Cozy room in Central Amsterdam

Apartment - Private room · Nassaukade, Amsterdam, North Holland 1052, Netherlands

The Space

I'm listing a light, comfortable bedroom in a shared apartment in a historical house on Nassaukade (canal with boat rental across the street)! The appartment is on the edge of Jordaan area, 5 minutes by bicycle from Central Station and Leidseplein. The kitchen was recently renovated, and there are a bathtub and separate shower for your enjoyment.

Your future room (16 m2) is furnished with a king size bed, an open wardrobe for your use, seating niche at the window, and dining table for two. There are two large windows. The house is adjacent to a luscious park on one side, and one of the main Amsterdam canals on the other. There's an excellent boat rental right across the street. If you are lucky in fact, you might be able to hitch a ride on my private boat.

The house is on the edge of Jordaan neighborhood, home to Amsterdam's most picturesque canals, mouth-watering food shops, and many historical sights.

Jessica and have hosted 40+ couch surfers and AirBnB guests, so we're experienced hosts and will do what we can to make sure you have the best possible stay in Amsterdam. If you want to experience the city from the perspective of a local, Jess and I have a good handle on what's going on, and may be able to take you along to parties, gallery openings, and other events, if we're going anywhere (if we're not too busy).

We both work long hours, so during the day you will have the apartment to yourself.

  • My stay with Caspar and Jessica was such a great way to end a month of traveling. They were incredibly warm and welcoming and I felt like their home was my home. (especially since we had made such last minute plans!) Their place is in an ideal location, away from all the craziness of tourists but easy to get anywhere. My room was big and full of everything I needed. I would absolutely recommend their space!!

  • Our stay was amazing. The room is comfortable and nice. Caspar left us all the information needed to get around in the city and it was soool helpful! The best thing about it is the location since it is close to everything. I would definetly do it again!!

  • Large, clean, comfortable and cozy room in a wonderful neighborhood. We loved the Jordaan - walking distance to the center (or easy to take public transportation if you prefer), and close to many bars, restaurants and sights. We preferred not to be in the heart of the touristy area, so the location was perfect. Casper was friendly and helpful; a great place to stay in Amsterdam!

  • I spent a week in a room of the apartment of Caspar and Jessica and found them to be extremely wonderful hosts, they definitely make you feel at home offering lovely hot cups of ginger tea when I came home cold and tired from sightseeing. The apartment is a great size and well located approx a 10 min walk to the all the major sites such as the Leidesplein, the Rykesmuseum and Anne Frank House. The number 10 tram (across the street) takes you there if you don’t want to walk. It is also a very cheap and short bus ride (stop right across the street) to the Centraal Station for flight arrival and departure. It certainly was a lovely week and I really appreciated the recommendations and chats with Caspar and Jessica….I would definitely recommend a stay there.

  • Staying with Caspar and Jessica was a pleasant experience. Even though the appartment is very tiny, we felt comfortable and relaxed. The guest room is very spacious, nicely furnished and lighted. Caspar told us that we can use everything, which was very nice of him even though we preferred to eat out.
The location of the appartment has been great for walking to Yordaan or using public transportation. The canal and park near the house were a very welcoming and pacifying views.

  • Spacious room(by European standards!) with 2 windows opposite a canal. Easy to find and right next to a bus/tram stop. Caspar & Jessica are very helpful, friendly guests and even helped us wash some of our clothes! Highly recommended :)

  • This was my first experience with Airbnb and it went great! Casper was really welcoming and I loved the detailed instructions/recommendations that he sent me. Everything was crystal clear! Only minor thing is that the bed creaks but i slept fine anyways. He also provided maps and a really great guidebook for us to use. Really helped, Thank you!
