It is on the ground floor of a traditional Victorian tenement in the popular area of Hillside, just east of the city centre. It is in easy walking distance of all major tourist attractions, museums and galleries, and only a 10 minute walk from Princes Street. Cafe Renroc, a good all day cafe, is only a few doors away. Valvona and Crolla, the renowned delicatessen, is a 5 minute walk, as are The Playhouse Theatre, the Omni Centre (cinema and leisure complex) and a wide range of restaurants, bars, boutiques and local food shops. The best views of Edinburgh can be experienced from the top of nearby Calton Hill, and the foot of Arthur's Seat is about a 25 minute walk away - don't forget to bring good walking shoes!
The apartment is furnished simply and comfortably and retains many original features such as decorative cornicework and working shutters. There are stripped floorboards throughout. A few steps lead up from street level to the front door. Off the hallway is a sunny sitting room with bay window. The large eat-in kitchen is well equipped with oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave and washing machine, as well as a generous selection of crockery, cutlery, glass and cookware, and the refectory style table seats 10 people.
Bedroom 1: 1 double bed
The master bedroom is situated to the rear of the property and is furnished with a double bed, antique wardrobe and chest of drawers.
Bedroom 2: 2 single beds
A sunny second bedroom with Arts and Crafts furniture has twin beds.
Bedroom 3: 1 single bed
There is a small simply styled third bedroom with a single bed.
Box bedroom: 1 single bed
Off the sitting room is a box bedroom with a further single bed.
A mirrored bathroom with bath, wash hand basin and WC completes the accomodation.
WiFi, TV, VCR, DVD and Freeview are all provided, as is all bedding and towels. A travel cot and high chair may be available on request.
Parking: metered on-street parking 8.30am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday, free at all other times
We spend as much time as we can in the apartment when we are not working, so please respect our home as you would do your own, and we ask you to respect the following:

Great location and apt has everything you could need. Was perfect staying with our 10 month old and susie had a high chair and travel cot arranged for us.
Had a really fantastic weekend in Edinburugh.
A really great city to visit, and 73 Montgomery Street was a perfect base for this.

We had a lovely time staying in this apartment. All communication was prompt and helpful. There was plenty of space for our 6 guests including a large living room and eat in kitchen. We ended us spending most of our time in the kitchen as it was well laid out for eating, cooking and chatting and was equipped with everything you could need.
The apartment is located conveniently for Waverly Station, Princes Street and the tram from the airport with them all being only a short walk away. The castle is still within waking distance but there is quite a hill to get there! There is also a very convenient oddbins, Tesco and Indian takeaway nearby.
We had a lovely time and wouldn't hesitate coming back to stay.
My family of five stayed at this lovely apartment. We truly enjoyed the spacious home especially the big kitchen table where the whole family can get together. My brother and sister in law have an 8 years old boy, the single bedroom he stayed is just next to the mater suites which makes it really convenient. We love the artistic feel of the apartment.
The checked in was very easy, we arrived late at night after a long day travel, there were some beautiful flowers and Scottish shortbread on the kitchen table which made us felt very welcoming!

The apartment was fabulous, just right for a relaxing weekend, plenty of bedrooms and a large kitchen perfect for lazing around over a cup of tea and toast. We were welcomed to the apartment by our host who had thoughtfully provided some local shortbread. Flat was well maintained, in a great central location and came supplied with things that made it very welcoming - towels, milk, toilet roll etc. Would definitely recommend.
Hello! Newly returned from a weekend trip with 4 friends (celebrating our 40'ths) to Susie's flat. We loved the central location, the huge kitchen and living room (best for blethering over cuppas/prosecco), the special touches like flowers and shortbread, and the helpfulness of our local contact Lottie (fitting new wifi infinity). Would come back again!
Great spacious flat in very central location. Enough beds for mum and dad as well as four children. Beds are AWESOME! Met personally at flat at time advised and given tour of facilities. Nice touches like welcome shortbread biscuits and fresh flowers. Lounge very comfortable with good tellie. Would definitely come back and strongly recommend to other families with lots of kids needing own beds!
