaxed and welcome, they were attentive but respected our privacy too.
Our room was very clean, comfortable and elegant. Zofia and Adrian's breakfasts were legendary, delicious home baked bread and fresh eggs from their own hens. The perfect fuel for a couple of long walks!!
We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend down in the New forest and will definitely stay with Adrian and Zofia again!
We spent a great weekend at the beautiful B&B from Zofia and Adrian. They were amazing hosts and they showed a genuine commitment to making our stay pleasurable and comfortable: picking us up at the train station, giving us a lift to local attractions or offering us mulled wine after a wet and cold day. Their Full English Breakfast was memorable and they had a wealth of advice about interesting walks in the neighbourhood. Hollycroft is perfectly located: you can find cosy pubs and good restaurants are at 10 minutes walking distance. This is the place where you can rest well and feel at home after a long walk. We would definitely recommend this fantastic B&B at the heart of New Forest!”
Perfect hosts in an absolutely perfect location. Zofia and Adrian were the kindest and most attentive hosts - picking us up from the station and giving us some great advice on where to walk and eat in the area. Their home is stunning and the bedroom is more than we hoped for - really comfy bed, warm and toasty room with a TV and all the extras you could need. The bathroom was great and the bath was very welcome after a long day of walking in the forest. Breakfast was delicious - fresh eggs from the hens in the garden with Adrian's delicious homemade bread really set us up for another day of walking. Their house is just a short walk from the pubs and restaurants of Brockenhurst. We found it very difficult to leave and we will definitely stay with Zofia & Adrian when we next visit the New Forest.
What a brilliant little trip! What could have been a disastrous getaway (getting lost in the forest after dark, bike tire punctures) was transformed into a wonderful and memorable weekend away mainly due to the warm hospitality and great recommendations of Adrian and Zofia at Hollycroft B&B. Thoroughly recommended, everything was perfect, we will definitely return!
A truly special home under the New Forest stars with really special people. Perfect location (even if you don't have a car), immaculate rooms, beautiful comme-il-faut breakfast (crisp in its freshness fruit salad with figs and grapes, great coffee, and the yellowest eggs from the garden chicken of course). At night, the house is so warm and quiet and if you're lucky - you will get a purring cat in your lap, too. What made this an unforgettable journey for us however were Zofia and Adrian. Former Londoners, they made us feel privileged by helping us just be present in the moment, and sharing some great conversations and laughs. I could go for a long time about all the acts of kindness they've shown (helping with directions and food places, driving us to the pub, lending wellies, taking us for a morning walk with the dogs, and bringing a forgotten toothbrush to the bus!!!!!) - but words are rather pale when you meet such great people and spirit. All 3 of us were so touched, and left with a big lump of warmth inside. Thank you so much Zofia and Adiran, best of luck and we will be back.
Adrian and Zofia were brilliant hosts - picking us up from the station, offering a whole wealth of advice about the local area, directing us towards the best walks and bike rides, and providing the best breakfast in The New Forest! They couldn't have been lovelier, or more generous. We had a fantastic weekend, and really enjoyed our holiday. This is the place to stay if you want to see the best of the New Forest and experience a top notch B&B.
Watch out AirBnb'ers because if you stay with Zofia and Adrian you may never want to leave!
The house is beautiful, the rooms are fantastic and the hosts are two of the most charming and accommodating people you are ever likely to come across. The breakfast was fit for royalty and the walk that Adrian planned out for us on Sunday morning was so perfect we even found some ceps as we walked through the New Forest.
WOW! What a stay - this should be the top of your list for any trip down to the New Forest!!
Adrian and Zophia were delightful hosts! They made sure we were happy and comfortable in our room (which was possibly the nicest room we've ever stayed in - so beautifully decorated, simple yet elegant, and so comfortable) and offered up loads of amazing advice on the best things to do in the New Forest. Breakfast with eggs from the backyard chickens is truly a treat. Adrian has wonderful stories from his time at sea, so make sure you request a few yarns before you leave!
Zofia and Adrian are excellent hosts! Their home is surrounded by a beautiful location. They offer an amazing breakfast and a really lovely room with a modern and clean bathroom. Fantastic spot for walks through the forrest or drives to the sea. Definitely recommended to anyone.
Fantastic place, friendly and welcoming hosts and one of the most amazing breakfast we have ever had in a bnb! I recommend this gem of a bnb, I know we are looking forward to going back again!
