Mary's place was in a great location, very close to the ferry and all the cute restaurants and shops. The room we stayed in was very clean and the entire house had a lot of character. There was some miscommunication upon our arrival. I had informed Mary the night before of when we would be arriving, but when We got to the house she was not home and appeared to have forgotten that we were coming. Mary appeared to have a lot on her plate, but overall was sweet and kind.
Mary is a very nice woman and made us feel very welcome. Wonderful house in a great location. Definitely coming back. Thanks, Mary!
Mary S. bnb made me feel like a "new" women after spending only a glorious week of eco friendly living in an insecure life with the help of the other guests, I might add.
The home was so eclectic that it gave me a warm sense about myself. At times, I felt that my mother, whom died tragically , could have lived here in spirit.
The room met all expectations, which to know me, is saying a lot.
And sharing the bathroom wasn't even a problem because the other guests that were approved were respectful.
Mary opened her home just enough to make one feel comfortable, extended herself to make a guest feel like they could afford a question or bend a rule slightly and a hear to policy so there was structure.
The house itself is beautiful. There is no photo online but it reminds me of a small white chapel from the outside and is beautifully maintained.
The proximity to town was perfect that walking was possible, even at night alone.
I'm so excited that I'm fortunate enough that I actually booked another trip in advance to return to spend July 4th holiday on the island and will be staying at Mary's.
***** to Mary and her home.
Marry was very welcoming. She made us feel at home immediately. The bedroom we had was clean and large; the bed was very comfy.
The house is located in a very quiet neighbourhood of Vineyard Haven and is easy to find.
Easy access to the city center and in particular the port and bus station.
We enjoyed staying in the house but it was somewhat massy. The room did not have a lock which caused some insecurity. Mary is polite but we miscommunicated on usage of kitchen equipment at first when we arrived. Overall not a bad experience. I would recommend the place for those who travel lots but do not have a large budget.
