Wonderful and cozy apartment with exposed beams in the historic center of Florence.
It can comfortably accommodate from two to seven people, located in a quiet street just 100m from the Old Palace and close to the main monuments of Florence.
The flat could host up to 7 people.
The flat is located in the city center of Florence, very close to Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, Ponte Vecchio and Santa Croce and all famous places and monuments.
Perfect for visiting Florence through short walks around the historic center of the city and, for those who love shopping, there are the atelier of the most famous Italian designers.

The apartment is located in the district of Santa Croce, a very central district from which you can make a great tour of the city.
The apartment is situated at a short distance from all major monuments such as the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, the Duomo, Santa Croce, Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery, all achievable without too much effort.
The district is very cute and quaint, nearby you can find typical restaurants, bars and clubs where you can tasting wine and local products.
Near the apartment there are also supermarkets and pharmacies just in case.
The apartment is located in the city center and well connected by bus line 23, both in the direction of Santa Maria Novella station or to the outskirts of the city depending on your needs.
The apartment is very central and well connected by public transport or by taxi.
Just 1.5 miles away there is the train and bus stations to move and make visits to the surrounding areas and the surrounding hills.
We were very happy with our stay and although all the negative points already mentioned from other visitors are true, like slow internet and restricted natural lighting, we did not care one bit as the location is so incredibly ideal. It is placed in an adorable alley and in the heart of the city but still away from the tourist madness. Mr. Ruggini was very kind to wait for us arriving quite late at night and still giving us great tips and a warm welcome.
I booked with David the morning of my visit to Florence with a lightning deal, however, after many attempts at contacting David through phone and email, he never responded and forced me to have to look elsewhere and go through the trouble of obtaining a refund.
Really sorry for this reservation, i didn't get the message from airbnb about the reservation so i didn't know about his reservation. i'm really sorry this is the first time in 3 years working with airbnb that happens so i wish it never happen again and i will try to do my best to make it.
Anyway we refund totally Jacob for his reservation.
Our stay at David's place was awesome. The apartment was incredibly spacious, clean, and a 5 - 10 minute walk to most major sights. David even left us a welcome care package with local cookies and chocolates. Trattoria Anita, on of the best restaurants in the city, is literally 20 yards from the front door. David was prompt to answer all our emails and his uncle Giovanni helped us check in. Overall this is one of the best if not the best airbnb experience we've had.
The location of this spacious historic apartment could not be more ideal - it's a 3 minute walk to the Ufizzi! It's centrally located and very close to all the main sites in historic Florence. It is simply appointed and served our needs well. The host was accommodating and let us store our bags on the day of check out. One thing to note is that the Wifi signal was weak and the connection was very slow.
A useful place. The unit is spacious and reasonably well equipped. It was fairly clean. It is, above all, incredibly well located. It is literally a 10 minute walk to any central Florence site you might want to visit. It is, however, up three flights of narrow stairs and the upper floor loft bedroom is a further two flights up. The brothers who manage the actual arrival and departure process, Giovanni and Ruggini, are extremely helpful and speak reasonable English. Security appears ok.
Area was quite, bed was high density foam and firmly comfortable. Bathroom ok.
One criticism in other reviews is the lack of natural light. It is true there are only two windows, one on each floor and both of which look into a narrow alley between buildings. The lower level had a breeze but the aroma was not pleasant when I was there, the typical light sewerage aroma common in Italy. I think the alley overlooks the backdoors of local restaurants. Ventilation upstairs was limited but there is an air-conditioning unit, which I didn’t need at that time of year. The roof of the bedroom level also has skylights, but the blinds on these are permanently closed. There is a church at the other end of the alley and the church bells were delightful.
If you are sleeping with the windows open, don’t forget that Florence has mosquitoes. Stop at the supermarket for insecticide spray.
Parking is not included and was 25euro per day at the time of writing. The brothers will book it for you, but you need to let them know before you get there. Mentioning it to David is not enough. Note carefully the ZTL driving restrictions in central Florence. If you use the parking garage it appears they look after ZTL permits for you.
Wifi available, but slow, especially in the evenings. Not always consistent enough to stream radio on apps. Ok for work email. There is no summary sheet in the apartment of good restaurants, lunch, bancomats, supermarkets etc. In central Florence these are not easy to find if you don’t know the area. Ask they guys, who are extremely helpful. I found their restaurant recommendations particularly good.
The apartment is in a fantastic location (ditto to great food options as mentioned in past reviews) The apartment is as pictured, BUT this photo was clearly taken in its best light. It is a lot darker and more dingy than pictured, the room upstairs has skylights, but blinds need to stay closed otherwise other apartments can see in! Apartment is definitely more for a large family or a group of boys traveling, less so for a couple- There are several extra beds/couches (couches are pretty dirty). My bad for not noticing that it has one bedroom, but is listed as sleeping 7. Everything else was spotless; Clean kitchen, bathroom, etc.
Davids Father and Uncle were very helpful in our check in and check out process (carried my luggage/called us a taxi). Also pointed out a few things that were broken-including the TV due to a storm a few weeks back (also different from the one in the picture-but we were here to travel not watch TV).
Apartment has a great (and new) washing machine.
We did have some issues with the reliability of the internet. It was slow and seemed like we could only be on on device at a time.
Ceiling has a few small leaks in the bedroom (rained heavily when we were there- but no big deal!)
The apartment also has an issue with mosquito's, my husband got several bites (even with the mosquito vape plugged in) We slept wearing bug spray.
Easy to communicate with, accomodating, great location, steps away from Duomo
