The Space

Welcome to our house on the sunny hills of Magagnosc !
We have a house just outside Grasse where we can offer accommodation in three self contained apartments. Two one bedroom apartments and one two bedroom apartment.
This one is named Le Cerisier ( Cherry tree)
The apartment offers one bedroom with double bed, a second bedroom with two single beds, living, kitchen, bathroom and separate toilets.

They all have private balconies with a wonderful view down to the sea (Cannes/Mandelieu/Theoule), the Esterel mountains and the Tanneron forest, the latter well known for its Mimosa.
As for the apartments, they have their private entry, fully furnished and equipped, free wifi, television, washing machines. I provide sheets and towels, so you can just drop your suitcase and start the holidays immediately upon arrival.

Little suggestion, nothing to do about our place, but I see that guests coming from overseas, tend to be upgraded with huge cars with manual gearshift, if not familiar with manual gears, pls ask for a smaller and automatic car, as roads are narrow and steep in this area.

Magagnosc is a small hamlet, or rather several small hamlets plus a very large residential area. 4 km to Grasse, 35 km to Nice and 20 km to Cannes. Closest skiing resort is Gréolieres, around 45 minutes drive. Lots of typical Provencal villages aswell : Biot, Valbonne, Mougins, Gourdon, Saint Paul de Vence to name a few.
As we are so close to everything it is just a question of time what you will be able to do.
Golfing, hiking, biking, beach, shopping…………….
You will find maps, guides and information in your apartment and the tourist office of Grasse also have a very complete website. And we’ve lived here for 16 years and are more than happy to give you some ideas of what to do.
A MUST while in Grasse is of course the Perfume museums, my favourites are the International Perfume Museum which was recently renovated, then the Fragonard museum which offers free guided tours, both of these are situated in the Centre of Grasse. Less known by visitors is the beautiful Cathedral of Grasse, worth a visit, and if you come in July and August you can enjoy a perfumed siesta in the centre of town. Also the little streets with lots of nice shops and restaurants is worth a visit, will give you the names of our favorites once you get here.
If travelling with children, I would also recommend going to Monaco and visit the Oceanographic Museum, Antibes with its well known Marineland, or why not go to the lake of Saint Cassien and rent a pedalboat or canoe.
See you soon!

Guest Access

Our guests have access to the pool during summer season, parking and their private balcony and apt. We can unfortunately not accept family and friends of our guests by the pool.

Interaction with Guests

I usually welcome my guests personally and very happy to answer all questions you may have, but leave you alone during your stay, you will always know where and how to reach me if needed.

The Neighborhood

Very quiet and safe neighbourhood. You need to love walking if you want to go to bakery shop and get the fresh croissants in the morning, (1,2 km so not too far) this distance also applies for restaurants and bars, there is a Pizza shack just up the road. Tel nr for restaurants and take away available n apartments.

Getting Around

From Nice airport by car, follow the D2085
By bus, bus nr 500 Nice Grasse, bus stop Les Chauves 200 m from apartment.
By Train: Cannes Grasse, from there shuttle to bus station and continue by bus nr 511 or 500 to bus stop named Les Chauves.

Other Things to Note

Grasse est idéal pour ceux d'entre vous qui aime le sport à l'éxtérieur:course à pied, randonnés, parapente, cyclisme, golf

House Rules
Check-in time is 3PM - 7PM.

First of all, feel at home, as we have three apartments and everyone should be able to enjoy their stay, just a few rules so that everything is clear:
Pls do not make a lot of noise, we live in a residential area with people working, so pls respect especially late at night. Noise meaning loud music, screaming, not normal talking.
Do not park anywhere else than on our parking, you can load and unload outside apartments
Do not hang clothing and towels on balcony rack, there is a rack for this purpose on the inside of balcony, also if you have to shake off sand, do that on the entrance side of the apartment, not out from balcony, it may end up in our supper.
Garbage is to be kept inside apartment until you throw it in the bins situated on your left hand walking out from our house, do not leave outside door as cats and dogs can come and tear them open.
Smoking is permitted outside, on balcony, for everyones comfort and security reasons we kindly ask you not to smoke inside apartment, if not disturbing anyone (you are alone by the pool) it is also permitted by pool.
Pool: open for our guests from 9am to 6pm from Monday to Friday, we reserve the right to deny access if we have to treat the water to ensure its quality. Children must be accompanied by an adult who can swim. Do not “reserve” sun chairs by laying towels on them if not by the pool. (sounds a bit strikt but worked as tourist guide in big resorts where people went out at 7 to reserve sun chairs, went back to bed or had breakfast and came back by 10, never happened at my place so maybe I should remove this rule)

Hello, originally from Norway, I settled down in the South of France after several years abroad around Europe.

We are a Family of three people: Fred, me and Axelle(our 17 year old daughter) + Shana (the dog) and Mina ( the cat). We live downstairs from the rental apartments, but each apt has their independent entrance.

I just love this area we live in and that is why I would like to share it, couldn't really think of a better place, we have everyting: sea, mountains, small villages, big cities, international airport, country side.......
Been here for 19 years and and happy to share ideas for visiting.

Hope to see you soon!
