Located in Montreal's Little Italy, one block west of St Laurent Blvd, the apartment features an open fully equipped kitchen and big sunny yard with organic garden, bedroom and office room, terrace and BBQ, washing machine/dryer and dishwasher, internet and phone included. Walking distance from Jean-Talon farmers market, Milano - a great Italian grocery store, as well as Italian coffee shops and restaurants, a liquor store, a big park (where you can watch the sunset by a pond) and subway stations (downtown in 15 min).

At the Jean-Talon market (5-minute walk), you'll find plenty of local products, fruit and vegetables stalls, fish and butcher's shops, bread and pastry shops, cheese stores and more.

Steps from the 55 bus, which takes you right downtown or to Old Montreal in 15 min, and a BIXI station (public bike system).
De Castelnau subway station is 5 min away (blue line). Jean-Talon subway station (orange line) station is less than 10 min away and will take you downtown in 10-15 min.

The kitchen cupboards are filled with spices of all kind as well as appliances and every pots and pans needed to cook up a storm.
Easy to understand why we chose to live in this lovely neighborhood!

In the summer and early fall, you’ll also enjoy eating plenty of fruits and vegetables from the big garden such as raspberries, tomatoes, zucchinis, ground cherries, arugula, lettuce, basil and other fine herbs!

P.S. The extra bed is an inflatable mattress. Please advise if needed.

  • Diane was a very gracious and generous host. She welcomed us into her home, sharing very helpful tips about the city and equipping us with maps and info to help make our stay in Montreal even more wonderful. Her home was bright, lovely, and located in a great neighborhood. Plus, the garden was the perfect setting for a morning coffee and a Montreal bagel before a day spent exploring. I highly recommend Diane and Derek's digs!

  • Our stay in Diane and Derek's home was fantastic! The two of them welcomed us into their place with a big smile and excitement. They were very informative about the area and gave us cute little places to go and have lunch, coffee and drinks. Their place was amazing, clean, comfy and we felt very much at home during our stay. Their vegetable and fuite garden was delicious, especially the tomatos and strawberries. We definitely recommend Diane and Derek's place if you are looking for a authentic Montreal stay.

  • We had a fantastic week in their apartment. It was so close to Little Italy and Jean Talon market that we could walk everywhere. So much fresh food from local farmers, a fantastic patisserie with tasty croissants, and so many restaurants. They had a wonderful garden (unbelievable size in the heart of the city) that was nice to have breakfast in front of on the back deck everyday. Diane was so sweet to leave a warm message and make us feel like we were staying at a friends home. We hope to return there again for a stay in Montreal!

We like to travel around for outdoor adventures! This profile picture was taken this past July in Gros Morne National Park backcountry, in Newfoundland. Beautiful place. Myself, Diane, love to cook. As a side business, I started a fine maple caramel spread company. Derek is a part time folk musician and a part time nurse.
