Enjoy your very own sunny, well-kept one-bedroom apartment, centrally located in the hip & historic Fort Greene neighborhood but also incredibly convenient to Manhattan. Walk the tree-lined streets of beautiful "brownstone Brooklyn" or hop on the subway and you're just one stop to Manhattan via the Q,B,D,N subway lines and within a 5 min walk you'll find 10 other subway lines (2,3,4,5,A,B,C,F,G) and the Long Island Railroad to take you anywhere you need to go. If you're up for a nice walk, go see nearby attractions like The Barclays Center, The Brooklyn Academy of Music, Fort Greene Park, the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and go to dozens of world class restaurants and bars. I'm happy to recommend some of my favorite spots!
Don't take my word for it: Here's an excerpt from the NY Daily News article, "Fort Greene: The best neighborhood in New York?" There’s a hat maker who crowns reggae stars, a vegetarian restaurant with a bar scene, French bistros, coffee shops, a wine store every block, a half-century-old dive bar and a South African-themed eatery with an international clientele that makes the United Nations seem segregated. It’s got Brooklyn’s oldest park, its top high school and the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Almost every subway line snaking through the five boroughs stops blocks away. It also has some of the finest architecture, carriage houses, brownstones and tree-lined streets in any section of this or any other city.

I loved staying at Nate's apartment! It was extremely clean and comfortable, and Nate was so friendly and accommodating. My schedule was a bit irregular in respect to arrival and departure, and Nate made it incredibly easy for me to "check in/ check out" at the times that worked for me. This apartment is convenient to everything I needed - tons of subway options, great restaurants and cafes, 24 hour bodegas, a liquor store - I would easily stay there again & again.
We stayed at Nate's place for a week after spending a week in Manhattan, as we wanted to get a different flavour of the city. His place is massive compared to the place we'd previously stayed and having that much space in NYC felt very luxurious, it was much bigger than I'd been expecting from the photos.
Nate is a great host, replying promptly to any questions, easy to deal with and very accommodating of us, especially re check in/out when he let us leave our bags at his so we didn't have to drag them round with us.
The apartment is lovely, very comfortable with a powerful shower and all the facilities you would need, including a bottle of wine Nate kindly left to welcome us. We stayed while the city was experiencing particularly cold and snowy weather and wanted to be able to utilise all our suitcase space for warm clothes and snow boots. It was great, therefore that Nate provided towels and a hairdryer, as it meant we didn't need to pack them. It was especially nice to feel we were staying in someone's home, with their personal effects around us, so we could pretend for a week that we were true Brooklynites returning to the top floor of this gorgeous Brownstone!
We mostly chose Nate's place for the location and it exceeded all our expectations. Fort Greene is wonderful, with its gorgeous park just across the road and lots of great cafes, restaurants and shops very nearby on Fulton St, DeKalb Ave and Lafayette Ave. There are shops just outside the front door for basics like bread, milk etc. as well. There are also world class music/arts and sports venues mere minutes away. We went to a concert at the Barclays Centre while we were staying and got such a kick out of walking there in 8 minutes.
We explored much of Brooklyn on foot from the apartment, lovely areas like Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill, Clinton Hill, Prospect Heights and Brooklyn Heights were all an easy to walk away, as was the Brooklyn Bridge. And if you get tired of walking there are numerous subway stops just minutes from the front door, which will take you all over the city.
We spent most of our holiday plotting a way to move to Fort Greene so would definitely stay here again - Nate if you ever want a house swap to Bristol, England, let us know.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Nate's place. I came in the snowy, cold winter and the apt. was warm and enjoyable. The bed was comfy. It was fantastic to have a useable kitchen. Communication was easy with Nate and I knew exactly what to expect. The apt. was ideally located for me and I would (will) stay there again next time I'm in Brooklyn!! Thanks Nate!
Nate is a great host and the place is in such a fantastic location. A brisk and quick walk in 3 different directions take you to different undergrounds which basically means you can get to anywhere and anywhere! The place has decent space for the price considering New York / Brooklyn pricing. Thanks Nate!
Nate has a very nice apartment and is a great host. The location is very convenient and we loved the neighborhood. Thanks Nate for a great experience!
Lovely place and well-located. We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, clean condo. Nate was a welcoming host, is well-organized and provided helpful information. We would recommend this to anyone.
Thank you, Nate! I booked this apartment for my parents who were visiting the city for the weekend, and they loved it. Super cute, clean, comfortable, and in an great location. Nate is an awesome host. He has an entire guide written up that answers any question you might have about the apartment and the neighborhood, and made sure everything was set up and squared away before my parents arrived for the weekend. Highly recommend Nate's apartment. Great experience all around.
My wife and I loved being able to stay here. It felt like home, and it provided easy connections to the subway lines we needed to get in and out of Manhattan. Thanks, Nate, for being a good, responsive host.
We had a lovely time in Nate's apartment. It's big and very bright with windows on either side of the building. Despite its location street noise is minimal in the living room and essentially non-existent in the bedroom. The bed is very soft but that might suit you. Nate went out of his way to arrange our booking and make sure everything was okay during it. Thanks!
I had a last minute trip to NY for a few days and needed to find a place to stay that night. Nate made this happen for me! He responded right away and was available to answer any questions throughout my stay. His place was so comfortable and quiet. The area around there is great to. Lots of restaurants, close to the park for a morning run and just blocks away from the train. The BAM theatre is also just around the corner too if you feel like seeing a movie. All in all a great stay and I thank Nate for making it happen. Oh, and there were cookies for me when I arrived!
