  • Sophie is quite a nice person. Unfortunately we did not have a very good stay.
First of all you need to be aware that the two bedrooms that we were staying in are not clearly pictured in the description. All the pictures show more or less the space of Sophie and her family.
The bathroom is nice but since it is in a room adjacent to their living room without a wall, you do not have any privacy besides a heavy curtain. The two bedrooms are also open. You basically hear everything. Sophie has a nice seven year old son, therefore you might not have quiet mornings.
The beds are also quite hard and uncomfortable.
For such a high price per night we expected more. Moreover: one night when we arrived there was a guy suddenly looking through our stuff or sleeping in our bed. We weren't sure, but it turned out that he was a new guest who stayed first on the couch until we were leaving. Why he slept in one of our beds while we were gone was quite disturbing.

In conclusion, the description is a little misleading. Sophie was a very nice host none the less, but for that price we were expecting more.

  • Look carefully at the pictures and you will not be deceived: it was exactly what we were expecting, an incredible place! If we had been looking for a cold room like in any hotel, we wouldn't have picked up that place.
However incredible, the place is still very quiet and calm.
Besides, Sophie has been extensively welcoming and kind, and her son contributes to the 'at-home' atmosphere.
If we have another opportunity, we will go there again.

  • Do youself a favor take another place. The pictures don't show what is realy going on there. The "place" has no windows at all, very little light, all of the "rooms" are on galeries all around the place, no privecy at all! The shower in the room doesent work as well as u would want, there is a cat. Her studio is there also. It is not an apartment. It's not even a loft it's like a commercial space. I icould not stay there for even one night. I had a lot of problems with thus person and this place, don't let it happen to u. And it's dirty also.

  • I would recommend staying in Sophie's beautiful loft to anyone who appreciates ambience and creativity over the sterile functionality of modern hotels/hostels. She is well served by several metro lines and lots of great boulangeries etc in the neighbourhood, and the service was relaxed and professional.

    Merci beaucoup!

  • Sophie and her other flat mates were very friendly and warm. They went out of their way to be helpful. The place is a little rough, reminded me of my undergrad days. But the company was very nice.

  • Totally misleading description of the advertised accommodation. There is no private room in the loft, only bunk beds separated by thin bad quality wood partitions, there is no private bathroom, only a tub on the side of the leaving-room separated from the rest of the living area by a curtain, there is only one toilet far away from where we were sleeping. In order to go to the toilet we had to cross the whole leaving space and the kitchen where other people where eating and smoking till late. The so-called bedroom has no windows, is very tiny and the access to the bed is by a terrible stair not made for the purpose because it hurts when you climb on it bare feet as one does in order to go to bed. We couldn't sleep the whole night because the music played next to our bed in another pen-like bedroom. On top of all this, the floors made of melamine were dirty, the so-called 'exceptional' vintage furniture has holes in the upholstery or is covered in sheets, while the rest is just a collection of pieces not rare at all. We booked for four nights but left after our first night, because we found it was unfit for living. Sophie, the owner. seems not to realise that such a place, which she values so much, in not a proper offer for accommodation. The advert has no relation whatsoever with the reality of the place.

  • Sophie is a great host! When we arrived she welcomed us with tea and pastries and then gave us advice on what to do and see. The loft is super clean and in a perfect location. Short walk to the Metro, some great boulangeries and the Père Lachaise Cemetery. Definitely hope to stay there again if I go back to Paris.

    Thanks again Sophie!
