You will find this location very convenient, 2 blocks from Main St. and easy access to shopping, Bunch of Grapes bookstore, waterfront Black Dog restaurant including Blue Canoe and others. Mansion House nearby.
The home is located near Historic Williams St. and Owen Park. A very pretty and quiet location.

Lovely host and great stay. Mary was warm, accommodating and respectful. Room was comfortable and bright. Rustic and inviting. I had a wonderful stay.
Mary has a lovely house. We were in the master bedroom, which is on the top floor. The ground floor had a lived-in feel, as one would expect from a private residence. The top floor was very clean and inviting. Mary herself was very accommodating, and we had no issues getting settled in. The house is very close to the Vineyard Haven downtown area. For those who haven't been to the island, it's a bit smaller than Oak Bluffs and felt a bit more authentic since there were less tourists. We'd definitely recommend.
Nice little village, short walk to house from ferry. However, this is a 'dry' town with limited options for food. If were going to the island again I would ferry to Oak Bluffs & stay there. Very pretty house, shabby chic I would say. Very untidy, lived in look. The bed linen & bathroom were clean & the outdoor shower fantastic (kitchen not as clean, we are very fussy, so we did not avail of it). Mary was a nice host & left us to our own devices. Overall good experience.
We stayed with Mary in Vineyard Haven for one night. We arrived early and she was gracious to let us leave our bags and enjoy the home. We were out exploring all day and didn't come back until late that night, but she provided us with some great recommendations for dinner in Oak Bluffs as most restaurants were closed when we came back. The room is tastefully decorated and the bed is super comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying with Mary!
Pros: convenient location, host is very hands-off (might be a con for others, great for me), sheets were fresh and clean, outside shower was cool, spacious room (single bed).
Cons: definitely cluttered like other reviewers mentioned, super super hot especially at night (visited first weekend of September), street was very loud, the house smelled musty or sour.
I wasn't able to Stay due to a family emergency, but Mary was completely understanding and reached out to me to check that everything was ok. I definitely plan on trying to schedule the trip again.
