:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Welcome... to my retro pad in world-famous Williamsburg, Brooklyn! Here's what I have in store for you and all your lodging needs...

:::BEDROOM:::
One clean, mid-sized, quiet, private bedroom... newly renovated... high ceilings, hardwood floor, 1 large window. Room is furnished with a full-sized bed, desk, chair, dresser, night stand, shelving unit, and a bar for hanging clothes (closet space available, if needed). Fresh, clean towels and linens are provided. Air conditioning and heat are included.

:::MAIN SPACE:::
The loft is unique, spacious, and comfortable... 1000 sq. ft. with 2 bedrooms I built a while back... it's kept clean and uncluttered... the decor is vintage... mostly 50's and 60's with the center-piece (email hidden)re for a martini? You shall have this thing you speak of.
The fully equipped kitchen is available to you... refrigerator, gas stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, juicer, and beyond. The bathroom is shared.

:::BUILDING:::
The building is safe and clean with an elevator and security cameras... and has an enormous roof-deck with incredible views of most of Manhattan (I have folding lounge chairs for all your roof excursions). There's laundry in the building (plus a 24 hour laundromat a block away). There's a gym in the basement (membership required... day passes available at $10/day)

Also... for your edification... the building is an old converted industrial building with finished lofts. Word on the street tells me the following:
1893... it was The I.S. Remson Manufacturing Company... "the largest carriage, harness, and horse goods emporium in the world" (there's just no good reason they would ever lie about a thing like that)
1908... The I.S. Remson Manufacturing Company (still into carriages, harness, horse goods)... also got into the car game... they were the Brooklyn dealership for a make called the Locomobile... the most expensive car in America at the time... they also had a garage/showroom over on Bedford.
1921... it was the Interstate Corrugated Box Company
1931... it was the Ainslie Knitting Machine Company

:::LOCATION:::
Location... location... location! The loft is a block and a half from the Grand St. stop on the "L" train... also close to the 3rd stop (Graham Ave.) which is just a few steps further away...either way the subway will get you to the East Village or Union Square in 10-15 minutes. Street parking is relatively easy.
The neighborhood is safe, friendly, and lively with lots of restaurants, bars, cafes, coffee shops, retail shops, and music venues. There'(email hidden) organic super market around the corner... there's a 24-hour deli on the corner.

:::AMENITIES:::
-Free WiFi
-Concept II rowing machine
-Hair dryer

  • I had a great stay at Pete's place. The apartment was clean, quiet, and very cool considering the hot weather. Pete was a perfect host - helpful and friendly when you wanted to talk, but never over-bearing. Comfortable bed, good shower, AWESOME roof space and very convenient location. I highly recommend staying at Pete's and will hope to do so again in the future!

  • First of all, for me it was a perfect place to stay in NY. I realized recently that it's not rare you book a room on airbnb, but when you arrive there's no one in a whole apartment and you are all alone in a new city, in a new place. It might be a bonus, but sometimes you can't feel safe at 100%. At Pete's apt I felt more than safe, Pete is almost always at home and there are also other travelers in another room. Apartment itself is beautiful, clean and comfy, location is perfect (in a nice area and close to subway). I would stay here again!

  • Pete's place is a fantastic loft: ' spacious and decorated in style. The loft had a good situation: near to the L-line , connecting you directory with Manhatton. The neighbourhood is hip:lot of restaurants and good (coffee)bars.... The private sleepingroom has enough space... Peter is a correct person who is helping where possible. I would recommend this place to anyone.

  • Great room and apartment. Very tidy, clean, and comfortable. In a fantastic location near the Metro, and a quick walk to nice restaurants and bars in Williamsburg. I felt that I had my own privacy, although Pete was on hand to help me with directions when I needed them. I recommend.

  • This was my second time to stay at Pete’s place. Just like the first time, I had a satisfying eight days. He was hospitable without being overbearing. He was professional and conscientious, ever willing to listen to my requests, accommodate my needs, and facilitate my convenience. He was always available if I had questions but otherwise left me pretty much alone, respecting my privacy. In other words, he was the ideal host.
    Of particular note is that, as an international guest, I felt at home since Pete is laid-back, easy-going, and down-to-earth. As he is quite experienced in accommodating international visitors, travelers from around the world would feel comfortable in his apartment.
    Pete lays down a clear set of rules around the house and enforces them in a fair and open manner so everyone would have a pleasant stay. Indeed, he kept the spacious, retro-style apartment always clean and neat.

  • I stayed at Pete's place for six days. It's a perfect space. Close to the subway. Great coffee, burgers, and bars around. Didn't spend too much time in the apartment (why go to New York and stay in your room?) but it was was clean, quiet and comfortable. The whole apartment was cool and organized. Pete is a great host. Easy to talk to and really knows the neighborhood. He's been there for years! He's been doing Airbnb for a while too so everything seemed streamlined and comfortable.

    I really appreciated the locks on the bedroom door, not that I really felt unsafe, just for that piece of mind. I was also traveling alone and I still felt perfectly safe coming back to the apartment late at night.

    Thanks Pete for the perfect place to rest after a long day of wandering.

  • Pete's apartment was a great space to explore Williamsburg from, both the gentrified and the less so gentrified spots...
    Friendly, helpful Pete made my stay enjoyable, as did the retro styling.
    I don't remember him telling me I was pretty, though. You can't have everything.

  • Fantastic experience at Pete's apartment!
    The place is beautifully decorated and the room is perfect, quiet and with a nice view on the neighbourhood. I'm already planning to come again! Totally recommended.

  • Stay here! Pete is so kind and generous and the room is perfect. Private, clean, quiet. The rooftop has gorgeous views and the place is super close to the train. Couldn't have asked for anything more.

  • Had a great stay at Pete's pad. A very relaxing, clean, hip and spacious appartment/room. Pete is always happy to help point you in the right direction, he's quick to reply to messages and is very accommodating. The place is very close to the L line (which is really handy to get into Manhattan, especially connecting to Union Sq -14 St). Very chill, very cool.

About
I'm from New York. I like things and stuff.... usually more than slightly aged. I have my own booking agency... a lover, not a fighter... creative... I like being on stage, but I don't have to be. You should totally stay at my place... it'll make you feel good. And I'll help you find things. And I'll tell you you're pretty. Ask me anything else you'd like to know.
