Very friendly host, beautiful well located apartment. Clean large and well decorated.
We will stay again;)
This apartment is in the very heart of the city center just a couple blocks from the Uffizi Museum and the Ponte Vecchio. We never met David, but his uncle and father were always available for any questions we had. Giovanni is a very nice man that explained everything about the apartment, gave us tips on where to go , and drove us to the airport on our last day. This flat is very large by all Florence standards. The pictures are accurate and if you use the pull-out couches, etc., it would accommodate 7 people! Apartment has all the amenities required such as a washer, iron, plates, dishes , etc.
This apartment was in a fabulous location. We also did not meet David but two other men who met us, gave us a wonderful tour as we walked to the flat - and even ran out to get us some milk and coffee for the morning. The apartment is huge - the location is really wonderful. The apartment doesn't have much privacy if that is what you need - and the only bathroom is upstairs in the loft. So, in the night, if someone sleeping downstairs has to go - they need to go upstairs (in the dark!) and try not to wake everyone. Also, the bedroom upstairs is a loft so no walls. This was fine for us - we traveled as a family and didn't need privacy. I will definitely rent this again.
I stayed in the apartment for over 5 weeks in Oct/Nov. David, his father and his uncle were always on hand to provide assistance when needed. The apartment is very spacious and location was perfect. Everything you need is within walking distance. In less than 5 mins, you can walk to Sante Croce, Ponte Vecchio or Piazza della Signoria. The apartment itself is very comfortable, it's split over 2 floors and has all the facilities you'll need for a short or long stay. WiFi worked best near the front door or on the bed upstairs. The only downside is the lack of natural light, as there is just a single window downstairs. I'd definitely recommend staying there.
First off, this apartment is HUGE and in a prime location. Walkable to anything you'd like to see in Florence, from the Duomo to the Uffizi to the great shopping areas. David was responsive from start to finish with great English in his emails. The key handover and instructions were handled by his dad and uncle, who are very sweet and helpful. They helped with our bags, showed us every part of the place, and even gave us dinner recommendations.
The place is minimally decorated, but the space is great - super high beamed ceilings with a huge upstairs bedroom. The one hiccup was that the toilet in the place is very old and weak - pretty stressful when it's the only bathroom available in the apartment!
The wifi worked pretty much the whole time, and the check-out process was very easy - Riccardo and Giovanni even called us a cab.
p.s. If you're looking for a fun activity, I'd highly recommend checking out Walkabout Florence, a tour company just a couple doors down from the apartment. They arrange Vespa and Fiat tours to go to the most scenic parts outside of Florence. A great time!
This apartment is exactly what it says it is...big, clean, central to everything. We were very comfortable for the three nights we stayed in Florence. David was responsive when making the reservations and planning our arrival. His father and uncle checked us in...we arrived a bit earlier than expected, and they were still in the process of cleaning the apartment, so we left our luggage and went to explore. David's dad told us about a nearby grocery, where we picked up some coffee and such to make the next morning, as well as recommended a nearby delicious pizza place to grab a bite for lunch! The neighborhood is very safe and easy to get around. Checkout was easy...we just left our keys and caught a bus to the train station. Never needed a cab because the apartment is so centrally located.
The apartment was in a central location. Also, the apartment was clean and organized. We want to indicate that they were very nice and courteous. We will Recommend about this apartment
Beautiful apartment in a very convenient location, close to everything. Enjoyed it very much. Thank you!
Can't say enough about the location of the apartment. It really was convenient to get to all of the major sites around the city. While being immersed in the neighborhood you're on a small street away from the crowds and traffic.
The place is as the photos show. Large and roomy, can really spread out. All of the basic needs met.
We were met at the apartment on time by Riccardo and Giovanni who enthusiastically briefed us on all the particulars and gave us their contact info if we had any needs. Couldn't have asked for nicer people.
Absolutely fantastic stay in Florence. Apartment is 2 mins walk to Uffizi gallery and about 10 mins to David museum. Plenty of good restaurants and bars nearby. Apartment was 5* luxury for two people with good shower and washing machine which was lovely to reset in the middle of our trip. Hosts David and his brother were wonderful even helping my wife with her bags up the stairs. They assisted us with car parking and were very patient even though I had some troubles finding the correct meeting spot. Apartments and hosts like this are why airbnb is a fantastic holiday opportunity.
